  1. If you don't want to read my spiel, (heading off the TL;DR responses), I am looking for the BEST experience modding can provide in terms of graphics and gameplay. I am a complete noob to these forums, and I hope I won't cause too many issues asking for something that may already be available in other discussions. First off, let me say that I am a HUGE Skyrim fan. I have all the books, special editions, everything you can imagine. Second, the journey to this forum has been extremely long. I lost my computer to an electrical storm in 2011 and I have been in financial straits ever since. Skyrim is my all time favorite game, but I have always been disappointed with the PS3 release of the game; too many bugs, and not enough updates. When I started seeing videos online of PC Modders improving the game 10 fold, I was awestruck by the level of detail and graphical improvement. I saw better content and improved gameplay. Thus began my journey to (back to) the PC. I have always been a PC gamer at heart, but I'm not one to half-ass a purchase - and I refused to buy a PC without doing it right. That means BUILDING one. Every time I came close to affording a good build, something terrible would happen! Lose my job, car breaks down, medical emergency, you name it. Well fortune came my way and I purchased a computer finally! It's all set up and my sole purpose of using it right now is Skyrim. The best possible Skyrim ever imagined. If it matters, this is what I have: Windows 10 64bit MSI Z97-G45 Gaming Motherboard Intel i7-4790K 4.1GHz CPU 8MB Cache 16GB DDR3 RAM 1866HMz ASUS GeForce GTX970 OC Edition Liquid cooling and aftermarket fans with a hell of a power supply, and I'll be running Skyrim off of a Solid State Drive for fast loading and reading. All of it ready to handle as many combinable Skyrim Mods that work together properly. I'm super excited and NOTHING else is going on this computer until I get Skyrim fully modded. This is a dream come true guys. All the advice is appreciated. FYI I am following the guide found on https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/wiki/beginners_guide so far and have all the necessary programs (I hope?). Thanks!!
