  1. I see it mentioned in the fallout wiki, with the requirements for the discount being that you ask for each of her services in one conversation window. This is impossible for me since the window closes after each service. Not to mention, after poking around in the GECK, I can find no reference to her being the cheapest doctor (everything only costing 50 caps, as the wiki alleges) nor can I find any dialogue suggesting any sort of discount apart from the one you get for Wild Child repuation in Novac. So was this a quest that never got implemented, or have I missed something?
  2. I'm aware that the latter has been incorporated into the former, but in both cases I've noticed something odd; upon activating either mod, it becomes impossible to ask about what happened in Nipton ("What sort of lessons did you teach here?"), as per the original dialogue. As the idea is supposed to be the restoration of cut lines, I assume this is unintentional, but find it odd that no one seems to have mentioned it, making me wonder if something else might be going on on my end. According to FNVEdit, nothing else is interacting with that particular scene, but even after poking around in the GECK (admittedly I'm largely a newbie when it comes to that), I can't seem to find what it is that is preventing those original lines from playing. Any explanation and suggestion on how to restore them would be appreciated.
  3. Did the whole 'process of elimination' thing in the GECK and found that it is implemented by Mission Mojave (and then saw the above post. Heh). Without Mission Mojave it's flagged as "dlc04shovel". Seems a bit odd, my understanding of MM was that it was designed to be a bugfix, not a cut content restorer. Now I realize that, in fixing certain errors, certain content is bound to be restored. but this seems to be a different case. Anyone know if we were originally supposed to get the shovel that buried the Courier (which still would make this more of a restore than a fix), or is this just a little easter egg added in by the MM team?
  4. Apologies if the answer's rather obvious, as I'm not overly familiar with the intricacies of the GECK. Anyhow, long story short, I'm running Mission Mojave, JE Sawyer's patch, and moburma's Vegas Uncut mods (excluding the pack brahmin and original intro) along with some minor mods, and I've come across an item I've never seen before; a shovel called Grave Sin located where the Courier was buried. It doesn't seem to be mentioned in any of my mods' documentation, and I can't seem to find anything in the Geck that specifies from what mod an item originates. I've gone through and disabled literally everything save for the base game to try and identify the source, but the item remains in my inventory. Shouldn't it vanish if the corresponding mod is removed? Does anyone know what mod adds this, or how one can determine its origin?
  5. I recently installed JE Sawyer's mod, and wherein the pre-order items are sent to Chet's shop (an alternative I really like), but since nothing (that I've found, anyhow) tells the game to do anything apart from sending them to his inventory the one time, they vanish the first time he restocks. Now I don't know much about modding or the GECK, but could anyone be so kind as to explain to me how I might get them to persist until purchased?
  6. In the field between Nelson and Camp Forlorn Hope, the injured NCR soldiers never seem to appear. There are landmines present, but no bodies (save for the occasional dead NCR patrolman). According to the Vault Wiki, they were removed in the Xbox version upon the release of Dead Money, but I'm fairly certain I've heard of people with said expansion encountering them in the PC version (the wiki even lists Letter #9 as being on an injured soldier located west of the Abandoned BoS bunker). Any assistance as far as how to restore them VIA the GECK would be greatly appreciated. And, on an additional note, just in case someone who knows reads this and missed my other post, is it possible to use the GECK to restore the NCR annexation option for New Vegas and Mr House( as opposed to killing him)? Thanks again
  7. I've poked around in the GECK a bit, and while I can find certain references to the quest ( annexation note, general citizen dialogue, a bit with Colonel Moore) I can't seem to locate anything in Mr. House's dialogue, disabled or otherwise, that would facilitate this quest solution. Does anyone know if all the components for the quest are still present in the game files (assuming it was completed, of course. My understanding was that it was simply cut before the game was released) and, if so, would it be possible to reimplement it?
  8. I would like to enable the cut dialogue relating to the fiend leaders, but my skills in the GECK are fairly limited and I can't seem to figure out what I need from the tutorial. What would I need to do to cause the fiend leaders to go into dialogue mode with me rather than giving me generic fiend responses? Also, in the case of Bert Gunnarsson (the ghoul follower in the Aerospace park), all of his dialogue options relating to Nephi (save for the one about his death) stem from his cut intro dialogue. My question is, what would be the proper way to making this option available? I was able to get it to appear by linking it to one of the existing options (the "What do you do here?" option), but how would I go about making it available from the get-go? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  9. During the Dealing With Contreras quest, while speaking to Keller, I'm supposed to be presented with the option to call him out on the fact that he is a Ranger if my perception is at least 7. My perception is currently 9, and yet every time it acts as though I failed the dialogue check. This is particularly odd since, not only is the failure dialogue preceded by a confirmation that I've passed the perception check ([Perception 7]) it doesn't give me the red coloring around the option indicating that it should fail. Though it (appropriately) does if my perception is 6 or below. I've gone into the GECK and looked at the dialogue, and the only conditions seem to be whether or not the player's current perception (made sure it wasn't a base value thing) is greater or equal to seven, and yet for some reason the success option never appears in-game. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I can't seem to find anything that would explain why the success option isn't being displayed despite the game acknowledging that I've passed the stat check. (Small note: The first part of the failure dialogue consists of "[iNT/PER]" despite there being no actual intelligence check in the dialogue that I can find, and even if there were, my INT is 10. Probably not relevant, but thought I'd mention it)
  10. Recently got a hold of a computer that, while certainly not spectacular, seems as though it would be up to running New Vegas if it got a new video card. Windows XP Intel Pentium D Dual Core 3.4 Ghz 3GB Ram The problem lies in the fact that (as you get what you pay for) the graphics card is an onboard, and the only option for upgrade is a PCIe x1 slot. Now I realize X1's are about as far from ideal as it gets where graphics and gaming are concerned, but, accepting the situation as-is, I've come across a HP ATI RADEON HD 4650 DP with just over a gig of memory currently for sale, and I'm wondering if that would allow me to run a playable New Vegas (even on lower settings) and if not, if there is any known X1 out there that would be better suited to the task. Any help is appreciated.
  11. Apologies if this has been asked (and I'm almost positive it has, though my searches haven't yielded anything), but I'm curious if there have been any efforts to restore cut encounters, quests, NPCs, or dialogue apart from the community patch's fixes. I've seen numerous mentions of item and weapon restoration, but not so much in the way of quests or encounters. I've specifically got the Benny encounter in mind (wherein he tries to kill you if he survived The Fort), as I very much like the idea of this encounter (but anything, from Bohr to Gojira, would be interesting). Any clarification (or link to the inevitable discussions about this I've probably missed) would be greatly appreciated.
