  1. How would I go about having a book starting a quest when read? I know how to place the book to where I want it, and how to change the text and etc. within the book.
  2. where can I find a good tutorial on learning this language? the wiki doesn't have much.
  3. so I'm trying to place some skeletons parts, but I don't want it to look hand placed, so I place it off the ground a little and click sim havok and nothing happens, it's even floating in game. Also the option to have a door already open isn't showing up for me.
  4. Yeh, that's upsetting. I'm also wanting to add weight to them, but currently I'm having trouble with that. doesn't seem possible. I also wanted to make arrows that did shock damage. I guess that could be made with a explosive effect?? Currently at work and don't have the CK in front of me.
  5. ^^ do you know of any good blender tutorials? I'm currently just wanting to make an arrow. Seems like it should be simple once I learn the basics.
  6. I'm currently trying to create a silver arrow that does extra damage to werewolves and vampires.. is that even possible?? Also how can I add weight to arrows? I see no option for it. guess it's not possible?

  8. Question. If I go to the world objects ------> then to container ----> then type in merchant as my filter. Would that show all the merchant chests in the game? If so I am more than happy to have to go through each one, one by one. Will be tedious but will get the job done.

  10. do you guys know of any tutorials on making a house? I don't know where to start. I just learned how to make items craftable and change their properties... so really new. out of curiosity how do you make a flat spot?

  12. Looks nice, I want to make a little cottage, but it looks so overwhelming. I play mainly stealthy like characters and use mainly bows. So all my mods revolve around that kinda. Take a loot at my Archery overhaul project. My first mod ever.... http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=8282 I really don't know where to start on my house....
  13. GOT IT. Thanks so much. One more question, well two. In his chest for value all the default vanilla items had negative values, the item I added didn't. Why was this? Lastly, how would you go about making it where nobody sells a certain thing? Say i want to make it to where no merchant sells arrows, or theres a much smaller chance that they do say like 5.
  14. okay beside the merchant container it says select refernce in reference window... I'm lost lol. I'm sorry man. I understand what to do up til that point though. BTW, I'm trying to add it to the Fletcher in Solitude. So I followed your steps, replaceing where I needed to go.
  15. that will make it respawn also? say when their invetory respawns? Where can I find that in the CK, I've been looking. New to modding trying to learn.
  16. Anyone have a tutorial on this? I currently have an item I created and I only want one exact merchant to carry it. How would I go about doing it? I don't want it to be found in loot.
  17. Alright thanks man. You may know this. What setting determines where an item goes according to it's crafting category? Currently my arrows i made craftable all go to the Misc folder. Not iron or anything. What bout objects that are not in the drop down that are in the vanilla game? One example is the rusty arrow, it's in game but not in the drop down. I'm off now to learn about nif scope and 3dsmax and everything. Having a feeling it's going to be a long day.
  18. Is it any differnt now? I'm working on an Archery Overhaul mod and currently I am making a silver arrow. (will deal extra damage to werewolves.) After I have the texture/mesh complete how do I get it into the construction kit. Also how would I make it craftable? When making a recipe currently it already has a drop down box with things that are avaliable to be crafted.
  19. There is no property for it in the CK. I'm trying to just make them weigh .001, where as 1000 arrows equals 100 pounds. or 100 equals 10 pounds for my Archery Overhaul mod.
