I appreciate the honesty and the prompt response in dealing with the problem, changing my password was the least I could do. Thanks for the warning.

COBL dinner/buffet plates are empty
DarJee replied to DarJee's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
Sorry for insisting, but... I can't believe that no one is using COBL with hunger/survival mods. I thought I was the only one left! -
How to completely and totally uninstall OBGE?
DarJee replied to dxdragon's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
Make a backup first, in case you want to recover some of the current settings, then try deleting your Oblivion.ini file. It will be recreated at startup with default (safe) settings. Sorry, I missed that you already had done it. However, you can try setting this value: bCreateShaderPackage=1 -
Save image cosmetic bug, very bizarre
DarJee replied to tawney's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
Did you create this character BEFORE installing Oblivion_Character_Overhaul.esp? I ask because this mod can have a huge impact on facegen data and the chargen menu (and installs a different head mesh, if I recall correctly). Try disabling temporarily this mod and see if the problem persists. You may need to restore your previous head mesh, if you used one different from vanilla. If you have problems like CTD at startup, just reenable the mod. -
Run Archive Invalidation with "BSA Redirection" method from OBMM. If still it doesn't work, try extracting the related mesh/textures in the data folder (preserving the folder structure) and run Archive Invalidation again. Could be also a problem with a corrupted archive.

You are using Kvatch Rebuilt and Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul. This is the reason of the conflict. You must include the necessary compatibility patch (Kvatch Rebuilt - OOO compatibility.esp) and load it after both mods in your load order (or merge it into a Bashed Patch, but you don't use it, it seems). And yes, definitely use BOSS and not LOOT for sorting Oblivion mods.

Quote from Real Hunger - Cobl file description: Can you please suggest a few "COBL aware" food mods? My buffet/dinner plates are empty... I'm running the latest versions of OBSE and COBL and the bashed patch was created using COBL Filter.esp (deactivated and tagged "Filter"). So far, the only one I could find is this , but I would prefer a simpler solution.

Many thanks for the clarifiation. Bye!

At least now I know what this misterious Follower Double Face Bug is, and the related UOP option... So the bug originates before reaching Cloud Ruler Temple - it's the only explanation possible - because after they dismount their horses they are no more followers. Is that right?

Thanks for the link. I've already checked it out and it's a powerful tool indeed. I had some trouble finding a suitable version of Python to make it work (I've been successful with a regular - not portable - Python 3.3.5 installation and PyFFI 2.2.2). Dropping Lib and Scripts subfolders in the appropriate location, and editing the batch files to match the python executable name and path worked the magic. Last version of clothing converter crashed for me, version 0.89f works fine instead.

May I inquire what set of facial/body textures you're using? I'm not sure I understand what's your issue, but it reminded me of a problem with Martin's and Jauffre's faces at Cloud Ruler's Temple which I never have been able to fix, but I'm pretty sure it's related to face textures.

I usually leave this task to others (like razorpony here, if I recall correctly he's done some really fine HGEC conversions in the past) because it's not a simple one. But if you're insterested, there are basic tutorials on the Construction Set wiki http://cs.elderscrolls.com/index.php?title=Category:Modeling_Tutorials I woould start there.

Before exporting your work in Blender, select all (press 'A' key) while in object mode, then import a valid skeleton.nif (usually in your meshes\character\_male subfolder). Set the option: import skeleton only + parent selected. After that, follow the instructions from razorpony. Keep in mind that unless you need to resize, rotate, scale or merge objects and meshes, many adjustments can be done without Blender, using only Nifskope.

I managed to install and play version 1.18 without any problems, except a few things: 1. Infos about NPC race / class / virgin_status are not displayed after ST upgrade ('NEW ABILITY GAINED' message). Is this related to Pluggy being a requirement (HUD? Standard version?) or rather a translation issue? (I run a localized version of the game) The latter seems unlikely because everything else works fine (in english language, but that's not a concern). By the way, where is this information supposed to show up, exactly? 2. Virgins are impossible to find, no matter how I tweak the difficulty settings. The only virgins in the game turned out to be Eletta and Cherry. 3. Just curious... The ability to interact with corpses has been censored/disabled or it is unlocked at some point? I've been browsing the PSOLanguage script and the variables are all set, and so the database messages. I'm pretty sure that all these problems have a common origin, and definitely is not a load order issue. EDIT - Both the esm and the esp version seem to be affected. - I'm using DarNified UI.
-
This happens because you're probably using Setbody.esp along with Sexdarkness. The one you describe is not the only issue. For example, the amulet / tail slot add-ons available in .esm version won't work (unless the PC or NPCs use the standard body type).

And of corse, there are vulnerabilities and resistances. Fire enchanted weapons, as you certainly know, incinerate trolls and vampires very easily.

It's the normal behavior. The visual representation for a NPC's health must be obviously non-linear (you guess right, same angles do not correspond to the same amount of health, depending on how close they are to the zero point). In addition, trolls and zombies have the ability to regenerate health over time. If you have overhauls installed (like OOO/FCOM) some special NPCs added by them also have a fast regeneration rate. In similar cases, a well timed Drain Health spell comes in handy, as a finishing stroke.

Same here. Not a big problem for me, really, since my tracked mods were very few. I'm more concerned about a more serious issue, related to login. Most of the times I have to reenter my username/password, the system reports me as authenticated but when I try to add a comment I have to reenter the information. Could it be something related to my browser plugins (pop-up/script/ad blocking)? I just got a warning about my "secure key" being I don't know what... UPDATE Changing the email address associated to the account (the former was expired) proved to be effective. Now I can access both the forums and the nexusmods site without problems.

So I was wrong about the triggering event, but yes, this is indeed the dialogue I'm talking about. I was particularly impressed by the line "Farewell, with all my heart..." which I chose, in place of the more pragmatic "I'll take it from here."

This amazing game never ceases to surprise me, even if I've been playing it for years now. So it may happen to find a line of dialogue never heard before: it's the moment when Baurus and Glenroy tell you to guard the emperor, a few moments before his assassination, but this time (that's the trigger) I entered the dead end passage first. Said dialogue is much more intense and immersive then the (only) one I used to know, and the novelty really impressed me. Just wanted to share with you this nearly shocking experience.

Ozmo's Hi Res Skin Textures: A step by step guide!
DarJee replied to Talonvore's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
Hi x1mp0 I'm trying to follow the guide myself, at a first glance it looks plain and simple. The following are ideas that may point you to the right direction. Perhaps this is the normal behavior, probably the texture replacement involves only the game, not the racemenu. I could tell you more after my first attempt. This is encouraging. Make sure you have the original HGEC body replacer by RAIAR installed. In fact, some replacers have tweaked hands or feet, and that could cause the error (mine being only a hypothesis). Well, NO. When you create an OMOD either adding a folder or an archive, it's placed in "OBLIVIONPATH\obmm\mods" folder. It also show up immediately in the OBMM left panel (unless you have lots of mod installed, so that you can only see it moving the scrollbar). Unchecked? Mark that checkbox at once. Go! I suggest you delete that folder to save space, but only after you managed to get a WORKING omod from it.
