  1. Err, is there a non-nude version?
  2. Well to be fair in Fallout i found them walking into buildings and huddling in a corner half the time and the game was really prone to crashing... I suppose it would be cool, it makes a bit less sense in Oblivion but it's still a decent concept.
  3. Hmm. I switch a lot and i don't seem to have the bug.
  4. I think it may have been how high you set his weight to be, the same thing happened to my Largely-built nord character. It's kinda to be expected given that there's an option to broaded the build.
  5. I'm interested in the fix too, wondering if there's a way without Vsync on. Don't want to hinder my framerate too much.
  6. Do you have a backup of the old launcher? If so restore it, and set steam auto updates to off. (Though i've heard steam forced it through those anyway...) You'll want to take your current launcher, rename it to something like TESV_backup (doesn't really matter. Put in the old launcher, keeping the normal name. It SHOULDN'T auto update again, but steam might. If that happens again, you'll need to set the file as read-only. I do so with a tool called Properties Plus. This is a bit of a temp fix as bethesda will probably include the shitty DRM in the 1.2 patch, but it ought to work for now.
  7. Have you played enough afterwords that it overwrote your autosaves?
  8. It could be the LAA patch you used before not being in effect, but i think they made a version compatible with the new launcher. Found it here: http://skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1013 Try this, and tell us if it solves the problem.
  9. I had the same problem, but a bit different. I didn't do the dark brotherhood quests, but i DID take the quest from the dark elf shopkeeper to break into her house. After that, she didn't appear. I used the console to make Viola appear in front of me, using the following command: player.placeatme 00014129 It should place Viola at your position, and she SHOULD go about her normal routine. If that code doesn't work, use player.placeatme 0001B13C I hope this helps, it worked for me. edit: Oh, and it may be obvious, but i might as well say it: You shouldn't spawn her inside her house, she might report you as trespassing. I'd do it on the street outside her house.
  10. I think you can check the system cache or something with steam to update the game. I'm not sure how you go about it, because i still use the old launcher as i hate steam.
  11. I've had the same thing a few times, but it only seems to happen when i click on the left side of something. Try to click more in the middle or the right of an items name, until a fix comes out.
  12. Well, i don't have it. I've never used steam at all before this game, and i had no idea that it auto updated. (Why in god's name that is on by default is beyond me) So does this mean i have to download one illegally?
  13. Oh hooray, auto aim. Yet another piece of evidence that they don't care enough about PC to do anything more than port it to us, and i guess we'll get the SDK eventually. I didn't really notice this because my main character so far was a battlemage type, but i was about to make an assassin character. Guess not.
  14. Well I can't tolerate having steam running anyway, with it on at all (even in offline) it hogs my ram like all hell. Guess i'll have to go on piratebay or something and get a cracked launcher. And on games getting buggier and buggier- I think it's out of laziness. Now that it's so easy to patch a game after release, they're not being nearly as vigilant beforehand. Why do more work when you can give your customers a broken product and fix it later?
  15. This helps, but is there any way to bypass steam entirely like we could do before this patch? Doesn't make sense to only have steam for one single-player game.
  16. Well, a game patch was recently released though.
  17. Thanks for the issues Valve, glad we were forced to use your software for no good reason.
  18. You could avoid steam at first, by going past the launcher to the executable. A patch was released recently that made it so steam HAD to be running to play the game. Thanks, valve. Thanks for being complete and total dicks. Now I have to deal with steam's memory usage and constant annoyance. Thanks for making my game run at an intolerable framerate, because of having to run steam. Bethesda, thanks for being complete and total tools. Thanks for making Steam mandatory. Bought this game and could run it well enough, now i can't. Time to go get a pirated version so i can actually play the f***ing game i bought. Well sorry for the rant, but they're all douchebags.
  19. Thanks, I like the All+5 Attribute modifier mod. I just hated constantly worrying if I had enough points into something before I leveled, it made it more a chore than a game.
  20. I'm looking for a mod that lets me automatically get 5 points in any attribute i choose upon level-up, instead of making it dependent on which skills i've leveled. I couldn't find one looking through the nexus, but this looks like it would be rather easy to make. If it's something horribly simple that i could probably do myself, i guess instructions would do too. Cheers, Cnash.
  21. I never really give my elder scrolls or fallout characters real-sounding names. I usually come up with something symbolic, like "Prophet", or "Tribal."
