  1. Ive got a problem where recipes are showing up as junk.Where is the file where recipes are located at or what would i need to edit/ what steps would i need to take to make the recipes not appear in the junk section in inventory? Ive got a ton of mods installed and they're all loose in the cooked pc folder and not in particular folders so theres no way i could track down whats causing it.Other than this one bug no issues so far, Its not a huge deal but would be nice if i could get them out of the junk section. Any help is appreciated.
  2. I understand the whole point of anarchy's children is that its that post apocalyptic look. But for some more versatility i was wondering if somebody could add a skin i guess you call it with the vests that adds them wearing a t shirt or some different shirts, up under the vest so you have more options than just bare chested. Not to replace it, but as an extra option along side it. This is the vest im talking about below in the pic. Think theres another one also. Thanks very much.
  3. I think the elevation adjustments are in there already i know i seen on a video you can move them up and down just cant rotate them vertically yet,
  4. Not sure how hard this would be but it would be an amazing addition to the crafting for the buildings and things. Right now theres floating fences and roofs you cant really use on the existing houses because theyre at a slant and you cant do a simple thing like rotating the pieces vertically. so theyll lay down. Im sure the engine already supports this so i think itd be just a matter of keying it in and adding a bind to the game somehow. I dont really know anything about this but it would be really appreciated by a lot of people im sure. Also i was thinking itd be great if there was a way to make a top down management mod for the settlements. I know that would make it a lot easier to manage. Although im not sure how much work that would be. Like i say i know nothing about modding these are just some ideas i think that would make the game more enjoyable in my opinion.
  5. I dont know how complicated or how simple it would be to do this as i have no history whatsoever in modding other than years of using them. Id be willing to learn and or help with this request if needed but the idea is this. To create a mod that would allow your companions to have a horse or other mount of their own. I think this would be possible if you could find the part of the script on the player character where it tells the pc to mount the horse etc and just paste that into the AI for the NPC companion. Maybe code it in where in the conversation with them when it says you need them to do something, when you pointed the cursor at a horse or other mount if somebody added more later that it would mount that horse and they could follow you. It just feels kindve wrong running around and the NPC companions are on foot and they get left behind and the AI makes them run way out of the way etc and you have to wait on them to catch up. At least this way they would be able to keep up a bit better and if a modder could pull this off it would add to the immersion value of the game ten fold i believe. Anyways this isnt a big deal and im sure all the modders here get swamped with requests. But just so you understand im not lazy and would be happy to make this myself i just have no history with making mods and wouldnt know where to begin. Anyway if anybody would consider this id be greatful to you and think a lot of people would enjoy this mod. However if not, No big deal.
  6. yeah i'm thinking the same thing that it may be soundcard related but i have the most up to date drivers i can get unless i could find some third party ones somewhere.
  7. Im updated to 1.6 patch, no errors upon installation. I took fall out mod manager BSA unpacker and i unpacked the soundfiles and went through them all and ive found one or two sound files that sound like it. data\sound\fx\amb\amb_light_fluorescent_01_lp.wav Click below to see what it sounds like I tryed making a directory and putting a silent wave file with that name to overwrite it but its still doing it so its not that sound. I found one other sound file that was i think related to liberty prime that sounds similar to it but with it being specifically linked to that npc i dont think its the one im hearing. Maybe its a soundcard error? But im updated to latest drivers that im aware of for my sound card. sound blaster x-fi extreme audio card driver 5.10.0.203 driver date 10/17/2008 Driver provider CREATIVE They havent released any updated drivers for this card since 2008 but thats the newest one i could find, i used creative auto update utility to be sure and tried looking around on my own.
  8. Its not the ripper it happens inside my home in the game as well as all over the place in megaton, in underworld, outside at times, theres no enclave that im aware of in megaton
  9. I got a ripper and tried it to be sure. ITs definitely not that, i had somebody else suggest that a long time ago and i appreciate the reply but its definitely not that, if the ripper sound drives u nuts imagine that about 20 times louder and more intense, its like a buzzer on a gameshow is the best way i know how to describe it, it lasts maybe 2 seconds then itll repeat unless another sound plays over it. Like a gun blast etc. I really dont know what it is or anyway maybe i can get the game to log what sounds are being played so i can figure it out. Kindve at a loss, it gets so bad at times i have to litterally turn the game off and quit because itll give me a headache if i keep listening to the thing. Thanks for the reply maybe somebody can figure this out.
  10. Im experiencing a strange noise at random times in the game , its a random buzzer sounding noise that plays. The only thing i can figure out is its some kindve error noise but it happens totally randomly so i am having trouble pinpointing whats causing it On the theory that its a error noise, i figure its similar to the red exclamation marks found when a texture or mesh or whatever is missing show up this is a sound similar to that, it wouldnt be so bad but its so damned loud and its very annoying, i found two commands which i think may be linked to this but im not sure what the correct syntax to type in to link it to a silent file would be. Or to simply turn it off completely if possible would be great. The list of commands im basing my info off of come from this website. http://fose.silverlock.org/Fallout3Commands.html Here are the console commands im talking about. 11FC SetNoActivationSound Set the sound to play when activation fails (Sound) 11FD ClearNoActivationSound Clear the activation failure sound What im wondering is is how do i find out what the current sound file is set to so i can go find that wav and play it to see if its the sound in question so i can try to replace it if it is with a silent wav file, or if this is a wild goose chase. I really love this game and i cant enjoy it to its fullest because this is driving me up the damn wall lol. So please if anybody has any clue or experience with this please reply. :wallbash: :thanks:
