Hi all, Just wanted to contribute to this thread since the info here helped me resolve my absorbing dragon souls problem. The problem was caused by the "Dragon Stalking Fix" mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/54274/ The mod contains modified dragon scripts and, like people have mentioned in this thread, those problematic scripts take priority over the (correctly-working) ones in the unofficial patch.
