  1. Hello, I have an older robe mod that I'm trying to get working. It's called Mythblue Robes. It is a re-texture of the Mythic Dawn Robe in Skyrim. If you install this mod, you can find a chest in the hall in the College of Winterhold containing the robes. They are available in a few different colours. When I equip a robe, the game crashes to desktop. I also had this problem with the velvet robes mod. What can be done to make these work? Thanks
  2. I'm trying to get new LODs in Skyrim SE. I have SE on my desktop and updated Ae-ified SE on my laptop. Anyway, I've loaded the newest DynDOLOD resources and the latest iteration ofDynDOLOD 3 Alpha , and EVERY time I load it, it gives an error. I tried using a different resource pack, and it says the resources are outdated. I use the "outdated" resources and a different version of DynDOLOD, and get another stopp error. Can someone please post detailed instructions of how to make this incredibly frustrating program work? I have Happy Little Trees and want a matching LOD. I also want grass LODs. The current stop error is "Required resource file not found" "Meshes/Creationclub/eejsse002/architecture/eej_towerroof.nif." I wish I knew language vulgar enough to express how frustrating this is.
  3. I just got a new laptop, an MSI GF63. It has 8GB of DDR4 memory, an i5 10500H CPU, a GeForce GTX 1650 4GB (With Max-Q?), and a 256GB M2 SSD. I'm planning to upgrade it with at least double the RAM and a second SSD, but that's beside the point. I've got Skyrim SE loaded on the C: drive, along with Vortex. I loaded Apachii Divine Elegance (because sweet wizard robes) and "Mythblue Robes", which adds a chest of sweet robes in the College of Winterhold. Anyway, these are the only mods I have installed. There are not conflicts. The mods are activated and installed. I pressed "deploy mods". When I fired-up Skyrim SE, the Divine Elegance store didn't appear. If you aren't familiar, the Apachii Divine Elegance mod adds a store to the map and you buy clothing and accessories there. Anyway, the chest never appeared in the College of Winterhold. The Divine Elegance store never appeared on the map. With I walk to the location, it is not there. I want to add all the mods I have on my desktop. I have maybe 30-ish mods on Skyrim SE on my desktop. I used Nexus Mod Manager to install those mods. NMM stopped adding new mods and I don't know how to fix that. I would just use NMM if it still worked. In a separate issue, I tried to use Vortex on my desktop("the Tex" from now on), it broke the game. I uninstalled all mods in NMM (but didn't remove them from the program). I tried to load my mods in the Tex, and they never appeared. I had some issues with load orders and conflicts, but got that straightened out. Even with everything installed, activated, and deployed, no mods would appear in skyrim SE. It was totally vanilla. My character was running around naked and being told to put on some clothes, because my sweet robes disappeared. Outside, everything looked vanilla, but with some rock textures missing. I removed everything in The Tex and reloaded all the mods that were in NMM. What do I have to do? In the subject of NMM, can I uninstall it and re-install it and make it work? On my new laptop, what should I do? Should I reinstall the Tex? Drop the Tex and go back to NMM? MO is not an option because I don't have internet at home right now, and MO will not even start up with it.
  4. I used to have this problem and it drove me nuts! I thought it was an ENB setting, but when I changed my ENB preset, it did nothing. After I installed Noble Skyrim, it fixed this shiny texture issue. I have been enjoying Skyrim a lot more because of that.
  5. One thing I've always thought Skyrim is lacking is beautiful vesture. Morrowind has some really sweet "Exquisite Robes". Oblivion has beautiful robes. In skyrim, even the priests, wizards, and noble characters are wearing much more austere clothing. Many "robes" are not full length, but are more like tunics. Yeah, this is supposed to be based in a Medieval (if not more ancient) Nordic location, but it is also centuries after the Oblivion Crisis. With Skyrim being having been exposed to Imperial culture, as well as that of Morrowind, it would be reasonable to have more beautiful robes. I also think thephysics of fabric should be updated.
  6. This is a topic that could be re-visited. I thought I posted on this thread last night, but I guess I didn't. Anyway, I think a Christianity mod (or Conversion (pardon the pun)) has the potential to be awesome! I'm Russian Orthodox and I think Orthodox Christianity would be the coolest version of Christianity to add. I know historically, Nordic countries in Europe were Catholic, until the Reformation. Since the Reformation, they became Lutheran. A traditional "high church" variety of Lutheranism or Catholicism would be great, but I still would enjoy the Orthodox Church the most. Just think about how awesome it would be to replace the boring "priest robes" in Skyrim with beautiful Orthodox vestments! If I was making this mod, it would keep most of the original quest-line of the game, but replace the religious elements with Christianity. Instead of the 8-9 Divines, you have The Holy Trinity, then you have the angels and saints. You still have to defeat Alduin and participate in the civil war. A few other changes I'd like to see are... 1. Add the option to broker a peace between the Imperials and the Stormcloaks. 2. Add a quest to defeat the Altmeri Dominion and abolish the White-Gold Concordat. I've always thought of the Thalmor as the real antagonist in the story. Alduin, while a lot more dramatic, is arguably less evil. The Thalmor are trying to destroy the world, if you follow the lore. They are extremely arrogant, racist, and genocidal. In this altered main quest, instead of abolishing the worship of Talos, the Thalmor abolished certain Christian doctrines or rites (like the Eucharist (which might start a war in real life in some places)). The dialogue of the priest/street preacher would have to be changed. Maybe his character could be changed to occasionally go to a secret location where the Faithful gather and celebrate secret Masses (or Divine Liturgy). Maybe the College of Winterhold gets swapped-out for a controversial monastery. The monastery on High Hrothgar gets a makeover as well as the monks. Like any real monastery I've been in, there is a church. I might replace all the architecture with new models based on real-world Christian monasteries. Anyway, this could be a really cool mod. Somebody has to get started on it! Maybe my true calling is modding. I need to learn how to make my own mods! Edited to correct some details and correct spelling/grammar.
  7. Bump! Just checking to see if anything has happened in the vein of making a Church mod, or just sets of vestments for Oblivion or Skyrim. Skyrim is awesome, but the vesture is too simple for my exquisite taste.
  8. Windows XP is set so file extensions are visible. I didn't reply before because I don't use that computer all the time.
  9. I can see the files in Windows and placed them in the appropriate folders. In the game's data file option, nothing shows up.
  10. I'm having an "invisible.esp" problem too. I'm running Windows XP
  11. If you could layer on garments like in TES III, that would rock. The alb and cincture would be one garment. The matching stole and maniple and dalmatic (or chasuble) would be a second outfit. I had been thinking that everything would have to be one garment because of how clothing is done in TES IV.
  12. Here are pictures and sketches of Dalmatics laid out. IDK if this is essential information for the game. The dalmatic exists with a few notable style variations. However, they are all an ornate outer tunic. The exception to that "outer tunic" descriptor would be its use by a bishop, when it is worn under the chasuble. http://www.parrocchie.it/calusco/sanfedele/Informazioni/Anagrafe/Dalmatica1.gif This is a sketch of a dalmatic. The dalmatic does exist in various styles, but this would work. http://www.susanmaria.com/i/Venturini%20Dario/tn_DalmaticHIGHLIGHT.jpg Here is an embroidered dalmatic laid out flat. http://www.artic.edu/aic/collections/citi/images/standard/WebLarge/WebImg_000028/44693_267684.jpg Here is an elaborate and long dalmatic. I do think this is a pontifical dalmatic that would have been worn under a chasuble. http://users.rcn.com/donlav/cath-mass/images/soc-plate22.jpg In the right half of this image is an illustration of a deacon vested in a dalmatic with stole and maniple. [stay tuned for Chasuble stuff and some interesting Byzantine Rite stuff.
  13. I hope someone does feel up to making these vestments in the game!
  14. The priest wears a chasuble as an outer vestment over all the other vestments. There are a number of different styles, but I like Gothic or "Charles Borromeo" style the best. Under the chasuble is a stole, that signifies the office of the priesthood. There is also a maniple worn on the left arm. It looks like a stole, but is shorter for obvious reasons. Here is a picture of me wearing them both. http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/225100_554044743836_110502011_31553733_1115169_n.jpg Under the stole and maniple is a long, white garment called an alb. it is usually secured at the waist with a rope called a cincture. I think this is evident in the pic I just linked. Here is my blog where there are illustrations of vestments I've made. The deacon's outer vestment is called a dalmatic. It is an ornate outer tunic worn over the stole, maniple and alb. Traditionally, bishops wear a dalmatic under their chasuble. Some priests given a blessing to wear a dalmatic under the chasuble as an award for service as well. I don't have a picture yet, but the bishop also wears something called a miter. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_A5W-t7caxb0/S8gf63c90EI/AAAAAAAABFg/fgB6ejdv8uM/s1600/DSC_0237%232.jpg
