Now you went and got my curiosity up enough to download it... Bugged me that the shoulders, hips, elbows, knee, and just a lil stripe around the neckline didn't turn orange too... So I gimped it, and the goggles... It's all orange now!

I have used http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/2498/? since it came out... but it does take the glasses spot IIRC...
-
You might have to do that in NifScope instead of outfit studio.

If you google "EBF_DEFW_Patch.esp" it says Armorsmith Extended

There is an auburn husky that is pretty close... OP, are you telling him to stay, or using the talk option as the "proper way" ???

maybe you should ask for a refund...

What mods are you currently working on?
robtest replied to Junnari's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
Awesome... Looking forward to the 1911 ... That was the only thing I have wanted other than a Glock... Now that Sturges and I are done tweaking the ballistics of Junnari's G67... I am playing with "followup follower" to my DarkShadows canine follower. Raven's Shadow, which is a CBBE RaiderDog mesh, that IMHO, looks like a Labrador Retriever... It is a follower, that doesn't take the companion slot... Fun to run with Dogmeat or just by itself... Comes with LiquidSilver DogArmor... I will probably release a "legendary" version of it too... For those of us that like to fight Legendary Mythic Deathclaws and such... LOL http://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/images/1151/28481890-1454549189.jpg -
Those are tough bugs to find... I spent 4-5 hours last week only to find that I had an extra "\" in the file path in a nif file...

How should I change laser weapons?
robtest replied to nightrifle1015's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
You can mix and match all kinds of things between guns... I was able to put incendiary and the blue alien blast on compensators on a couple of my mods. I swapped the gun sounds on my Magnum 44 based guns because the vanilla 44 magnum sound set doesn't support suppressed sound changes... -
I made a neverEndingFullAuto Legendary... It is a blast on single/semi only weapons... Animations are a bit screwy, but it rocks on a double barreled shotgun, and is very fun on the AlienBlaster...

Creating new faction in fo4edit?
robtest replied to humanindustry's topic in Fallout 4's Creation Kit and Modders
Not quite sure what is causing the CTD ... I looked over your esp file a bit... And nothing jumped out as obviously wrong... A couple of suggestions... 1.) Create a unique RACE too... That way you have control and no "pre-existing" vanilla cross race fighting ... Put your NPCs in that new RACE. 2.) In your faction, make Player Faction (fact: 0001c21c) an Ally ... Remove the NPC from the PlayerFriendFaction (not needed now) 3.) Consider making your own custom Combat Style ... 4.) Not sure on your using the ConstructableObjects to spawn them... (My only thought of what might cause CTD btw, but then again, we do have craftable cat/dogs)... I use a WorldSpace and spawn the NPC's up at the Vault111 Exit, and then use bat file/console commands to pull them to me... They spawn not being in the FightClub Faction, and I put them into the Faction with bat file/console commands to make them start the fight. When I am done fighting them, I remove them from the faction). Sounds like we are working on a similar project... I have been developing an NPCFightClub mod... <<<link to youtube <<< -
CBBE BodySlide/Outfit Studio odd use case ...
robtest replied to robtest's topic in Fallout 4's Creation Kit and Modders
Along the way of adjusting the dog and the armor, I got a tiny tear in the dog's mesh... Didn't see it for a few versions, and then had to redo a bunch... I guess it helps me get better at doing that in Outfit Studio. I wish there was a better way to "center your work", maybe I am missing something. I can move it around with the RMB, and zoom in and out a little with the field of view and use the buttons to go L/R/Under/Front ... Then after wasting 4+ hours wondering why the armor turned invisible, and then finding a damn "\" in the wrong place in the ESP file, the project seems back to coming along nicely... http://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/images/1151/28481890-1454549189.jpg -
Add or remove weapon modifications anywhere
robtest replied to spanian77's topic in Fallout 4's Creation Kit and Modders
There is a new mod called "bullet time" that looks like it used scripting to allow you to change the parameters from the pip boy on the fly... Perhaps you could do something like that ? -
CBBE BodySlide/Outfit Studio odd use case ...
robtest replied to robtest's topic in Fallout 4's Creation Kit and Modders
So being the idiot that I am and having never done this before, I thought I could do one better and load the armor as the Reference and just put the Dog on a diet ... Well, let's just say, I now know where the emaciated raiderdog skin comes from... LOL I tried it as was so expertly suggested, and http://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/1151/images/7587-0-1454383002.jpg We now have some of the first CBBE dog armor !!! Thank you so much for your help ... again ... -
gen 4 textures (mainly grip) for the new glock 20 mod that is gen 3... Also make it made in the usa if not too much trouble as glock makes gun in their factory near atlanta now...

So I have a follower (doesn't take the companion slot) mod called Dogmeat2 ... My interest in the beginning was to do an FEVHound, but that proved too complex for me, so I got a "standalone dogmeat" follower. I have been wanting to update it for a bit and I was inspired by Floppy Eared Dogmeat by MissMorose I was able to load the dogmeat.nif into Outfit Studio, and slowly, but surely change the raiderdog to look more labrador retriever like ... http://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/1151/images/7587-0-1454295452.jpg Problem is (in typical CBBE style), now the chest is too big for the heavy armor ... http://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/1151/images/7587-1-1454295452.jpg What I would like to do if possible is to "somehow" make the dogmeat.nif like a CBBE body/bodystyle, so it shows up in BodySlide, and then be able to pull it and the heavyDogArmor nif file up in Outfit Studio and work on expanding the heavy armor that way, rather than doing it blind... Could someone please suggest how this might be accomplished ??? Also, there are 4 variables on the brush in Outfit Studio... I googled and watch several youtubes, but can't seem to find any documentation on exactly what those do and how to change them... Any comments on that would be welcome too. Thanks!

If you can get the model to a workable NIF file, I can help you make it a standalone in the game ...
-
if there is a crowbar somewhere in the game you should be able to export it with BAE snd then make it into a weapon. That is how I made a baby rattle into the BattleRattle weapon...
-
You contributed two very important concepts !!! Well played... And I have taken a play from the GECK release playbook ... My version 2 of my 44 magnum mods are coming out "soon" ...
-
you did see my post about how to fix this a few post back ???
-
damn smartphone... auto corrects weird words that I am spelling the way I want them but won't fix "things" ... scrap and cleanup are probably the problem. called cell reset which happens when you logout or fast travel. look for a mod from Derpsdale. craftable pa frames. Allows you to remake all your frames and these dont reset. thongs are a different mod... ;)
-
any mods that cleanup or expand settlements ??? There is a known bug with them resetting thongs especially power armor...

So after helping someone with their 44 magnum standalone, I started playing around with my own version with highly tweaked ballistic settings, extra parts and such in the ESP file... I dicked around about 30+ hours, but finally got it shooting the way I wanted, even able to add a suppressor and full auto to a revolver... To the game's physics engine, this is a work of art... Visually, it is kinda hacked together... LOL So I found Tutorial - Using Alpha Transparency to Create New Stuff by dragbody , and trying to follow best I can... New Technique, New Headaches ... I did kinda make it look like glass... http://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/1151/images/8967-0-1453778099.jpg Anybody done much of this? I got some basic questions like: What am I doing wrong ??? Did the author really mean cut the parts out of the texture or really mean to turn it into an alpha transparency when he said "delete all parts of the texture that are NOT on the part of the mesh you want visable" ??? Was I just supposed to do the xxxxxx_d.dds file or do all 3 files (_d.dds, _n.dds and _s.dds) ??? Would it be easier to try and pull the NIF into Blender and cut it up there and re-export it???
