  1. Good call. That worked too lol. I'd almost forgotten about that, since I never used it, unless it was to troll my friends >.>
  2. Alt tabbing and hard closing the game works. So I suppose I can get away with that lol. Just have to make sure I don't accidentally do it while it's saving lol. Would be nice to figure out what causes it though.
  3. No, on game exit. The game loads, and plays fine. But when I close the game, it causes my screen to go black and stay like that until I hard reset my PC. Ctrl+Alt+Del does nothing, Alt tab does nothing. I tried turning my monitor on and off just in case, but that also made no difference. Now that I think about it I could potentially alt tab out and close the game with task manager and see if I can get out that way. Not the best work around ever, but better than a hard reset every time.
  4. if your steam is setup i C:\program files and folders (x86) ? then it's the operating system interfere with the game functions. This is a known issue. No, steam is in its own folder on the C drive. Oblivion is actually installed on my second HDD (E drive) which is also in a direct steam folder (E:\SteamLibrary). I moved steam out of C:\programs early on(in my PC's life) when I first got Skyrim and started to mod it using Nexus(also in it's own folder outside of the system folder). Most of my games are on E drive as my C drive is a 525gb SSD. I've also tried running Oblivion (Fresh install - no mods) as Admin and that didn't fix it either. Maybe I should install it to my SSD and see if it works then lol. I don't see how that would make a difference, but I've run out of ideas.
  5. Ah that. I tried that yesterday, it didn't make any difference. I even went so far as to delete the game and reinstall it. Still ends with the same result. Black screen that requires a hard reset to get out of. I'm at a loss on this one. I've run into a lot of issues with games before, but never something like this. Thank you though, for trying  On a side note, I found that if the game just straight up crashes on exit, I don't get the black screen. So now I just need a mod to make the game crash when I'm ready to quit lmao.
  6. refresh the steam cache for the game and refresh it's dependencies for graphics, there is a desktop overlay conflict. How do I go about doing that? I'm having this same issue and nothing I try fixes it. Tried google searching what you said, but most of what comes up is about steam browser, which doesn't seem all too useful lol.
  7. There are only three of us currently: Ian, Brendan and I. Brendan has mostly been investigation F4SE in the very recent past, but he's did the lion's share of getting the papyrus internals back online for SKSE64. Ian did all of the initial, basic set up for the engine but has been really busy in real life. Only 3 of you? Lol good lord. I wish I was rich so I could hire some help for you guys haha.
  8. I just want to shout out a big thank you for the SKSE crew. I'm glad they are putting work into this, and I hope it's finished soon. I'll be checking back periodically, and I can't wait til the day I can play Skyrim SE with all the mods I loved most. Hopefully SkyUI is right behind it. SKSE helped me enjoy Skyrim like I never thought I could again. And with 64 bit finally allowing my computer to run it all out without the choke point... My body is ready lol.
