LE Dragon Age 2 Armor Mod Req for Skyrim
DOGREDRUM43130 replied to Saiyk's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
This is a rather old request we actually know where to find the originally asked for Mage Champion armor. What we would like find is the Rouge Champion armor, but thanks for the info on the mage being in the steamworks shop. -
LE Dragon Age 2 Armor Mod Req for Skyrim
DOGREDRUM43130 replied to Saiyk's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
I would like the rouge too, but no one has done that one yet as far as I know. Wish I could just do it myself. -
I would like to be able to send everyone to one location like the dovahkiin hideout or some other great "house" mod that is or isn't out yet.
-
All the of the vanilla armors are using whatevername_1 so that's what I went with.
-
Glad you found your problem. I wasn't "actually naked' I just had every NPC in the game telling me I was.
-
@Gazzy Which question do you need elaborated on I can help with the NPC's thinking your naked, but I have yet to try to get them craft-able. @Wubble69 I haven't tried making an outfit yet, but I never liked the fact that my follower had a "default" armor. It meant that if I wanted them to wear something else it had to have better armor rating than that default armor. What I did you might be able to do too, put your armor in there inventory in the CK and select NONE in the default armor box.

Thanks kromey, number 2 was the answer I was hoping for, for that question. I know I can do that. As for number 1, I copied the "replaced" armor when making the new ones. There is a keywords section that I skipped I'll try adding those in, but if it's a body armor it's using the body slot Beth left us plenty blank slots in this game (17 unlike the 3 we got in Fallout NV) Edit: The keywords does seem to be the key to stopping the NPC's from saying you're naked.

Ok, so I have spent hours converting many of the armor replacement mods to a single esp that make all the armors stand alone. However, now when I wear the armors people keep telling me I am naked. So I have two questions. 1. What do I need to do to make the game recognize that I am wear clothes? (I would really like the answer to this one.) 2. How would I go about making the armors craft-able or at least up-gradable? (I can work around this but it would be nice.)

Trend that seems to be starting from the Steam workshop
DOGREDRUM43130 replied to riku98523's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I hate the very idea of steam. For now the workshop is free, but trust me sooner or later we'll have to pay for the mods found there. -
Finally showed up. Just had to uninstall and re-install everything (That was fun!)

What the hell it's 2:00 PM now and I have logged out and back into steam like 20 times since 12 PM and still no listing for the creation kit. Anyone got any suggestions?

LE Dragon Age 2 Armor Mod Req for Skyrim
DOGREDRUM43130 replied to Saiyk's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
I don't think it would I mean my character in Fallout has a suit that makes him look just like Snake from the Metal Gear series. There are already armors and weapons from Zelda for Skyrim. No, the real problem is the amount of work to create the armor to work with the "weight" system in Skyrim it is a real pain in the a@# to work with. We can wish and hope though. -

This is excellent! Lots of options to explore now. I definitely like the sound of option 5; I'm going to have to look into that! Thank you :) Agreed lots of options that all seem like they would work and option 5 does seem to be the closest to way Bethesda would go about it to make new bodies for armors that we have right now. Thanks Ghogiel. -

Not sure about the vert count but there are over 7000 points or 2500 triangles that need to be moved if the issue were a small number it would be no BIG deal but there are so many in a full body. There has to be a way to allow MAX to reorder the verts. It should reorder the same way in two files if I'm removing the same triangles from the same spots on both meshes. Just my way of thinking I guess. -

I love you guys but sometimes you seem to scrim read the posts. I lucked my way into a half working mesh and cannot seem to repeat it. (Body wise, armors seem to work without any problems) That said Ghogiel I have no idea how to vert snap, read; " but I just got 3DS a few days ago before which I was banging my head against the wall that is Blender." can you extrapolate a bit or guide me to the proper tutorial? So far I got the basics down. -

Workflow habits and tricks ARE nice IF you know them, but I just got 3DS a few days ago before which I was banging my head against the wall of that is Blender. (learned in days on MAX what took months on Blender) All I want is plugin that could scale up xxx_0 to the size of xxx_1 (seeing as I have a reference to the size I need), but I see what you mean about 'what everyone to do to meshes in max'. I don't even mind making the changes in both files. There is another perhaps easier way to look at it in that if the game didn't rely so heavily on the vertices order OR if we didn't have to go through this crap to begin with just so there could be a 'weight scale' for characters. I know this may be an unpopular view because modders love a challenge, but this is near impossible for newbies to just pick up. Perhaps, someone may find a process or set of steps to follow that would allow Max's reordering system to work "FOR" us rather than against us. -

there is no simpler way, have to get your hands dirty in a modelling program ie max or maya if you want to manipulate the vertexes in the meshes, which thereby necessitates following import/export guidelines as well as nifskope work Don't mind getting dirty, had little problem with doing everything twice even, but hand moving hundreds or thousands of vertices is a little... well ridiculous actually. Hopefully someone will come up with a way be it a Max plugin or whatever to do it efficiently soon. -

Has anyone found a simpler way of modifying body meshes? I need to remove parts of the Astrid body to prevent clipping through the armor. A problem that wouldn't exist if the missing area under the underwear wasn't so big. Anyway, I have one body that shows up in game. It looks like a bomb went off inside her, but I'm sure I could fix that with other posts in this topic. I'm just not thrilled with idea that to get the other weight I have to take that mesh and move all those vertices. -
Sagenth my last post are the non modded sneak "silent roll" conditions.

LE Dragon Age 2 Armor Mod Req for Skyrim
DOGREDRUM43130 replied to Saiyk's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
I too would love an armor like this. It doesn't look like it would be that hard after nifscope and the modeling programs get up to speed. Mostly Daedric boots and a Daedric right hand with simplified leather armor with a fur collar. the only parts that need to be made from scratch are the right should and elbow and the piece that come up off the chest. -
Not always. I haven't been able to figure out any conditions for it but I only continue to roll about half of the time when I really need to. I think the best you'll be able to do with this, unless you figure out how to use the variable holding the character's sneak / stand state to help out.. is to get a program that allows macros, or to get a keyboard that allows custom bindings. Weapon Sheathed = 1 roll Weapon out = multiple rolls

Use equipitem XXXX 1 Adding the 1 after prevents the NPC from taking things off, but it also seems to prevent them from putting anything else on without the console commands being used again.
-
Until the creation kit comes out the best you could have is to replace one of the armors with your favorite Mage Robe, but then you would lose the enchantment though you would be able to put your own on them.
-
That's version 0.7.0.0 which is the one I have, but thanks

Can anyone give me a link for the newest .XML for nifscope? All the links I have found are older ones I already have.
