Hey guys, so a little more than six months ago, I was on the team for the City of Scum mod that was never created. However, another contributor for that mod, Artparker, created a level design for a completely different mod called Pirate's Cove. I got to take a look at his work and I thought it would make a very awesome mod. Here are some pictures I took and then I'll talk a bit more about the mod itself. See the full album here <--- 8 full resolution photos! http://i.imgur.com/7XNaM7nl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/qUjRaeDl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Wu92o7cl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/qFlqQbql.jpg So basically the idea of the mod is very similar to City of Scum, this little town is basically where all the scumbags of the sea wash up. Its where pirates, thieves, beggars, skooma addicts, and shady underworld types go to gamble, drink, and do business, away from the prying eyes of the law. The town's location is very special too. Its located on the northeastern coast of Skyrim in a little inlet. Its the perfect spot for sailors traveling between Solitude, Windhelm, Blacklight, and Solstheim to stop and enjoy themselves, restock on supplies and trade with others. The town itself is basically fully created, thanks to Artparker. None of the doors work because there are currently no interior spaces. If anyone wants to help get this mod rolling again. With a large array of NPC's and interior spaces, I believe this mod can be release worthy, we can go about scripting quests and unique voice acting later on after release and after player feedback. I also think it should include a NPC with a boat docked at Solitude and Windhelm who can take you to Pirate's Cove for a bit of gold, because it honestly is a very hard to access place if you don't use fast travel. I can do some scripting, NPC, and custom texture work but level design is not my forte I'd attach the mod to this post so you guys could see it for yourselves but the mod doesn't belong to me, it belongs to Artparker and until I get his permission I don't know if I can upload it. So tell me what you think guys! I would really love to see this mod come to fruition!

Honey, sorry to break it to you but Luftahraan is never coming out. It has been delayed over and over and over again. They had the major framework done back in 2012. Its been TWO years since development began. If they were already done with MOST of the mod by early 2013, and yet its been delayed to as late as 2014, and we don't even know if its early 2014 or late. Truth of the matter is, this mod is not going to gain any more momentum and it'll slowly stop rolling. Its over. I'm sad about it to but its over. As for this mod, someone should contact the original developers making this mod to see about getting it started back up again.

It might be because I'm using Dead Body Collision (makes dead bodies solid so you can, like, stand on top of them). But I also use Sneak Tool, which lets you move "unconscious" people around and it works perfectly so idk.

so... I am guessing this is dead??? So many amazing mods that have become dead... Luftahraan, HHG, CoS, gah I am sad ;__;

LE saying "no" to the guilds/ main quest?
Tehandyman replied to paulhanna's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
What kind of question is this, if you've been playing Skyrim to "do everything, accomplish all" then you are doing it wrong. It's a single player game, you're never doing it wrong. Anyway instead of that console fix, I believe that the mod thief guild requirements allows you to set it so byronjorf ignores you until you actually do some thiefish things. the fact that it is a single player game doesn't mean you can't do it wrong. Jacking off is a single player game but you can still do it wrong, I can't imagine how but its possible. Sure he has the right to play it however he wants but that doesn't mean its the way it was intended to be played (a.k.a. doing it right) -
LE saying "no" to the guilds/ main quest?
Tehandyman replied to paulhanna's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
What kind of question is this, if you've been playing Skyrim to "do everything, accomplish all" then you are doing it wrong. of COURSE if I am playing as a hero character i would NOT join the DB? Or if I was a straight up warrior I would NOT join the mages college? How could you even ask "you gonna do some quests and not others?" like what kind of question is that? Is there some kind of social justice that says that I can't discriminate between quests? Am I "quest-ist" for doing that? wthell? I am not riled up, I'm just saying, lmao. anyway as for the OP, there is a mod called The Choice is Yours that makes it so that you get fewer "forced quests" like when Aela talks to you or when you ask innkeepers for rumors and stuff. As for DB, just stay away from Aventus' house? And as for Brynjolf I actually have a console fix for that, as soon as you enter riften for the first time, Brynjolf is going to be creeping on you, whether in the inn or at the plaza, but anyway, as he is approaching you, pull up the console and select Brynjolf and type "tai" without quotes and enter it. That will freeze Brynjolf. Then go ahead and talk to him while he is frozen and he will start the conversation for stealing Madesi's ring, tab out of the conversation right after you initiate it and he will say "I can take a hint, blah blah" and once he is done talking, no quest will initiate, and then you can go ahead and go back into console and "tai" him again, and he will go about his business and never bother you again. -
LE Looking for a team for Deltora Quest!
Tehandyman replied to saintgrimm92's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
I am very good with textures provided I have a workable mesh. If this mod idea becomes a thing, just letting you know you have someone to help out with textures should the need arise. I am currently learning how to mesh properly but so far all I can do is crap mashup jobs of vanilla assets. -
No I seriously have problems dragging bodies as well, it was easier back in 2012, but I think they patched it, or maybe its a result of a mod i'm using? Its almost impossible to drag bodies now and I would like for a mod to just make it very simple and easy to drag bodies around. Its very hard to perform satanic daedric rituals when I can't drag bodies around lmao.

LE The day the weapons turned gold ( gold weapons )
Tehandyman replied to TankDonutsJr's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
I lol'd so hard reading this post. Its so incoherent but you can totally see the mod author's thinking process throughout lmaoooo. Anyway, gold is a very soft metal, relatively. Thats why it's never used for weapons or armor, if anyone had one it would most likely be for decorations and such. -
So I recently got the idea to have mailboxes at all the player homes (or placeable mailboxes for custom player homes). What this aims to do is pave the road for a new type of mods and some existing mods that have been looking for something like this to help make their mods more immersive and believable. Have you ever been wandering around in Skyrim in GODS know where, and you are just maybe sitting on some iceberg wondering how the hell you go there when suddenly a courier appears out of nowhere and hands you some inheritance money like ?!?!??!???!?? hOW ARE YOU HERE. How did that courier find you and even follow you to this gods forsaken corner of skyrim? It totally breaks immersion and then you have that awkward moment where the courier just stands around as if waiting for you to tip him or something and I usually just end up killing that sonofabitch just to break the awkwardness (killable couriers mod ). While this mailbox mod will definitely take care of those scripted in-game deliveries, it can also do MUCH more. This mailbox mod aims to connect you to the other people of Skyrim, something that the game itself doesn't really do too well on a large scale. While this mod doesn't aim to add actual scripts that send mail to your mailbox, other mods now have a outlet with which they could make mods like this. Here are a few ideas for how a Mailbox mod could be utilized for other mods: Mercenary Jobs: "Calling all Mercenaries! I've got a nice, hefty bag of gold for the first person to...." Gifts, Offerings, and payments: "Thank you again for .... Enclosed is a little something I put together to show you my gratitude."Salary Mods: self explanatoryAssassin Jobs: "I've got a... 'skeever problem' that needs to be taken care of..."Advertisements: "Come down to the freshly stocked Bits and Pieces! We've got everything, even that vase that looks suspiciously like the one you threw out last friday!"Special Events of Tamriel: Get updates to what events are going on today, and birthdays of close friends coming up or currently happening.Merchanting: "Hi, I was looking for a.... and I am told you are the person who can find it for me!" As you can see, there are a variety of ways a Mailbox mod could be used to add immersion and life to Skyrim in a way that hasn't been done before. If this mod gains enough popularity, it could become a staple of Skyrim modding and many mod authors would perhaps incorporate it into their future works. The work for this mod is very minimal as all that needs to be done is create a model for a lore-friendly mailbox and then have them placed at player homes all over Skyrim (or like I mentioned earlier, a spell (?) that can let you place these mailboxes whereever you want. The idea for this mod, I was actually inspired by Special Events of Tamriel where the author had a problem with how to relay information to players in a way that did not break immersion but rather pulled the player into the game even more. So tell me what you think and if this mod has the potential to take off and become something big. Thanks for reading!

Yeah I understand what a paladin is I was just trying to convey the fact that the more research I do the less sure I am of myself. The idea that paladins use blunt weapons I got from the observation that monks and other holy fighters tend to use blunt weapons because they are trying to be as non-violent as possible. Blunt weapons do not draw as much blood as swords and other bladed weapons and so they are viewed as a more ethical approach to incapacitating your foes. Don't decapitate Incapacitate! (And also break skulls and rib cages causing severe internal bleeding and probably cause much more painful and slow death than just straight-slicing that head off)

Okay so I'm working on a Paladin right now and I have run into a few problems with my build. I started this build during the summer, got to around level 20, and stopped. Now I'm revisiting it and I'm finding all these problems that I can't believe I missed my first time around! First problem is Paladins are anti-undead, and very holy right. So that should mean that my Paladin loves Aedra and hates Daedra. So as a result of that I decided not to do any Daedric quests at all. But for some reason, I totally blocked out the fact that Meridia is a daedra and just did her quest and got Dawnbreaker because well, I wanted to explode some dead guys. So now I'm conflicted on if I should even use Dawnbreaker because its technically daedric-spawn and I'm anti-daedra obviously so what should I do in this situation. Also Paladins traditionally use hammers, maces, and clubs because bashing someone's head in and breaking all their bones is apparently less violent than dismembering them and bathing in their blood. So while Dawnbreaker seems like the ultimate Paladin weapon, ITS KIND OF NOT? Because its a daedric....sword. While a traditional paladin would use non-daedric.... blunt weapons. I really like dawnbreaker and its explosions have saved me so many times by making nearby undead flee but I'm starting to think maybe I should've gone the hammer route? I do use PrivateEyes Heavy Armory so there are One-handed hammers a.k.a. mauls which would be a very good fit but UGH NO MORE DAWNBREAKER, MY BEBE. And please don't comment saying "lul just use whatever you want lul because on one hand I want to be a traditional paladin and on the other hand I want to explode everything do you feel me. EDIT: okay so I did more research and according to this shitstorm thread: http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/615803-the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim/66251184?page=6 Nobody is really sure what weapons Paladins use, so I'm going to assume BOTH OR EITHER. But then I started questioning if i was eVEN A PALADIN IN THE FIRST PLACE, I SOUND LIKE A CLERIC BECAUSE I'M DOING RESTORATION SPELLS? I AM SO LOST RIGHT NOW WHAT AM I. okay screw labels I am simply a knight that uses hammers/swords and restoration spells.

It seems to be up but its really REALLY buggy right now and I can't download the file lmao... I'll check back later.

Ice dolphin couldn't you just add a leveled list of staffs to appear in court wizard shops? Seems rather straightforward.

I can do it, sorry I was busy yesterday. I'll get started when I get home, I'll have it up in a few hours most likely EDIT: never mind, the nexus is down LOL, if I can't find the model elsewhere on the interwebs then you'll have to wait till tomorrow. Unless you've downloaded it already? In that case you could email it to me or upload on media fire or something.
