  1. I tried both. The first one would act like it was working but they didn't show up. Does it take some time? Will they come running? The second one told me I had invalid reference IDs.
  2. So, I've run into a problem that I'm sure a lot of you have encountered. I keep having followers disappear on me, seemingly at random. First was Hjoromir from the Interesting NPCs mod. We went to High Hrothgar during the main quest and apparently he decided to be a Greybeard and stay. I had told him to "relax for a while" and when it came time to follow me again, he just stood there saying "I'll follow you to Oblivion and back!" I dismissed him and got the "Your follower leaves your service message." I tried in vain to get him to come with me. After trying and failing to convince Hjoromir that he wanted to be an adventurer and not a monk I dismissed him from my service and moved on, thinking he'd eventually show back up in Riverwood. He hasn't and it's been at least two weeks in game time. He's also no longer in High Hrothgar. Second was Faendal. I sided with him over Sven and took him under my wing pretty early. One day, we were leaving Castle Volkihar after taking Serana home (I'm interweaving the main quest and the Dawnguard main quest to keep things fresh) and he disappeared at some point in the marshes near Morthal. Maybe Morvath got 'im? I've fast-traveled and waited three days in an interior cell. Neither man has returned. I know the console code "player.placeatme [corresponding ID] but that gives me a copy without the gear I'd given them. Also, I'm worried that it will create a duplicate and that some day, I'll be standing there with Faendal Jr. when Faendal the Elder shows up. Any advice guys?
  3. (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/17746) That's for the staves on your back. However I can't promise it's up-to-date. For the other two, not that I know of but it's possible.
  4. There are at least half a dozen fairly complex Vampire game-play enhancing mods out there. Belua Sanguinare, Brehanin's and Vampiric Thirst to name the three (in my humble opinion) best. However, there's ONE "decent" werewolf mod: Tales of Lycanthropy. Now, what ToL does is pretty cool. It makes the disease communicable and causes you to transform based upon the moon's phases. It doesn't do anything for the game-play once you're in Beast Form though. Yes, Dawnguard added perks to Beast Form but playing with SkyRe installed, I get chopped-up SUPER quick in Beast Form. Even common bandits are an issue. I'm looking for a mod similar to one of the three vampire mods mentioned above but for werewolves. I assume it doesn't exist, but there's always the chance I've missed it. Does such a mod exist? And if not why hasn't some one made this? The forced, lunar transformation and communicable disease things are cool, but can't game-play get a balanced, fun boost as well? If anyone knows of anything I've missed, let know!
  5. Hello, mod detectives! I'm looking for a mod that fixes the issue of the ever-changing neck-seam on vampires created by the player using a vampire mod. Specifically Brehanin's Better Vampires. I've been told that it's an issue with the Creation Kit and or coding. I've seen a few mods that claim to do this but haven't had any luck, perhaps they were in the wrong load order. I've also tried mods that make all vampires incredibly pale (which would be fine with me) but that just seems to effect the body. Does anyone know of a way to do this? Even if it's kind of a work around, that'd be okay with me. Thanks, guys!
  6. I feel like this must already exist but I cannot find it for some reason. I'm looking for a mod that adds clothing to Skyrim. Nothing lore-breaking and nothing over-the-top, just some good ol' fashioned clothes for the men AND women of Skyrim.
  7. Some one said that it would be possible to create vampires without the infamous neck seam by adding certain keywords and just changing the eyes. Something about not actually changing the race. Is this possible? I don't care if they flag as undead, so long as they have the vampiric eyes and use the Vampiric Abilities.
  8. There's a mod called Snow White Vampires here on the Nexus. That'll make you pale! If you use Belua's, you won't need it though.
  9. I'm trying to use batch files to set the weight of a few NPCs--to offset the neck-seam issue from turning vampires using Brehanin's Better Vampires. The console command seems to be "setnpcweight (amount) (ID)" however, it tells me it's expecting the end of the line? I'd really like to figure this out. If I wanted to do this, what's the formula I need?
  10. Alright. I changed around my vampire mods--using BSR now--and it works fairly well. There's still a slight difference after I adjust my follower's race but that's fine. The problem is just that it WILL not stick. Whenever I exit the game, main menu or desktop, the problem's back when I reload. Is it possible to write a script that immediately performs "setnpcweight XXX" to whatever the the default is, thus correcting it automatically? If there's a better fix, that would be AWESOME, but... this would be nice if an over-all fix isn't reached.
  11. I just tried this, and while it DOES change the tone of their face, it doesn't fix the seam issue. It's just two new colors. Any ideas?
  12. If you've ever played with a mod that allows you to convert others into vampires, you know what I'm talking about. Their body's skin-tone doesn't match that of their face, so you end up with a very vampiric face but not so much elsewhere. If you're like me, that's VERY bothersome. Is there a plugin/patch/mod that I haven't found yet that fixes it? I don't care whether I have to use Brehanin's or Belua, I just want the vampires I turn to match from head to toe. Does this exist? If not, will it be possible once they release the Dawnguard codes? I know in "The Gift" you can transform your spouse.
  13. I'm aware that the monstrous (bat-like) feature having vampires are actually a different race. But, would it be possible to give those features to a vampire upon transformation WITHOUT changing the race? I'm using Skyrim Redone and its custom races, which I'm guessing will matter. Though if that were possible I may be willing to drop SkyRe Races.
  14. That's perfect! Thank you, so much!
  15. I've seen a lot of mods starting to surface that implement Morrowind-style skill-requirements for each "guild." Perhaps when the one for the Thieves' Guild finally shows up, the author will be kind enough to make sure Brynjolf's script for "You've never done an honest days work..." won't trigger until those are met. Also, for anyone who isn't aware, you don't HAVE to pull of his scheme to get the information about Esbern. Just tab out of the conversation as soon as that's possible and go talk to the innkeeper at the Bee and Barb. It might not fix it being in your journal, but there's a least another, non-criminal way to find Esbern.
  16. @Moraevik Don't think of it as a journal in the "diary" sense. I like to think of the journal as an Elder Scroll if sorts. The reason things you'd never do are in there isn't because you're putting them in but because the journal is a reflection of all possible outcomes.
  17. Longer lasting crafting potions Thank you, sir. I had asked on Belua's page if that ability "Suma Forma Mortalis" would cover it since it SEEMS like it's a race change but I didn't get an answer. This works much more smoothly anyway!
  18. You could always try Skyrim Redone (SkyRE). You'd have to start a new character but it's well worth it (in my subjective opinion) and it's definitely more challenging. SkyRe: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/9286
  19. I'm looking for a mod that will allow me to both be a vampire and join the Dawnguard. I want to roleplay as sort of a Blade character. Does anyone know of a way? I like Belua and Brehanin's mods, but don't know if what I'd like is possible.
  20. I'm looking for a mod that's compatible with Brehanin's Better Vampires that would allow me to be a vampire and join the Dawnguard. Is there any such thing? I don't care if it's a spell or power or just a script change for the Dawnguard members. I want to be Blade... well, sorta. EDIT: Nevermind, guys! Didn't dig deep enough the first time. Sorry. Join The Dawnguard As A Vampire - http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/21932 Maybe it'll help some one else!
  21. I've long been playing the bad guy and I've grown bored of that and wanted to make a heroic play-through. However, there are quite (read: most) a few of the daedric and side quests I have yet to do. I've really only done the main guilds and the main quest. So, I'm wondering how many quests I'll flat-out have to miss being the good guy? I don't mind it staying in my journal if I resolved it in some way--say killing the leader of the bad guys (Taste of Death can be done this way, right?) I'm not looking for an accurate number or anything, just a general idea of what and how many quests there is NO way to handle morally. Thanks in advance guys!
  22. Personally, I'd get together with a blacksmith and an alchemist. From there, we'd find funding to start our project: Building Tamriel's first guns. After perfecting a few prototypes of varying caliber, I'd sell some of the weaker, simpler guns and blueprints to the highest bidder for considerable profit. I'm talking give them a musket while I design a semi-automatic rifle. I would then use that money to fund research on a more powerful, possibly automatic weapon. Assuming the gun designs were worth enough, I'd also hire a small army of body guards at this point. Using my new arsenal and small army, I'd find the the camps of local skooma dealers, bandits and slavers--I'd raid their camps and appropriate anything of value. Seeing as I'm not one for slavery, I'd allow the slaves the option of walking away or joining my army. I'd use the spoils of my bandit raids to increase my army's size and continue on in that manner until I had a pretty sizable force; all the while turning out more, higher quality guns. Then, I'd begin renting my force out to governments and other organizations (a la Blackwater). By this point I'm fairly wealthy, well-armed and I would assume that my contracts have netted me at least a little governmental influence. I'd pretty much live out the high life and if Alduin reared his ugly head, I'd see how well dragonscale stands up to .50CAL bullets. Wolves and such wouldn't be much of a problem as guns handle that fairly well. My only real threat would come in the form of the Dark Brotherhood and rival contractors (do those exist in Skyrim?) so I'd flex my metaphorical muscle and Destroy the Dark Brotherhood. From there, it's just a matter of running a small army which isn't by any means easy, but it's better than going at a sabercat with a sword.
  23. I can only find a few perk overhaul mods and most of them seem to be stagnant or dead. PerkUP, Synnx's Perky, the one included with SkyRe, ACE and the various others that modify it on a tree by tree basis. I'm looking for a Dawnguard (Crossbow) compatible overhaul to the perk trees that changes most, if not all of them in one mod. Any suggestions that I've missed?
  24. The crunched nose. The heavy brow. The monstrous look of vampire NPCs. Give that to the play. Basically, when I get to stage 4 vampire, make me look like a monster.
