  1. Lol, thanks for sharing your experience. I see what you mean in the video. Ask Drarack for the specifics, he made the workaround for me that let it work, i just copy/pasted his stuff basically, have worked on alot since then so can't remember too well. Justwanted a way to increase special stats with an item.
  2. I got the command extender and butcher pete mods in my data folder but I'm not entirely sure how to edit the script parameter for strength in the GECK when i open the script. i dont see the word anywhere in the script so i dont know what to do, or how i would configure it for other stats. I apologize if this is frustrating to answer i can't stress how new i am to this, i have been teaching myself to do all this stuff just from youtube videos and the bethsoft geck site, and even those are very hard to follow. I have no background in modding or coding.
  3. Thanks for the reply and file, will check it out later tonight when i'm home.. Will get the butcher pete FOSE addon mod and the command extender mod aswell. I might have questions so thanks for mentioning that. Will let you know how it goes.
  4. Thanks for the reply, unfortunately it isnt working. Probably something i'm missing on my end, or doing wrong. I attached pictures maybe you can see the issue? (i should clarify i tried both scrips singularly, and then both at once in the same script file basically in the order you put it/ also tried tweaking the script type - from object to effect, and no results. think i did all possible combinations.)
  5. What i'm trying to do specifically, is make skill book equivalents for SPECIAL stats. So 7 books and each one correlates to a specific attribute depending on what type of book it is. I always thought the implant system was cool in new vegas so i wanted to make there be a way to get the attribute increases in f03 via expensive price. I know how to make the books themselves but i'm clueless as to the script that would either add a point into the attribute similar to how bobbleheads increase stats, or make a script that works similarly to a perk of intense training? I'm not entirely sure how to go about this, scripting is my weak spot when it comes to GECK.... I am a amateur modder, so i'm asking for help. Thanks in advance.
  6. OK, so i looked that up and apparently they used to use pathgrid for oblvion and older games but switched to navmesh for f03/geck. So i think that confirms my problem is i have to build the path aka navmesh for the interior so they know where to go. I still dont know why some of them in the interior are standing still/moving around alittle bit tentatively, wheres others just teleport to the front door. odd behavior. i guess i'll start the navmesh work, otherwise i have zero clue what else to do. Thanks for reply.

Hi, i'm making a custom interior cell and the issue i'm having is that immediately upon entry all of the enemies are right at the front door when i enter, as if they teleport there instantly, despite me placing them scattered about all around the cell decently far away, they still all pool at the front door when i enter, all around me like one big ball of NPC's.... Is this because i have not done the navmesh yet? Will doing the navmesh fix this, or did i f*#@ up something else? I didn't notice until i entered the interior, from a fresh save out of the vault, the save i was using before seemed to work, but i guess when i added more stuff something changed. please help. thanks.
  8. i really dont see how hard it would be to just make the workbench a craftable item and you could place it wherever you want and bam. probably would need CK though.
  9. anyone else find that once their character reaches lvl 30 EVERY f*#@ing enemy drops a "powerful automatic 10mm piercing silenced" or some other dumb equivalent. i just want enemies to drop normal guns again. i find it very immersion breaking that every single deadbeat and loser in the wasteland has a super pimped out gun. it makes no sense. anybody planning on making a mod that makes the good weapon parts very rare?
  10. any mod planned for this? i know they arnt zombies but i love the idea of being able to hack off all the limbs and them still being alive. sick of shooting as ghoul in the leg with my legendary cyro pistol and they die on the first shot. i wanna actually have to aim for the brain.
  11. i would actually f*#@ing love it if someone ported the skyrim map over to f04, kinda like what tale of two wastelands did. might not be the most immersive, but could be cool.

  13. can anybody make a simple mod to disable this, so i actually have to use my senses to figure where enemies are, rather than using the perception stat to cheat? trying to build a hardcore modded playthrough and this i find essential.
  14. i would love for all that you mentioned to be optional, meaning i can enable what i like from your mod and disable the things i dont like. to make your mod more custom to each person's taste. just my peace of mind..

  18. anyone else feel like the character's carry weight is too much? i mean my character can carry around 300 pounds like it was nothing, and i think this needs to be tweaked ;) god i miss project nevada.

  20. this is a total stab in the dark here. i have about 200 mods and im trying to figure out which one the problem one is. for some reason a mod is making enchanted items SUPER common, on bandits specifically. each bandit will have 2-3 enchanted weapons on them on average, some bandits will have 8+ enchanted weapons on them. the only mods i have when it comes to enchanting is "animated enchantments overhaul" and "ezes artifact disenchanting", but i have like alot of other mods. anyone have any idea what it could be? or a way to fix it? its jsut really immersion breaking to see bandits having top tier enchantments on their iron weapons when lvl 5.
  21. so i am playing a modded game, and i notice in certain spots near new vegas, this thing will happen. my character will stop moving and my screen will go black, and i'll hear this like, shaking sound. then i hear another sound a second later that sounds like something is burning, and then my HUD will come back up and i can see and move for like a splut second before it happens again, over and over, never stops until either i die from either dehydration or starvation. i notice that it seems a few hours pass after each time, cause when my HUD reappears after this happening my h20 and fod meters are higher. i was perfectly quenched before, yet just after a minute of this i died due to starvation. any idea what this is? i dont have any mods that i think could do this. i mostly have retextures and new guns/armor added. aswell as AWOP, monster mod and monster wars. thats pretty much it.
  22. so for some reason there is this insufferable blue hue that glows on the side of my character's eyes and i want it gone. ive tried everything and it wont come off. i even tried showracemenu but as soon as id load my game back up the blue hue would come back. it not only looks bad, but it also makes first person unplayable because the sides of the screen are blue circles....please help? i rly dont feel like starting over, ive gotten very far... below is the screenshot of what im talking about. is there ANY way to fix this short of starting a new character?
  23. hey guys, would appreciate any help you can offer. so heres the rundown, i have around 180 mods and a decent computer. load order is correct, and i run at a constant 60 fps [ 55-60 fps in towns].... so here is my issue. it seems i am catching some lag [not fps] but lag in the interactions of the game. heres some examples: when i ask to trade items with a store owner or my companion there will be a 2-3 second delay before the box opens up, when i try to remove a torch from a torchstone there will be anywhere from a 6-10 second delay before the torch gets removed and put into my inventory, when i try to feed on someone as a vampire itll take 2-5 seconds for the animation to begin and then another 5 or so seconds to say "your hunger is satiated blah blah", when i mine any ore ill hit the pickaxe on the ore atleast 30 times just to get 2 ores, and questing is ridiculous because when i go into a place i KNOW im supposed to be in the quest will not update for like 30 seconds, even if i pick up/get the item i was supposed to get for that quest. theres many other things in the game that lag just like this, but its very frustrating since its like an "interal lag" rather than just fps lag. thoughts?
