  1. Thank you for the reply, but there was an easier method that I was looking for. When I posted this thread a year ago, somebody told me to just drag and drop either the new textures or meshes into the respective directory and rename the other to match the original. I know my explanation is a bit confusing since I don't remember what he said exactly (otherwise I wouldn't be making this thread). However, it did work for me back then and it did not require CS. I was hoping maybe somebody would know something among those lines.
  2. I made a similar topic about a year ago or so but I don't have access to that thread anymore. Basically, I would like to replace some of the vanilla weapon textures and meshes with ones from the Weapons of Morrowind mod by InsanitySorrow. For example, replacing the vanilla Iron Longsword with WoM's Iron Longsword. Not only are InsanitySorrow's weapon retextures high quality (as always), I find the Morrowind weapon meshes much, much better than Oblivion's vanilla weapons. If somebody could give me a step by step guide on how to do it, that would be great.
  3. Never thought I'd have to deal with memory crashes again, but here we are. So recently I decided to add an ENB to my game (beautiful preset by the way). Ever since then, my crashes have been a common occurrence and there seems to be nothing I can do. Fast traveling, entering exteriors/interios, even merely walking down the streets has a chance of crashing my game. I suspect it's because I removed ENBoost, but I had to remove it if I wanted to use the ENB. As far as I'm concerned, ENB and ENBoost doesn't work together. A darn shame. I've done all of the expected "fixes", such as using OSR (Heap enabled), using MoreHeap, OR's framerate manager and purge, changing the memory in the Oblivion.ini, etc. Nothing worked. My mod list, if it even matters:
  4. Alright, I know what to do now (I hope I'm doing it right). Apparently, if I type: player.setav acrobatics *my actual acrobatics level* the game also levels up my unarmored skills to the number specified. I have a question though. Does anybody know if the unarmored mod affects NPCs as well?
  5. So I've been using Galerion's Unarmored Acrobatics - Uncapped -.Here's the thing: until recently, I was under the presumption that as your acrobatics skill increases, so does your unarmored skill. What I didn't realize was that this was not the case when using Oblivion XP Update. You could increase your acrobatics until you are moon jumping and you'd still be a novice in unarmored. I'm kind of frustrated at myself for not knowing this. Still, I like the idea of being an unarmored monk. So does anybody have the cheat code to raise the unarmored skill?
  6. I hate to post two troubleshooting threads in the span of a day, but I have no choice here. So I was in the middle of playing Oblivion - fighting around 13 Amazon Warriors simultaneously (ugh). All of the sudden, all of my keys froze. The game was still running fine, but I could not move my character. Every key did not work. The only key that worked was the Esc key. After pressing the Esc key, I was unable to click anything in the options menu. Left with no choice, I used the task manager to close the game. I'm trying to start Oblivion again but immediately after I launched the game, Oblivion minimized to the taskbar. I cannot open it no matter how many times I click on it or wait. I can still hear the music and the game seems to still be running, but no matter how many times I click on the icon, it refuses to maximize again. When I hover my mouse over the Oblivion icon on my taskbar, it says "Oblivion (Not Responding). If I try opening the game through the Oblivion.exe instead of the obse_loaded.exe, the game immediately crashes. The reason why I said "for no apparent reason" in the title is because I honestly cannot deduce a reason for this. I did not touch my load order since playing. Any help? Could it be because of my GameCompanion thing? If so, would it be safe to just uninstall? EDIT: By the way, can anybody tell me why my game is so hard this time around? I don't remember the game being this hard despite using relatively similar mods in the past. I think a possible reason as to why Oblivion refuses to run anymore is because I was pressing buttons fanatically since I was trying to kill the 13 Amazon Warriors. I might've pressed something by accident. Seriously though, fighting 13 NPCs who's level far surpasses my own is impossible without God Mode. It's one thing for it to be a rare occurrence, but this seems to be happening everywhere I go. It's becoming near impossible to complete the Fighters Guild Quests and the Mages Guild Quests (mods) without TGM and I'm feeling extremely guilty for cheating. Load order:
  7. Nope. I did everything fairly up until stage 90. When I saw I couldn't do anything to fix the problem, I set the stage to 100 and raised my rank. This might be it. I'll test it and get back to you. However, in regards to the Fighters Guild portion, if I needed a sufficient skill proficiency to advance through the guild, the game would tell me in some way (usually through quest updates or in-game conversations). This time, I have no indication whatsoever. I thought the Guild Advancement stuff wouldn't take place until after I joined the University. Let me try it. EDIT: Well, what do you know? It worked. Still, it would have been nice if I had a heads up notice about this in-game. Thanks guys!
  8. I'm at the very end of the Join the Mages Guild questline. All I have to do is talk to Raminus Polus. The problem is that he greets me like a normal NPC instead of accepting me into the University. There is no topic to progress further either. I'm 100% stuck right now. Console commands helped me end the quest, but Raminus Polus refuses to tell me anything so everything is moot. There are no topics to progress. What happened? My load order:
  9. Nevermind, fixed it by installing the .7zip of Dark UI instead of the OMOD version.
  10. I used this mod to install DarNified UI since I was having problems installing DarNified UI on OBMM. Plus, I prefer all of my mods on Wrye Bash. Well, I decided to convert to DarkUI just because I prefer its looks, and as soon as I uninstalled the DarNified UI BAIN, it crashed my game when I loaded up a save. I already restored the fonts back to vanilla so that can't be it. Reinstalling the 00 Core files stops the crashes but installing DarkUI on top of it causes weird UI problems. I want to use DarkUI. IMO, it's leagues better aesthetically. How can I prevent Oblivion from crashing?
  11. Hey guys, I - like many other players - am reaching the 255 mod limit. To be fair though, I'm not reaching the mod limit because I'm greedy and want a perfect Skyrim (well not completely at least). I'm reaching the mod limit because of how many mods I have that require many additional patches. Some examples would be Expanded Towns and Cities with the necessary patches, Climate of Tamriel with all of the Weather Patches, Audio Overhaul 2 with all of its compatibility patches, etc. I'm quite familiar with merging mods since I've done it before. This thread is just to get a mindset of what mods are "safe" to merge. Of course, I'm not expecting mods to merge with 0 problems, but I want minimal problems. I heard that merging follower mods is a bad idea in general. True or false? I also heard that merging big mods like huge quest mods and overhaul mods like SkyRe are all-in-all a bad idea. True or false? Also, is it possible to merge multiple patches with its respective master files (such as all of the Expanded Towns and Cities patches with ETAC itself?) Which mods should I absolutely avoid merging together? How many mods should be merged at one time? I'd appreciate it if all of these questions could be answered. Thanks.
  12. I used AFT Make Follower on Serana a while back. A few hours after that, I uninstalled AFT because I was encountering some issues. In my haste, I forgot to remove AFT management for Serana. Now, I can't make her managed by AFT. Whenever I try to use the Make Follower spell on her, a message pops up saying "Resisted: Spell already in effect". Despite it saying this, she is not managed by AFT. There are no Tweak Options in the dialogue menu, and summoning AFT followers doesn't work on her either. At this point, I don't know how to fix this. What should I do?
  13. The resolution for him was his timescale. His was set to 1. Setting it back to default 20 worked for him. Unfortunately, it didn't work for me.
  14. First time I've ever had this problem with Amazing Follower Tweaks. I tried using the "Make Follower" spell on Inigo and Arissa and tried clicking "Manage with AFT" but they both gave me the error. What does this mean?
