  1. I was wondering if it is possible to alter what hour the game considers the sun to be up or down. The relevant effect being when the sunlight effect on vampire players begins and ends. Along with that I was wondering if it would be possible to give vampires reprieve from the sun's harm during rain and snow storms, and when completely shaded.
  2. I was just thinking that with the long history of there being such a strong modding community tied to Bethesda's games, wouldn't it make sense for them to release their future games with a comprehensive mod development kit? Why did Skyrim have to wait so long for that? I guess they are worried they'd have too much free competition to their DLC's but seriously they should release toolsets that allow modders full control over textures, meshes, animations, and skripts. Or maybe I don't know what I'm talking about.
  3. Care to make it for me? lol I'll even pay you in Septims.
  4. I'm wondering if there is a way some one could alter the vanilla Dragonpriest Masks so that they are registered in the game as being either dragonscale or dragonplate armor and likewise be upgraded with dragon bone smithing. I really like the dragonpriest masks, especially with the retexture mod I have for them, but I can't justify wearing them since I wear all dragon armor and they would cost me a significant loss of armor rating. I'm not looking for another mod that allows me to craft them or disenchant them, I was curious if there was a way the vanilla ones could be altered to all be made of dragon parts so they would work with the armor perks that give a 25% bonus for wearing a matched set.
  5. I'm actually totally fine with the shape of their bodies, I just think they would look awesome with a shaggy truly furry look. Right now they just look smooth. It looks like a smooth skinned creature with a fur patterned body paint. Edit: I do want to say though that I am impressed at the undertaking of the mod wip you linked and appreciate the work being done to enhance our experience!
  6. I haven't found anything like this in the searches I've done. I would love some one to retexture the Khajit to make them much furrier.
  7. But the thing is that I didn't install any new mods, my game just suddenly decided to act this way. The mods worked perfectly fine before. For the record, I have like 5 mods, they add like capes, more blood etc, it's nothing game-breaking. Had them for at least a month. 1.6 does this, it happens to many ATi users atleast. Not sure if nVidia people have it also. Let's hope this is fixed soon. I have an nvidia gtx 550 ti. Prior to 1.6 I did not experience a single ctd in over 140 hours of game play with bout 15 active mods. Now, without having installed any new mods, I get random ctds everywhere. Wilderness, caves, cities, and when trying to go from one zone to another, e.g. fast travelling or using an entry door.
  8. Does anyone know if there is a way I can cure my lycanthropy with a console command? The quest Purity to cleanse my soul the normal way is completely bugged.
  9. Kind of self explanatory. I would love the ability to keep a sword in one hand, my shield in the other hand, and still be able to cast a spell. The way I see this working is clicking either of the mouse buttons individually uses the corresponding hand (e.g. slash or block) but if you click both mouse buttons together it casts the equipped spell. Not sure if this is possible, just something I'd love to see. Thanks
  10. Dude they just went to Hell and back, kind of literally, and now you want them to jump to your beck and call immediately? Give a brotha a coffee and some time to rub his eyes
  11. I'm level 44 and just ran into this problem for the first time. I killed a normal dragon near Markarth and didn't absorb his soul. Maybe it's built into the game that after a certain level you only absorb the souls of the more powerful dragon types? If so that would be very annoying.
  12. Unfortunately although I have the desire, having a wife, a one year old, and two jobs keep me from having the time to try my hand at modding, which brings me here. I would love to see a player created zone that feels scary and haunted. Real haunted mansion type stuff. All lights go out randomly, objects move, distant screams, a ghost materializes right behind you and starts attacking. That sort of thing. It wouldn't have to be a house, but that classic haunted mansion theme is what I'm talking about. If you've played Left 4 Dead and you remember how the hairs stood up on the back of your neck the first time you encountered the crying girl/witch, then you know what I'm thinking of. There are already plenty of horror movie type enemies in the game but I feel like they are all used in such a bland way. I think with some creativity a talented modder could create something scary and fun here.
  13. Thanks! I kept searching for "Magic sneak attack" or "Magic sneak bonus". Don't know why I didn't think to use the word Spell.
  14. I was about to post a request for this exact same thing but decided to search if anyone else was working on it first and here I see your unanswered post. Consider this an endorsement for your idea. I wish I had the time and knowledge to do it myself because magic sneak attack bonuses would work perfectly for my character as well.
  15. So in short, with this game engine it's impossible to have shadows in ambient light environments?
  16. The problem is that there still are no interior shadows unless you are standing right next to a powerful light source like a fire. Go upstairs in Breezehome and you'll see what I mean. Your character has no shadow on the ground
  17. I saw a mod that adds additional levels to almost all of the perks, don't remember what it was called but there's a good chance this perk was increased as well.
  18. I'd love to see shadows in large indoor environments without having to cut my framerate in half using ENB
  19. I must be the worst archer in the world because I have a terrible time trying to hit them in the air unless they start to hover.
  20. Can anyone confirm whether paralyze poison ever works on dragons? The few times I've tried it was resisted.
  21. You know I actually have a bunch of 7 second paralysis poison I made but for some reason never tried it on a dragon because I just assumed they would be immune.
  22. I don't know why I didn't mention it but i do have a decent archery, but only invested enough points in it to zoom in. I also only have 1 or 2 in 1 handed because i read 1 handed bonuses don't apply to daggers for some reason. my light armor is at about ~45 I think? I have a few perks in that tree too. I managed to take down a frost dragon last night but only because it landed in an imperial fort. I have also gotten the invitation to the dark brotherhood but haven't gone to their sanctuary yet
  23. I have definitely geared my character towards being the cowardly sneaky stab you in the back and run away type. Because of this I am having a lot of difficulty fighting dragons now. I think I have only killed maybe 4 so far. The two I am running into now are a frost dragon near Windhelm and a blood dragon near a swamp. They both destroy me before I can get even 1/4 of their health down. Anyone with a build similar to mine (light armor, low health, 1handed swords and daggers) have any useful insight for me?
