  1. Hi. I was wondering how can I rip sound effects and voices from Fallout New Vegas? Thanks in advance
  2. Cool much appreciated. Also thanks for your answer also drlkevin. Kudos to both :D Thanks again.
  3. Simply put, it's a New Vagus GECK bug, only one of many. The suspicion is that when they removed things that we were not allowed to have a bunch of stuff broke. Although no one really can say for sure. You are correct, disabling multibounds will fix this and several other bugs. For example, Havok will work properly and, the "M" key will once again toggle marker such as lighting and door markers. Why does it work? Again, can't say for sure but, the GECK doesn't like Multibounds and with them disabled your modding experience will be much nicer. the only disadvantage I know of by disabling them is that your GECK will CTD if you try to open the Lucky 38 worldspace. (It is the only cell which actually uses Multibounds.) It is a little text file that lives in your documents\my games\Fallout New Vagus folder, it allows you to customize features of the GECK. By changing a 0 to a 1 in certain lines, you can do things like enable/Disable Multibounds, allow multiple masters to be loaded or, even run both the FO3 and, FNV GECK at the same time. It is your friend if you let it. http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/biggrin.gif Hope this helps Chuck Thank you so very much! I had asked this question on several other forums but your answer is by far and easily the most helpful and informative. Thank you for taking your time to help a noob out. +1 Kudos to you  Again thanks so much.
  4. Use Fallout Mod Manager its what most people use to manage their mods. It allows you to download and install mods much easier without the use of winrar as well as managing your mods much easier. Downlaod it here.
  5. I recently had trouble with room markers. When I put them in a room and refreshed the render window it would make the room invisible and the only way to make them visible again would be to delete the room markers and refresh again but why do the room markers make it invisible in the first place??? And I heard that if you disable multibounds in your geckcustom.ini it will also solve the problem but why does that work? Also what is the geckcustome.ini? Sorry for all the question but I can really use the help. Thanks.
  6. What is that? Also whenever I open FOMM it ask if I want to make the Fallout.ini not just readable. What is Fallout.ini and do I want that? I'm kinda new to modding and want to understand but this is confusing for me  Thanks and much appreciated.
  7. I wonder if there will be additional dialogue with Caesar since the Burned Man is said to appear in this game....Not that it matters to since I killed him

  9. Yes actually but I think there are mods to connect the sections of the strip and it looks fantastic.
  10. Alright I realized that if I delete the room markers and refresh the render window it appears but why do the room markers make it invisible in the first place??? Also why was I only able to select the objects when they were invisible when multibounds was checked? I used room markers not multibounds. I know I did it even appears as room markers in the cell view. This is all very confusing to me. Sorry I'm a bit new to the GECK but want to understand this and an answer would be much appreciated.
  11. Actually I just went into the get and I noticed I can select any of the hidden objects unless multibounds is checked int eh show/hide window but does it mean?
  12. Alright thanks i'll try that  More suggestions from anyone else would be nice encase it doesn't work would be great.
  13. Well I was working on a cell in the GECK when I was just about finished on it but wanted to add room markers and portals in the cell while using orthographic view mode. I finished adding the room markers but decided to add portals later so I saved and closed the GECK. When I returned and opened up my cell the rooms that I had placed the room markers on do not appear in the render window. I tried going to the show/hide window and checked every box to show everything but they still do not appear. Same with the view window. I know the objects are still there because they still appear in the cell view window. How do I make them show again? (NOTE: It is the rooms that do not appear NOT the room markers. I know how to show the markers. Just so its clear.) Thanks and much appreciated.
  14. Wow thanks for helping understand! And thanks to all the other people who responded to my question. Like I stated previously, I'm a bit new and I want to understand how some things work and I wish to become more active on this site.
  15. Thank you for your answer. But what exactly is the point of different servers? Why cant there just be one?
  16. Hey there I'm new to Nexus and I had a question about the download servers. Why is it that when I download a mod file the servers names are states that I don't live in? Also which is best for me to choose? I live in California. Sorry if this is a noob question. Thanks and much appreciated.
  17. It probably reminds you of Fallout since they both take place in a post apocalyptic world. Also I agree with a Book of Eli mod that'd be badass. The mod should be like an expansion with quests based off the film.
  18. I think I know what you mean. Yeah I believe its supposed to be the ghost people off in the distance.
