Went ahead and tried this with the same black used on the Wanderer's Coat for transparency, didn't work - just appears black again :c Looks like it's a property outside of texture modding :/

I have a s*** tonne of mods installed on my FNV, so FNVEdit is essential to run the game for more than two straight minutes instead of crashing. After installing The Lonesome Road, I got some more mods ontop of it and booted FNV. After some toiling away and crashing, I realised that my merge patch wasn't functional. So when I went to create a new one, it said it couldn't find the registry files for FNV. I have no idea what to do from here on, Google beholds no results and I can't play FNV in its current state. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Not to kick a dead horse in the nuts, but can you elaborate this in more detail? No idea how to do any of that stuff and what/where the Bethesda Softworks key is.
