  1. I have no clue if any of my mods did mess with them, the only ones I can think of would of been smim, or maybe ordinator, since that allows you to place your own, but I never take that perk so there is no reason it would of been the cause, and if smim was the culprit then I would suspect a lot more people would have this issue. I did use engine fixes for the file in the screenshots, but I see it has been updated and now requires a program to run c++, which I'm not really wanting to add more files or programs to my computer just to run a single game. But I have started over this time with no smim, no legacy of the dragonborn, and I think a few other mods.
  2. Okay. That definitely sounds like a mod problem, or maybe a wrye bash problem. We would need to see what the unattached instance was. Does it have any data at all? A name? Nothing. It had no name, no folder, or file location, nothing. The other times the CTDs happened on other files, i think it was either iHud or predator vision, but I doubt it was them causing it. And to top all of this off, now I can't even get Oldrim to run stable, I am starting to think I'm not meant to be playing Skyrim at all right now. Edit: Well I'm not dealing with Skyrim crashing every 30 mins, or when I try to loot something, or get stuck on an infinite load screen, so reinstalling special edition, and looks like some of my saves made it. It says something about an object missing, gives an ID: 00000067aa64da70, I clicked on the object reference and it says something about trap oil, and that the file is from the Skyrim.esm, so it is apparently something in the master file of the game? I've added 2 screenshots, hopefully they're better then my explanation skyrim error.png skyrimerr2.png Wait, was your issue just general crashes/looting/load screens? This thread is only about CTD on saving. Are you still having that? No, the general crashes were on Oldrim, not SE, I just found it funny that oldrim gave me a lot more problem's. The screenshots are of the SE files that had the CTDs on save, well the ones that I thankfully missed when I uninstalled SE and went back to Oldrim, but it was extremely unstable, and I had no clue what was going on with it so, I said screw it and reinstalled SE and found that I missed some files, which I have now moved to a backup folder just in case. And as I said in my last post, the unattached instance come from the Skyrim.esm or at least that is what the links in reSaver showed. Though I missed the one that showed it was from the skyrim.esm, I'll add that now to this post. It's trap oil that is missing apparently. This from the SE CTDs on save files.

  4. Other then the first two files. I forgot the second time this started was due to a bugged feature in v4 of Legacy of the Dragonborn. The very first file I think I had did it about midway. The third file I did it at the end of that run since it was within 3 hours it happened. The 4th time it was relatively early on in the playthrough, though that one was really short, 30 hours when the CTDs started, and now this time, I was just summoned by them. I did check the files, and one unattached instance was found... and I just deleted all the saves, crap. Well there goes any chance of figuring it out on my end. Though I think I didn't do the wyre bash right. I've deleted all the mods and am going to uninstall SE and go back to oldrim. Edit: The unattached instance didn't say what it was from, or what it even was. It was present from around 20 hours in.
  5. And even after reinstalling everything, and following all the steps it is happening with my save again. Though this time, and actually every other time accept the first one, it happens after I have been summoned by the Greybeards. I'm really not in the mood to fuss with the special addition anymore. I'm probably overlooking something obvious.
  6. Well I'm an idiot. I must of forgotten to save the ini file after I changed it from false to true. Well, hopefully that was the cause of my issue, with this file. Though after all this, I am going to take a break from Skyrim for a bit. I'll be sure to update this post when I start back up on Skyrim.
  7. Went through 10 more files, and still nothing.
  8. Sorry for such a long break between updates, was dealing with the flu. Just wen through 10 more files (I really hope I do not have to go through all 103 for this character) and have still found nothing.
  9. Gone through 11 more files now. Still no undefined or unidentified instances or anything. Re Saver only seems to be able to go through about 7 files before you have to restart it otherwise you have to restart your computer as it fails to load a file and the error message is blank and you can't exit out of it or ReSaver.
  10. And with update 3 comes the CTDs clocking in at 47 hours. I have checked the the last 13 save files with RE Saver so far no unlisted instances. I'll check some more files tonight.
  11. Started the new new character today. 6 hours in, and no signs of trouble yet. Update. Now at about 14 hours in, No CTDs on save, but had two weird CTDs in Markarth, during the Forsworn stuff. One was when I would try to loot a certain corpse in the treasury house, and the other was when i would try to buy from Kleppr, I could rent a room no problem, but if I try to buy anything it CTDs almost immediately, sometimes a 1 second delay. Not really sure why these two instances caused CTDs, as they have never done that before in any other play through. The only new mods I have are Jaysus swords, which I have no clue why I didn't have it installed already, as it's a great weapon pack.. The version 5 of legacy and the updated patches. I did enable Helgen reborn and had to rerun the legacy patches afterwards to get it's specific patch. I removed Thane weapons reborn, since it is incorporated into legacy v5. I did add Dawnguard arsenal, fossil mining, JKs skyrim, and guard armor replacer. Update 2: At 35 hours and no CTDs on saves.
  12. Once Legacy v5 is out, and i have everything updated and reinstalled after the new CC forced update I'll check in here with progress reports at certain intervals of time played. I'll check with resaver for each of these reports to see if I can catch anything misfiring or being orphaned for some unknown reason.
  13. I haven't used the share function since that character. My next run is going to be an actual story run through, but I am waiting for v5 of legacy to come out first. If anything starts acting up with the saves I will be sure to post it. I will be keeping Engine fixes installed see if that helps with a fresh play. I do have other theories as to what is causing it, or at least is the culprit for me. But I am going to wait to see what happens with my next character before I move on to them.
  14. It didn't say anything about legacy, but I read through some of the other posts and saw one or two mention it was in their load orders. That and the second or third time this accursed bug happened with me it was after i enabled the display share function (which is being removed in the next version, for not working properly.), and when I went to a save (thank God I thought to be cautious when testing that function myself) prior to activating it I was able to continue that file to end what i wanted to do with him, before it happened again. With this now dead play through, the first sign of it happening I opened up resaver and checked the most recent save and the quick save. The save was clean, and the only thing the quick save had was an unattached instance was for iHUD. But that I think can be attributed to me quick saving while the hud was fading.
  15. Welp. New character file started this CTD on save crap again. Tried the original solution, no luck at all for that. Tried the engine fixes and no luck with that. Not sure what to do now. I wonder how many of the people who this has happened too, all have Legacy of the Dragonborn installed.
