As one who played Oblivion , I think argonian voices weren't very much different from Skyrim ones . The males sound better in Skyrim,at least . In oblivion everyone had that smkoker-husky voice .Other than that,Skyrim argonian heads look so much better than their predecessor ,at least they don't look like frog creatures . It's true they could've made them more compatible with expressing emotion .

Well,the thing after leather I think is studded or hardened leather . Otherwise,Amber is an actual material in Oblivion's Shivering Isles DLC . Ivory or chitin does the job too .

Well another thing might be that argonians themselves are accustomed to living in the marsh . For the marsh dweller wearing heavy armor might be like an imperial wearing heavy armor in Cyrodil .

You probably didn't have that mod because you hardly use armor whatsoever .
