  3. Greetings from the Creation Kids! You've all been very good and patient with us, and we believe that this good behavior should be rewarded. Here is your first(and only) set of screenshots that you will receive. All screenshots were taken in game with Vividian ENB. What you see is what you will get. Enjoy - you'll be hearing from us soon. http://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/images/110/2811380-1449237859.jpg http://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/images/110/2811380-1449237926.jpg http://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/images/110/2811380-1449237980.jpg http://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/images/110/2811380-1449238058.jpg
  4. It means that Tony said 90% done. :( 90% is inaccurate, and also accurate. We still have quite a bit to do, that last 10% will be a killer. I will say this: currently the file size is at 5GB. We expect this to grow by at least 2GB more. No further information at this time.
  5. *frantically adds* Would also like an "unrecognized" and/or "won't fix" status.
  6. New artwork is now available at: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/images/525653/? http://static-4.nexusmods.com/15/images/110/2811380-1430711162.jpg

It's at the top right of my mod pages. Where it says donate. I believe that is all I can say without being banned. *cough*HeyDark0ne*cough*
  8. In response to post #24574734. #24574879, #24574969, #24574999, #24575194, #24575309, #24575774, #24575984 are all replies on the same post. For the record, I do not disagree with Bethesda's cut. They set a price, and there were apparently people willing to go along with it. However, even if the price were 50% to the modder, I would think it was foolishness. I am simply happy that you all have played my work. Less of you would have had I forced you to pay for it. I am continuously grateful to this community, and to the nexus administrators. I remember being an amazingly talented and good-looking college student, holed up in his room stoned out of his mind for 6 weeks straight downloading and attempting to play FCOM, Kvatch Rebuilt, and numerous skimpy dresses for my sneak thief from here back in 2006. The girl that I had really cared about had recently left me, and Oblivion was the only thing keeping me going. No matter what is going on in my life, the Nexus has always been there for me. The Nexus was a beautiful thing then, and it is now. I am grateful for the opportunity to give back to the community. It is where all of my work will always stay, and always for free.
  9. My official statement on the matter: All of my work will always be free. And I believe any attempt to monetize this kind of work beyond donations is complete and utter foolishness. Thank you for playing my work. I love you guys.
  10. Greetings from the Creation Kids: We are continuing to progress on the mod. At this time, we are officially announcing a recast for the part of Mannimarco. Any Voice Actor who wishes to audition for the part may. It cannot be overstated that recording quality is CRITICAL. I am a professional musician with a professional setup, and I WILL know the difference. Furthermore, I will be making the final call on who makes the cut. Use of effects is ABSOLUTELY prohibited. This includes reverb, delay, noise gates/reducers/suppressors, and compression. We want to hear your natural "dry" voice. And again, I WILL know the difference, so don't try. I have arranged a set of notes for how I would like the part to be played, with references to popular western culture to assist you. I cannot stress enough how critical this part is, and how critical your acting ability and recording quality is. Notes: Mannimarco is a high elf god-necromancer. Mannimarco is not a normal necromancer - he is a PUPPETMASTER. And part of being a puppet master is being less evil on the surface, but instead being TRULY sinister through implication. That's how you get puppets. He tricks his subjects into working for him. Mannimarco speaks how he does because he is SAVORING his evil. He is enjoying himself. Every word he speaks is slowly tasted, rolled around the mouth, and swallowed like the tasty morsel of deliciousness it is. He is truly sadistic. He is smiling while saying these things, delivering his lines in almost a hypnotic, sing songy manner. He is enjoying it like a good cigar, or a robust red wine. He loves the sound of his own voice. His words and intonations drip with evil via implication. The closest approximation is the combination of the Agent Smith, Palpatine, Malificent, and Jafar. Malificent is still a bit too fast, Jafar takes things too personally, and the Emperor is too clearly evil. Agent Smith is the closest analogue to the character. Smith's voice is slow and sociopathic, he thinks he's doing the right thing, doesn't care about mortal crap, the biggest issue is he's possibly in too low a register for an elf - however I can be convinced otherwise if the quality is good. The main idea is to create an "Uncanny Valley" vibe. How Mannimarco's words and voice sound almost inviting but somehow in the back of the listeners mind evoke foreboding. : : : : In order to audition, please send me a link to your audition. The lines I would like you to record are: (Triumphant, terrifying demonic laughter) 14.(excitedly; to self) Yes. Yes this will do quite nicely. A fine board we've set ourselves this time, Old Friend. 15.(grandly, like a king addressing his people – or like a winking actor doing Hamlet) Citizens of Skyrim! I bid you humble greeting. I am Mannimarco, King of Worms, and I am come to cover to you in glory. Great tidings I bring, from the kingdoms beyond death, and handsome gifts I bear to you as well. 16.(painfully, like speaking about the plight of poor indigenous peoples) For long have I watched as your people have suffered, and no longer can I cruelly stand aside. 17.(proudly) So I bring you food and drink. I bring you riches and wine. I bring you spices and silk; strange jewels and beads; the darkness of the moon, and the fires of the sun. I bring you love, and I bring you time, and I bring all that you have ever desired. (with dramatic flair) I bring you the gift of eternal life.
  11. Greetings from the Creation Kids: We are pleased to announce that development continues to move along at a brisk pace. At this time we have nailed down your installation requirements in order to run this mod. You will need: Dawnguard Dragonborn SKSE Optionally, you will need SkyUI if you would like access to our MCM menu. The MCM menu will give you more capability with the mod, allowing you to easily turn off 'hardcore mode' and begin the quest before it is intended to begin. 'Hardcore mode' is enabled by default. However, these values will also be able to be controlled via console command, so SkyUI is NOT a requirement. At this time, we believe that it will be possible to install this mod on an existing game. We cannot, however, confirm this until we give you a specific release date. We reserve the right to include additional requirements as needs arise. Thank you for your time, thralls.
  12. Oh and to answer demongel - the music was custom made in Garageband and exported as an aif before being changed to a wav in iTunes. Audacity is not involved at all. I cannot compress it further because that would of course break the sound. And it's right up to clipping at -.01(at the loudest parts), so normalizing will have no effect.
  13. Yeah, it's not something simple like that. The tracks are "normalized"(I use the Ozone 6 loudness maximizer during mastering) and play fine with all other media - Skyrim simply cuts their levels by 50% in game. And it doesn't do it to ANY other music track.
  14. I'm banging my head against the wall here guys, searching for an answer. You would think as the creator of a music mod(for god's sake) I would be the one to know this. Adding in certain custom music it plays at half volume. I can't increase the music volume past where it is for clipping reasons. It doesn't matter what the bit sample size is(24 or 16 bit), and it's at 44.1 khz. Wav or xwm - it doesn't matter. Of course, any other song I put in has NEVER had this problem. Ideas? I'm losing my mind...
  15. A new game will almost certainly not be required, but it will almost certainly be recommended.
  16. In response to post #22614509. #22615479 is also a reply to the same post. Yeah, the one I went to was a super-secret thing where a bunch of journalists(I was one at the time - don't ask) were huddled in a small room at E3 and saw the first footage of Oblivion ever. Later we went to see their Fallout 3 exhibit. I mean, I thought that was a press conference...
  17. Um, I'm not sure if this is a semantic thing, but this is definitely not the first time they've done a E3 show. I went to the one in 2005 where they demo'ed Oblivion. So...
  18. I will confirm that we are not on schedule. We were hoping for a Jan/Feb release but that's off the table. We got hung up during the most difficult and most crucial phase of the project longer than I had allowed for in my initial projections due to a large number of people exiting and entering the team. We are back on track to complete that phase now though. We still cannot provide a firm release date, or month even, at this point. I will tell you though that at this point we have created enough content to truly make some noise. I will give you one new piece of information(and in doing so correct a misconception) about the mod: it is NOT DLC-"sized". Our initial aim was to create something of DLC quality. However at this point we have far surpassed DLC quality - and that's what's key. Don't expect more of the same from this. Skyrim/Oblivion/Morrowind's biggest flaw is that Bethesda has rarely used the engine to truly tell an effective story. They create a huge playground and do next to nothing with it. We are doing something with it. We have enough talent on the team to REALLY break new ground, and we're doing it. Don't expect more of Skyrim - expect something better. We want this to be the quest you play Skyrim for - not the silly main quest or even the good ones like the dark brotherhood or Dawnguard. In the meantime: do not expect reports from the team on our progress. Mannimarco is rising....
