  1. I followed LeckerHamster's video series on creating a custom weapon, and apparently I did something wrong along the way. The mesh is fine, the weapon data is there, but the textures aren't, it's just comes up as black and shiny. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
  2. When I drag any basic activator or collision box from the object list to the render window, they aren't visible. It should be noted that xmarkers and heading markers can be seen, activators with meshes are visible as well, but things like trigger boxes are not (but they are selectable in the cell view). Markers are set to be visible, collision geometry is set to be visible as well, still nothing. Any fixes?
  3. As an attempt at trying to get some custom meshes into Skyrim (just to see if I could actually do it), I've mostly got it working. I followed this tutorial to the letter, but all I get is a translucent mesh in the preview window, and an invisible one in game. Any solutions?
  4. Probably. Like I said At the beginning I have no idea what I'm actually doing. My "progress" so far has been throwing things at the wall and seeing what sticks. So uhh...how do I do that exactly?

  7. Just an update. More and more dead ends... On the plus side, I'm beginning to figure out how NifSkope works. *sigh* This IS possible, Midas Magic is proof of that. I just need to figure out how they did it...

Now Skyrim crashes as save is being loaded. Is this option out or is there a solution?
  9. @dave1029: I'll give it a shot, but no guarantees. @Derok: Tried that one too, no it's not. I found it was too simple and it didn't have the colours I wanted.
  10. Used that one first actually, but I didn't use it for three reasons. 1. It's not the effect I'm looking for 2. It only lasts for a few seconds at a time 3. The flame extends back behind the player's head and it just looks weird

  13. Okay, so I'm new to the Skyrim modding community (hello!) and I felt there was a distinct lack of custom shouts. So I tried my hand at making one, and it works! The closest I've come to a helpful tutorial is this one by Entrophoria. Long story short: Anybody know any methods to create custom spell/shout projectiles?
