  1. just uninstal them all and play vanilla, the games broken for mods, especially location mods, with anymore patches they will all cause CTDs. the patches just make everything made in the CK on an old patch incompatible
  2. bathesda enabled mods to be made for the game but we cant actaully play them
  3. goto youtube and search for creation kit tutorials if you dont want to trudge through masses of text. its gives you a good starting point to copy from but dont go into more advanced areas like the tutorial website does
  4. at around Skyrim version 1.3 i had hundreds of mods running and only 1 or 2 CTDs. now at version 1.5 a lot more mods especially new locations, homes, castle etc CTD either on menu or loading, i use and early save where nothing is explored except whiterun. better villages which i really want loads but when i go to village and walk around......game crashes. is this the fault of Bathesda with the new updates making most of the mods made with older patches incompatible? ive even tried going back to Skyrim 1.42 but any location type mods crashes on load

  6. i saw this vid and it had a massive mudcrab attack, looked like some boss from god of war. goto 4:35 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9e5D2EAGCZM i tried to enlarge a mudcrab in CK but it will only size up so far. some of the stuff in this vid looks pretty good like footprints in the snow
  7. CK used to save just fine, now everytime i save it says "precomputing road paths" and takes about 2 minutes. i had to turn off auto save because by the time it saved i would literally have 10 seconds before it saved again and i was stuck again. how can i turn back normal saving back on?

  9. if you dont shrink the start point will be above ceiling. moved end point above the ground. still just drops through the floor, even through the collision plane. deleted it, ive got 2 dropping spiders working anyway, they trigger incorrectly now but im not touching them again in case it messes up. all i wanted was a great effect of spiders climbing down the wall 1 by 1 as you walked towards the treasure chest in the room
  10. so this worked completely, no errors, you just place it blind in the air and kepp matching it up? and it doesnt mess the world up with the bad textures? i put a dungeon entrance in Whiterun world and it did the bad texture thing, the whole area ingame was messed up and Whiterun town itself half of it went missing., transparent. are we subject to putting every mod in Tamriel? any other good spots on the map?
  11. i put a collision plane down and it works with 2 of them, but the main big spider still goes through the floor, they all have the end points lower than the floor, ive even moved the last one, put another plane down and it still does it. ill try raising the end point but that spider dropping ambush doesnt shorten in length very well, you can only shrink it so its tiny but still very long. funny thing is they all worked correctly till i decided to change them around. its odd CK, very temperamental, one minute it does things and the next game test it doesnt, i dont even think theyr triggering correctly now, they all come down at once instead of hitting 3 different triggers
  12. no the main render window, say i put a door into main render window, you can usually rotate it by selecting the object and holding right mouse down then moving the mouse making the object spin around on its axis rotating to your liking, now i come to rotate and the mouse wont do anything, it works for everything else but that. i have to double click on object, get the reference window up and select the angles with the arrows up and down on the Z axis what have a pressed? ive been through all the menus and cant find what ive deselected
  13. thanks for the reply, didnt think anyone would, i will have a look at collisions, maybe i can put a flat collision plane down. the floor it drops on is walkable by other NPCs. its just the spiders that drop down, they shoot straight through, and 1 sorta hits the floor, struggles and sinks in like quicksand, sometimes it pops back out and sometimes not, its getting me frustrated

That happened to me to and couldn't figure it out so I plugged in my Logitech game pad 360 model and it works awesome didn't have to map keys or anything I suggest to everyone not to use the keyboard for a better game experience, I wish I would have used my game controller a long time ago, x-box 360 controllers work to. hope this helped. I use 360 controller in game, i should have put CK in title but i thought mod troubleshooting might narrow down what i was saying i meant in CK i cant rotate objects with right mouse anymore. they just wont rotate
  15. have a pressed a wrong key because all of a sudden i cannot rotate objects by holding the right mouse button, been like this for days. pressed every button on the keyboard and cant get it back i have to go into the objects reference window and rotate it that way. its very irritating and slowing things down

Ive made a dungeon and decided to put a spider in. i copied a spider with a trigger box and a sleep box where the spider drops from the ceiling or wall when you step inside the trigger. when i set the trigger off and they drop it just drops through the floor, i have navmesh down and its finalised but cannot get the thing to drop onto the ground. what is happening?
  17. dunno, made a dungeon myself and on the outside world all you can see is the door floating, move around it awhile and the rest of the entrance may appear. also when exiting out of dungeon into skyrim all the LODs are gone and some of the ground is transparent, all i did was place an entrance and link it to the dungeon door, dunno if CK is bugged but i followed the Bethesda tutorial to the letter feels like ive wasted my time
  18. im having real problems with the enemy NPCs, ive put down the navmesh and the enemies are supposed to be static till ambush or patrolling. when i enter the map they must move around lookig for me, activating some triggers on the way, theres a cobweb wall on a door and behind it they are waiing, even NPCs i have on patrol at the end of the map, most of the triggers are activated from their sleep and, they must activate each other when running around, some of them dont activate at all one gametest and the next they do activate, they just do what they want. its insanity in there! could anyone with experience of these things have a look in the CK and see what problems ive got also when i enter back into the outside world it all looks weird with see through most of the ground, looks like i teleported under a mountain, and all you can see is the door floating there MAP DOWNLOAD LINK
  19. i got same probs with my dungeon entrance not showing up on map. and if i COC into the dungeon and return to skyrim through the exit im teleported back to the correct place but all the textures have gone weird, some of the ground is transparent.

  21. thats exactly what ive got. theyr all in one room about 13, the room i moved, theyr moving around, without navmesh. before i moved the room they were in theyr appropriate places around the map. not moving because of course i hadnt put navmesh down
  22. i made a dungeon, kitted it out with clutter smoke lights and enemies, everything was fine till i decided to make a corridor bigger to the last room. succesfully moved the whole room and corridor to the side and added 2 extra hall wall sections. and moved the "room and teleport" sections to the correct positions i came back in game to test and now every single NPC on the map spawns in that room. all the lighting is messed up on some of the map, most of which i half fixed and i lost some walls in the room which i fixed but didnt snap to grid with the rest of the room so i had to put them as close as posssible without seeing any gaps. WTH went wrong?
  23. cool will do, i saw something to do with camera in there, never messed around with it, hope i dont need to watch a 20 minute long tutorial to be able to use it in the most basic form
  24. got a couple of creepy crawly effects in this dungeon map, used the few (only 4) shadow lights i can use on the map and put moving insects near them so they cast a large shadow on the wall. wish i could have more shadow lights than just four. i thought it was for 1 room but seems like i can only use 4 in the whole map. ive got each section roomed off like in the Bethesda optimisation Tutorial. it doesn optimise much because is still dont get the performance id like from even a roomed off corridor section
