  1. Whenever I use the decontamination arch that comes with the wasteland workshop DLC my game crashes to desktop. I can't pinpoint exactly when it started but it was recent. Here is my load order: I know I have a lot of workshop mods so I think it might have something to do with it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
  2. In response to post #37122340. #37125520, #37125625, #37128230, #37129135, #37130600, #37131280, #37133850, #37133965, #37134270 are all replies on the same post. DEF_UI Does have a patch. It's an optional on it's page.
  3. In response to post #37140225. I don't use f4se yet, but I believe I read that the current Fallout version isn't compatible with it just yet. They were talking about it in the post section of SKE.
  4. In response to post #37141235. some mods do that. I think it's an ini bug that some things cause. Maybe during all this patch mess some values got changed. Spring Cleaning talked about it some so you may start there for hints.
  5. In response to post #37142310. mine only has 3 things in it. I think that's because I've only downloaded 3 things directly through the game. I don't remember that folder ever being used before, so my guess is it's only for mods from Bethesda.net. I googled and nobody mentions any installation of mods involving that folder. check you 'data' folder. If you still have plugins, ba2s, and loose folders from mods, that means they are still there but failing to activate. If they are still there and not activating check your plugins.txt file and see if the mods have * next to them.

I hope you don't think I was snapping at you Augusta. If people have the folder but not txt file... That's weird you need that. Make sure your programs have permission to write into the folder. If you can't find the folder you may not have hidden folders visible in windows. The exact path is: C:/users/(the user account you're on now)/Appdata/local/Fallout4 If you don't have hidden folders visible you will go into your user name and not see appdata. google how to unhide it on your OS Like I said I've only had to do this a couple times and maybe setting it to read-only AFTER you make changes helps. Make sure it ISN'T read-only while your making changes. But NMM CAN still modify the plugin files.
  7. In response to post #37136210. #37136415, #37137680, #37137905 are all replies on the same post. I know it's not universal. Almost nothing in modding is. I was simply stating that NMM isn't unusable. Whether they have to do this often or not, I just meant they can still use NMM and not touch the in game mod menu.
  8. In response to post #37137800. Is the game warning you of missing plugins? if so here's the gist of a post I mad above 1)Go into appdata where plugins.txt is 2)delete plugins.txt, 3)then go into NMM and uncheck then recheck any single esp or to be cautious use the uncheck/check all buttons. It should have remade the plugins.txt file in the folder. 4)open plugins.txt to make sure the right .esps have *s next to them. 5)Then I set it to read-only just to be safe and everything loaded.
  9. In response to post #37135805. If your able to get into the game at all it's probably related to a specific mod or specific vanilla bug. Most people having trouble are crashing before there game even loads or are having issues with parts of mods being gone. I would google about crashes specific to the area you're having them in (Boston, settlements, etc) or the situation you're in when they happen (entering/exiting building, using VATS, looking at certain events, etc). Then I would ask around about certain mods crashing with the new updates or just because they're buggy. It could very well be the new beta and the way mods are handled now (I'm no expert) but it doesn't sound consistent with problems others are having.
  10. I see a lot of people having problems. I'm not having any. I'm on the latest beta of Fallout, I've got the latest version of NMM. everything still works for me. I don't know what to tell you about textures or specific instances of npc problems but here's what you might need to do if you're getting the missing plugins warning: 1)Go into appdata where plugins.txt is 2)delete plugins.txt, 3)then go into NMM and uncheck then recheck any single esp or to be cautious use the uncheck/check all buttons. It should have remade the plugins.txt file in the folder. 4)open plugins.txt to make sure the right .esps have *s next to them. 5)Then I set it to read-only just to be safe and everything loaded. I didn't even have to use the games new mod menu. You may have to repeat this if you change your plugins or order. I can even control plugins I downloaded through the game. I hope this helps some of you out.
  11. In response to post #37136210. #37136415 is also a reply to the same post. I've never had to do this. I can even arrange and activate/deactivate the plugins I got from Bethesda.net from NMM after I use the game to download them first. If your game is giving you the warning that your plugins are missing: 1)Go into appdata where plugins.txt is 2)delete plugins.txt, 3)then go into NMM and uncheck then recheck any single esp or to be cautious use the uncheck/check all buttons. It should have remade the plugins.txt file in the folder. 4)open plugins.txt to make sure the right .esps have *s next to them. 5)Then I set it to read-only just to be safe and everything loaded. You may have to do this every time you change mods but that's less of a pain then using the mod menu every time you launch. You might not have to do it every time either but I've had to do it a couple times.
  12. In response to post #37085455. #37086305, #37089565, #37094070 are all replies on the same post. No, they haven't been disabled for a while (maybe even since the beta started). The method of activating the plugins changed to one mentioned in the post above and it just took a second for people to pick up on the new way. It took time for word to spread among users and then for NMM to update to handle it. We've been good to go for a while. Just make sure you have the newest NMM from the link above or from the update button and it does plugins fine now. And make sure interface mods are properly updated or you will crash.
  13. In response to post #36954060. #36954790 is also a reply to the same post. Thanks for the reply but it turns out it was DEF_UI. There is a patch for it. It just doesn't show up as a new version in NMM.
  14. My game gets to loading screen but crashes when I have the beta installed. It did this before NMM updated when I tried to do the manual setup from the main menu as well. I'm going to go through my mods a few at at time, but does anybody know of any specific mods that conflict with 1.5 on their own?
  15. I'm not sure what mod is doing this as I have tried to disable a wide variety to no avail (Zephyr's overhaul, DEF, etc). But when I try to enter the power armor on the roof of the museum at the beginning of the game, my character starts the animation for the power core, but the suddenly stops and is inside the suit. However the HUD does not change, my head is invisible and the pieces of armor are floating above me. Has anyone else run into this problem or thinks they might know a cause. Thank you. Here is my current load order.
