  1. You know, when you do a meelee or unarmed charged attack the character just goes WRRaasgh! and sometimes screams like an idiot even if you are sneaking. So, does anyone of you know the name of this particular sound fx on the GECK? I searched myself multiple times but didn't find it. I know that it's there so maybe i'm just blind or something. The thing is, obviously, i just want to remove it. OR, if that's not possible, just delete the script that makes the game play that specific sound. But i don't know the name of that either. So, any gentleman that knows one of these things? :geek: (in case i made some mistakes: i'm really sorry for my bad english, it's not my native language)
  2. It's working, problem solved. I didn't know i could change the GAME language via Steam, and i'm so stupid that i never even tried that. So basically all the discussion before was pretty useless, i could just change the language via Steam. Thanks man. And thanks for the pacience
  3. oh...OH! You mean change the language of THE GAME in english via Steam. I was changing the STEAM language to english via Steam, and hoping that then the game would be in english. I'm an idiot
  4. You don't really need to purchase an english version too, you can simply switch the language via steam. If you want to keep ITA and ENG version, well... I know that MO allows profiles, I never used it but I don't see why I couldn't put 2 different ESMs in 2 profiles. The method I use, instead, is making many copies of the NV folder, something like this: \Common\Fallout New Vegas \Common\Fallout New Vegas2 \Common\Fallout New Vegas3 etc. They all have different configurations, everytime I rename properly the one I want to run or work with the GECK. So what you are saying, is backup the italian one, uninstall it, switch steam language, and download it back in english? Or will steam allow me to download it twice? Or changing the Steam language does change the language of all the games i already installed?
  5. "Everything in the game has a form ID number and that is what is used by the .esm or .esp to find the object, not the name of the object." Yeah i know that. Probably i'm not making myself clear. What i wanted to know, is if a FalloutNV.esm replacement would work. You know, i would like to play it in italian, and work on it in english, that's what i mean. So, instead of being forced to do both in one or the other language or even to install 2 versions of the game on the same machine, just put in the data folder the english esm when i have to work on it, and put back in the italian one when i want to play. (By the way, back to the piracy thing, i now understand what you meant before, and you're obviously right. I hope you understand that i wasn't thinking of illegally downlaod the entire game, and frankly, in my ignorance, i didn't know that downloading a single little file of a game the i already own was considered piracy. P2P, you know.) Anyways, just that. Let's assume i now have another purchased copy of the game, in english. I install it, and i now have on the same machine, but on two different directories 2 NV, 1 in italian and one in english. Now, can it copy my own english esm file and uninstall the english version, and then just replace it when i need it in english? That's what i mean. The italian/english names of the objects are stored in the esm file, or not? (Sorry, i know this is boring)
  6. Uh. I really wouldn't classificate THAT as piracy. :ninja: I have a legally purchased italian version of the game, and i would download a single .esm file that i already have, just in another language. I know that piracy is not allowed here, and i'm not a pirate. Anyway, if using FNVEdit i have to modify all the names, i think the easiest way then, is just to reinstall the game in english. This really sucks Just for curiosity tho, "it wouldn't work" because of the "piracy" thing OR i can't work on my (legally purchased) copy of the game just replacing the .esm file with an english one? I ask this because i translated some mods, and frankly i thought the language of the game was determined by the .esm file :geek:
  7. Ok, sorry the ignorance but... "make the changes using FNVEdit" What changes and how? I always used FNVEdit only to create my own merged patches to resolve mod conflicts, i'm not really an expert of that tool  So basically, correct me if i'm wrong, i could just search the web for an english ESM of NV and replace mine (After a backup) with that, and work on that? Or the rest of the files in the Data folder will maintain my game in Italian?
  8. First of all, i hope i'm in the right section. Let's see if i can make this understandable; I'm Italian, and i play an Italian copy of the game. Very often, when i install a mod that is created with an english version of the game, a lot of names of things in the game turn into english. Now, the point is: I'm creating a mod using my Italian files in the GECK, but obviously i want everyone to use my mod without turning things in italian for them. How do i do it? ._. Is there a way to operate that doesen't give this problem, or have i to work on an english copy, if i want to make an english mod? God a chicken writes better than me in english. I hope this is understandable, even a little bit. Sorry for my bad english, and thanks in advance. (Don't hate me please)
