It's incredible how "okay" most people feel about this game mechanics. I have been searching for information on this topic for two years, without success. The only options are to remove the saddle from your horse or use a second horse. Alas, in quests and missions, the saddle is magically teleported to your horse.

if someone creates a mod that prohibits a player from leaving his weapon on a horse, then he will become a hero. This is the most annoying game mechanics, and I hope that its author will have a heart attack after every fight that I enter only with my pistols. Its okay, if your mod completely block weapon switching on saddles - we still can use weapon locker to do it.

+1 This is the worst, most disgusting bug, infamously called "game mechanics", in the whole game, why hardly anyone talks about it?! It is enough to go to any city or camp, and all weapons disappear! Already ten times I launched story missions without a single rifle!
