Hey gang, I stumbled across this awesome picture of Advanced Power Armor the other day, a nice interpretation of what the Chosen One from Fallout 2 would do to the armor once "acquired". Yellow paint stripes all over, a tribal armband, and a nice, nostalgic '13' where the Enclave Roundel normally is. I would love it for my Courier SIx, as I enjoy the look of the Remnants PA armor, but would prefer a personal touch, and plus, if Arcade's ending slides are anything to go by, the NCR should be hunting me down at every turn for bearing the dreaded 'E'! There already is a cool looking, heavily modified unique Remnants Armor on the Nexus, but I love the design of this image waaaay too much, and want to try tackle a retex. I'd love to do the texturing myself, but I have no idea how to get the worn-looking yellow stripes! Anyone able to help a brother out, or point me in the right direction? Your assistance shall be rewarded by internet burritos and my eternal gratitude :)

Premium Membership prices increasing from October

Was fence sitting for some time, but I've decided to bite the bullet and go premium after two years of being here. Woo! -
Hey there! When I first encountered Voslaarum and Naaslaarum during the Dawnguard questline, I was in awe of these new dragon designs. For some reason, the flattened and streamlined look of these dragons is really awesome. Is there someone out there who is able to change good ol' Odahviing to use the same model as these dragons? The model is also used by Revered Dragons, which don't appear until higher levels. I would wholeheartedly appreciate this! Thanks! Here are two images from the wiki of Naaslaarum and Voslaarum respectively: http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120806201428/elderscrolls/images/9/94/Naaslaarum.png http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120806201429/elderscrolls/images/e/e7/Voslaarum.png

BLOG PIECE: Nexus moderation system overhaul, etiquette and ethos
StealthCookie replied to Dark0ne's topic in Site Updates
Great to see that the Nexus sites are still maintaining their high standards of etiquette! The mods were what drove me to this place, but the friendly and troll-free atmosphere is what makes me stay :D -
Hey there! For my next char, I'm looking for some sort of bandana/face mask for them to wear. Pretty much the one used by the Dark Brotherhood, MINUS the hood. There seems to be a plethora of these bandanas on the New Vegas Nexus, but none for Skyrim as of yet :( I'm shockingly bad with NifSkope, so if anyone is able to separate it from the hood, that would be really awesome! Here it is, so you know what I'm talking about: http://images.wikia.com/elderscrolls/images/f/f6/Shrouded_Armor_Female_withmask.png Thanks! :D

Hey there! For those of you who don't know, the Wheel of Time is a series of fantasy novels written by the late Robert Jordan and continued by Brandon Sanderson. In this series, there are a group of male channelers (magic users) called Asha'man who wear distinctive black coats. I personally think that these coats are BADASS as hell and would love to see them in Skyrim. Here's an artist's interpretation of the coats: http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb57525/wot/images/8/8b/Ashaman_jeremy_saliba.jpg

Just finished the main Dawnguard questline and I loved it! After I had finished killing vamp after vamp for the Dawnguard, there was but one thing left to do. Cure Serana, my fave companion. I did so, but she still wears her hood outside, the whites of her eyes glow amber and she uses the Vamp drain in combat :( I'm not very capable with the CK, only knowing how to make little tweaks here and there. If someone were to either fix some (or all) of these problems, or alternatively, give me a few tips on how to accomplish this myself, that would be awesome. Much appreciated!

Hey there! I just recently swapped out my old avatar for a classic Fallout 2 Robobrain sprite that spins around. However, despite the fact that the file is a GIF, and only takes up 24 KB, it won't animate! D: Here is a link to the sprite: http://images.wikia.com/fallout/images/e/ee/Maroboaa_se.gif The answer to my problem is probably something obvious and stupid, so I apologise in advance :P Thanks!

Hey there! I've been attempting to create a unique Laser RCW that uses the Microfusion Breeder as ammunition in the GECK, and have run into some trouble. I'm unsure how to modify the regen rate of the MF Breeder so that it won't take a full minute to recharge (it replenishes one shot per second). Attempting to input a faster rate (e.g. 10) in the weapon window has led to strange issues such as the ammo not regenerating at all, and even caused issues with the weapon's firing sounds as well as the beam. While I haven't personally gotten around to using it myself yet, the MF Hyperbreeder Alpha from Gun Runner's Arsenal has double the regen rate, according to the Fallout Wiki. Yet, upon inspecting it in the GECK, the regen rate of that weapon is 1, leading me to suspect that the regeneration rate modifier lies elsewhere. I'm absolutely stuck on this, and any tips, hints and suggestions are greatly appreciated :)

Tf2 Engineer Helmet
StealthCookie replied to StealthCookie's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Discussion
Thanks for the reply Pelgar! This is exactly the right sort of info I need to get started. I honestly had no idea where to even begin before haha. Kudos for your trouble, thanks again! -
Hello people! Let's get right to it shall we? Basically, I have the idea of creating the helmet using existing items within the game. My thoughts are to combine the Construction Helmet with the black biker goggles used in legion helmets. The problem? Only mods I've ever done involved ticking little boxes in the GECK  . I'm NOT asking for anyone else to do this for me (that's why it's not in the Mod Requests forum). But simply, what do I need to do to accomplish this? e.g. What programs do I use? How would I go about finding the game files found in vanilla? and so on. Yes, they may seem like they are stupid, nooby questions, but I have a hard time finding the way to go about this in the mod wikis. :wallbash: To make things a little more clearer to you guys, here are the two items that I'm yammering on about: Here is good ol' Comps Lewis wearing the Construction Hat: And I wish to combine them with these Legion goggles, worn here by Vulpes: Any tips/steps I need to combine these two?

Hello people of the Nexus! During the time that I'm meant to be studying for Uni, I often find myself thinking up ideas for mods for Skyrim. So here are some that I managed to write down before forgetting them. I have searched on the Nexus for mods that resemble these ideas, but I can't find them. However, if they do exist and I therefore suck at searching, make sure to tell me, as I'd love these in my game ;D Seeing as how I have zero talent when it comes to modding, I thought I might as well stick them here, in case someone else likes an idea and wishes to go ahead and make it! These are in no particular order, and so without rambling any longer, here they are! Female Giants **1001 nude mods come to mind** Gyaaaah! The horror! But seriously, the Celtic-cavemen need wives. It would add depth to the game by making them seem like a living-and-breathing culture rather than just super mutants with facial hair. New Lore-friendly Animals Think back to Mart's Mutant Mod for Fallout 3. It had a diverse range of creatures that added to the lore rather than shattering it. A mod like this is quite hard to search for, so if it already exists for Skyrim, I apologize. :ohdear: Crossbows Wind it up. Click. Whoosh. 'Nuff said. Fishing Buying bait, fishing hooks, line casting distance determined by skill (what skill, I have no idea), selling off rare fish at the market. We already have mining and chopping wood, why not fishing? Seasonal Changes Yes, yes, I know Bethesda are tossing around that idea amongst others, but weather they actually implement it is another story. Not much more to say on this really! Legendary Variants of Creatures This is another Fallout idea that should be implemented. That Legendary Bloatfly of OWB will haunt me to the rest of my days. Imagine a gigantic, overpowered, unique skeever or mudcrab that would strike fear into even the most experienced warrior! Stronger Thalmor These guys apparently owned the Empire during the Great War, but I don't see anything outstanding about them. They need more health, more damaging attacks and even worse tempers than they already have! :P Stronger Alduin At least for me, the last battle was easy. For some reason, an Elder Dragon was more of a challenge, even when I was aided by Odahviing and an Imperial camp full of soldiers distractions. And I have yet to encounter an Ancient dragon, so yeah, the World-Eater is kinda looking underpowered here. He needs an upgrade ;D Corrected Water Currents Sometimes when exploring, I like to pretend the rivers and waterfalls of Skyrim are big (and sometimes fatal) water slides. However, occasionally, a river will push me sideways onto the bank, as that's where the current is flowing. It probably has something to do with the game mechanics, and most likely cannot be fixed :( Radiant Quests from Paarthurnax Though I don't know from personal experience, apparently the Blades go on little 'dragon hunts', after the main quest. There should also be similar quests given by Paath if you don't slay a certain someone. Perhaps you two can attack 'rouge' dragons or something 8) Dragons Use Other Shouts It's their language, why don't they use it more? Aside from fire, frost and fusrodah shouts, Dragons don't really take advantage of their almighty language (the obvious exception being Alduin). But what about dragons using: -Becoming Ethereal for a short while -Dismay to scare off your allies, leaving you alone to face them -Animal Allegiance, so those nearby bears become even more of a hassle. -Storm Call, just to make those higher-tier dragons rage-quit worthy. That's all I've got for now, I had other ideas, but thankfully they've already been made by modders out there. Use them, or don't use them, it's up to you. If you do decide that one of my ideas is mod-worthy (strangely enough), no credit is needed, just do it, and have fun! -ST :teehee:

I have a few: As part of Saadia's quest, I head into the Winking Skeever in Whiterun to talk to her. Inside is a nord who initiates dialogue, calling me a milk-drinker (Stupid insult really, I like milk  ) and demands that I fight her. I politely refused her, and she attacked me. I killed her and there was no bounty or hostility from others. I had another encounter where an Argonian DB assassin attacked me as I rode around near Riften. The note she dropped gave no details as to why I was targeted and by whom. I hadn't done any major peeving off of any faction, so it remains a mystery...

FACT: It is a common pastime of rabbits and foxes in Skyrim to go deep-sea diving amongst icebergs. FACT: Spriggans are the true evil of Skyrim. Being able to control Dragons and such. FACT: Horses are the bravest warriors in all of Skyrim and will fight threats with honor and courage. FACT: Giants only have one toe. FACT: Dragon skeletons can fly away when hit with a firebolt spell. They must not like being burnt. FACT: Farengar thinks I should join the Mage's College when I'm quite clearly wearing Arch-Mage robes. FACT: Despite the fact that I save Whiterun Hold from Dragons on a weekly basis, I'm just another wanderer here to lick the Jarl's boots.

About Paarthurnax, the Blades and the Dragonborn
StealthCookie replied to Soresu's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Uhhh... Didn't the Delphine say that the Blades SERVE the Dragonborn? So why is it that they blow you off when you refuse to kill the creature that basically taught you how to SAVE THE WORLD? Yes they found the info on Aludin's Wall, but aside from that, they helped out very little. And besides, Paath probably could've told you that stuff anyway. After actually meeting him and talking, I actually felt like I had more in common with dragonkind then I did with some crumbling, old, wannabe samurai duo. I left them to rot in Sky Haven. Not even worth killing them with the console. Oh, and some may say that his crimes require him to die, so as a counter-argument I give you my favorite quote from Skyrim: "What is better - to be born good, or to overcome your evil nature through great effort?" - Paathurnax
