  1. My recommendation would be to go to www.nmseeds.club and learning about "seeds". I may be wrong, but I think you'll find that what you're looking for is implausible, but learning how to alter the seeds in your save file is a close approximation. The save game editor offered on the site can no longer change the starship, or freighter since the release of Pathfinder, but you can change these manually by opening the save file in a text editing program, then using the save game editor to recompile the save file. I kept this brief in case you're not interested, but if you're willing to go this route (in fact, altering the save files can open up MANY benefits), let me know and I'll help you out.
  2. Could someone with experience altering the sounds of this game create a mod that removes all exterior sounds while in space (freighters warping in, laser fire that DOESN'T impact your starship, etc)? I feel like it would be a simple matter of removing the associated files, or replacing them with silent files, but before I spend time acquiring the necessary programs and learning what to do, I thought I would ask members already in possession of such software and skills. Since this is all I really want to change about the game, I don't feel like learning this would be a good use of my time (97% learning, 3% work), but to someone who already knows, this would be a chance to put your hard-earned skills to use. I can't be the only one that thinks this little addition of realism is desperately needed, right? Thanks!
  3. In order to own multiple starships, you have to buy them from NPCs that land in YOUR freighter. Anything else will simply replace your current starship with the new one. It's been awhile since you asked though, so I expect that you've already figured this out.
  4. The problem that I was having was that I didn't create a folder called "MODS" inside of PCBANKS (\No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\PCBANKS\MODS). I was just putting the mods into PCBANKS. I'm sure that you've done this though.
  5. I have a similar problem. I tried to change some Marauders, but all it changed was their faces. Their bodies and voices remained male. This was even after I loaded a save from before my encounter with them. I even went through and shut down an Oblivion gate first, and THEN came to their location. Still men with women's heads. :(
