  1. I installed the DSfx that's required to use any of the mods posted on the Nexus, and when I load up my game the gameplay picture or field of view is reduced to the top left corner of the screen and only takes up about 1/3 of the screen. this doesn't affect the HUD at all; the weapons and items slots in the bottom left and the souls count in the bottom right are still where they should be. When I go into one of the UI menus (items, equipped inventory, character sheet) I can see the game filling the full screen again in the background and then it shrinks back to this small space. Does anyone know what settings in the DSfx.ini file are causing this and how to fix it? Everything in the main game menu is fine as well, it's just the out of menus gameplay
  2. Hey guys. I've just started to tinker with the Creation Kit and I'm following the creation kit wiki's tutorial, but it doesn't answer one thing. I haven't gotten to any of the lighting tutorials, so it's probably a lighting thing, but the opposing walls in my interior cell appear to have different colour tones in the textures, despite having initially just duplicated wall objects to create them. is this a correct assumption?
  3. I only recently started tinkering with the Hearthfire DLC and as a Vampire assassin, the default appearance of the houses seem rather light-mooded. I was wondering if it was even possible to add different texture options for the walls (like painting the house exterior black) or even adding new house design options to the workbench (either select the default house style and run with that for the entire house project or select the custom style with matching wing designs). Interior redesigns would be interesting too but I wonder if they'd be too complex to add. One thing I think is missing is alternative forms of light fixtures. I find I have to go a ways out of my way to look for goats to harvest their horns and, again, I think something more like half melted candles or torch sconces would be more fitting for a dark character.
  4. Thanks for the info Ac3s. Probably beyond my capability though, I've never really tinkered with the creation kit and only just late this afternoon started peeking at tutorials for it. I do run other mods, but whether they've edited the same areas or not I have no idea, the author didn't list any compatibility issues but I'm aware that doesn't necessarily mean anything. Near as I can tell he's been inactive on the modding scene since May of this year; he hasn't had any activity on the Nexus since then at least. I did open the file in the Creation Kit just to see if I could find what you were talking about and got a whack of warnings about various triangles in a couple NavMeshes in this mod, some indicating that they have "opposite normals but are linked" or "Triangle X Edge 1 and Triangle Y Edge 2 should be linked but are not". I decided against messing with it. anyhoo thanks again
  5. Heyas; After installing a mod I downloaded and running BOSS, it kicked back the warning that "this file contains # deleted NavMesh record(s) that TES5Edit cannot repair automatically and it may cause problems with your game." the mod author appears to have been inactive and hasn't responded to the issue or fixed it at all, so I went through Arthmoor's tutorial for manually fixing the problem. I went through step by step and even now when I look at the mod in TES5Edit I don't see any deleted navmeshes, but BOSS still says the mod contains the same number of deleted navmeshes. I didn't touch anything else in it. Is this normal or did something get missed?
  6. I know there weren't multiple clans/bloodlines in Oblivion or Skyrim, but I distinctly recall there being I think three in Morrowind...
  7. Hey all. I've been a bit tardy in dabbling in the Hearthfire DLC and as I was building my first small house in The Pale, I was struck with a thought. My character is a vampire and I thought it might be cool to build a house that has a much darker appearance to it, both inside and out. Primarily I refer to interior and exterior wall, roof and flooring textures that have a more menacing look. Ideally, I thought this would be best as an additional design option at the drafting table. To go along with the theme, more cryptic looking light sources (blackened metal candelabras/chandeliers, half-melted candles etc) would also be a nice matching touch for the lighting decorations. Most of what I've found when I searched for Hearthfire mods simply appeared to be stuff like changing what types of rooms to set up in the separate wings of the house. I didn't see anything that offered different appearance types of the house like this. Thanks :)
  8. thanks for the info Jeir. I did in the end decide to install CBBE Curvy. what had me confused initially was that the T/BBP features also required me to install the UNPB redux anyway. after some fiddling around I think I have it working though.
  9. I currently have downloaded UNP Blessed Body - UNPB Redux, but I've also seen screenshots for Dimonized UNP, CBBE and SeveNBase, and I was wondering if anyone has any constructive comparisons/opinions as to which one would be the best? I'm looking for something that looks relatively natural (not ridiculously over-sized chests). Any compatible skin/face texture recommendations for each? UNPB included...something for at texture but I think it must just have been the body below the neck because the face presets and everything still looked like vanilla. There's several custom armours for each one, so I don't think I'll have much trouble finding some for the type I ultimately choose. thanks
  10. I just did a full reinstall of Fallout: New Vegas and made sure to reinstall my mods using the Nexus Mod Manager (I had done it manually before). This time around I was smart enough to pick up the New Vegas Script Extender (latest version) and MCM. But when I get into a game (whether it's loading my save or beginning anew), the Mod Configuration Menu does not show up above "Continue" when I hit Esc to pause the game. To be clear, I AM running the game via the nvse_loader.exe. any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

I'm just now having this problem today. I was able to log in just fine last night while I was getting my laptop set up with the same skyrim mods I have on my desktop, but today it's just suddenly deciding to crap out on me. Half the time I get a Timed out error and the other half of the time the page simply reloads without logging me in.
