  1. Why don't you just use NMS Manager? You can easily activate/deactivate mods, and all mods are in in a seperate folder.
  2. Yeah, i expected it to work something like that. I think it's a funny idea though to move the whole universe around you when you want to get somewhere.
  3. My experience with other games like Skyrim and such is that usually the grass doesn't really matter very much performance-wise, but i guess it would be worth a try. Personally i am very happy when i land on a planet the doesen't consist of a generic, slightly painted homogenic surface. I would very much like to have even much more vegetation, but i am also already on the limit of what my computer can handle, so...
  4. Auto-recharge everything maybe, with or without key pressed, as long as you have the resources needed?
  5. That's kinda clever. Why bother exploring the universe, when you can make every planet in the universe come to you? :D Even "the center of the universe" should be the starting planet if you restart often enough.
  6. A real AI for the animals would be cool. Also i think for behaviour like you mentioned it would be necessairy to increase the overall animal spawning rate. Not sure if the game could handle all this additional processing very well though, it's really barely running on my gaming laptop as it is. But it certainly could add a lot the experience. PS: If someone would find a way to fiddle around with the animal generator so it produces dinosaur-like animals like in the E3 2014 trailer would be great too.
  7. Maybe you feel the same: For a game that has "skys" in the title, the sky on planets are particularly ugly. Flat colors, flat clouds, the sun is just some blurry white blob. Even minecraft has a better sky, with animated volumetric clouds. The stars are just plain white pixels, no atmospheric twinkle, no color variation, no halo, nothing. The only thing that seems kind of ok to me are other near planets or moons in the sky. Any mod that could solve any (preferably all) of these issues would be greatly appreciated.
  8. a complete overhaul of the map would be cool, and so much needed. My suggestions: Standard camera position so far away that you can see all reachable stars around your current position. Maybe a transparent sphere around your position to indicate your maximum hyperjump distanceWrite the name next to those stars, so you don't have to move the cursor to read their name, or, since is supposed to be a exploration game, don't show names of unvisited systems at allClearly color coded stars and paths: Red for Atlas, Blue for visited systems, Yellow for favourites that you can mark as interesting Really, i know we all know this, but i have to say it again: the starmap is the worst kind of s#*! map i have ever seen. I would be really just kinda ok when you wanted to jump to a random system next to you and don't care where you are going. It would have been sooo easy for the developers to fix it. Except they didn't bother.
