I found out its possible after a few not so easy steps..http://i.imgur.com/t4mjWAA.jpgI wanted to play a female character, and have their spouse also be female. In my first attempt the spouse had a male voice but i managed to fix that easily. This, in combination with using resurrection and follower commands, could mean that your spouse could follow you through-out the Wasteland of Fallout 4! Firstly you want to start a new game (Sorry!) and get to the character creation screen. If you want your spouse to be female aswell as you, pick a male character and visa-versa if you wish to have both male. Before you click accept, edit your spouses appearance as this will be the only time you can do so! I gave mine shorter and black hair. Then you will want to switch back to the male character and press accept. Awesome! Your spouse is female. Now to fix you up. Open up the commandbox and click on your character, then type sexchange and press enter. Now you should both have female voices and be a lovely lesbian couple! But you want to be pretty too, right??! Type Showlooksmenu 14 to bring up the character creation screen for your character. I was having trouble with the camera, and used tfc 1 (another command) to get my camera in the right place before the looks command. Edit to your hearts content and viola! Done. After some testing I'll edit this post to hopefully include how to get your custom spouse to travel with you through the Wasteland.
