  1. The helm of Yngol obtained in Yngol barrow is a type of ancient enchanted Nord armor that looks unique and has decent stats. I was just wondering if there could be other unique cool nord looking armor pieces either related to this helm or not related. There are 2 simple methods to adding a mod to incorporate this idea into the game, one involving Yngol and the other not at all. Idea 1: Involving Yngol, when you pick up his helmet and the bones shatter to the ground, a note also drops to the ground. Upon picking it up and reading this a quest will start called, "The Warrior Time Forgot". The note would be a map showing the location of the next armor piece, such as the treasure map mini quests show. Once you've reached the next location and opened the chest, you'd get another piece of the armor and another map piece leading you to the next location, and let the process repeat until you have all the armor pieces. Then maybe at the end when you equipped all of the armor pieces Yngol's ghost appeared and you had to fight him. Idea 2: Each Jarl would have his own specific quest after completing a certain amount of quests for them (maybe 3 or 5). It would be about clearing out trouble in a certain cave or dungeon where strange occurrences have been happening. In the last area of the cave or dungeon would be a tough monster and a piece of legendary armor. There are 9 Jarls, so the armor pieces could be shield, helmet, armor, gauntlets, boots, necklace, ring, sword, 2h sword (in no particular order). Any other idea would be greatly appreciated!
  2. First it was in Oblivion with the emperor robes, which could only be obtained via console commands or by an elaborate (glitched) method for consoles. In Skyrim you fixed this, giving the player THREE sets of emperor robes, nice! But then the Psiijic order, one of the coolest (in my opinion) orders in all of Tamriel make an appearance to directly engage and aid the Dovahkiin, their robes are shunned from the game and not obtainable unless console commands are used. WHICH by the way are under the "all robes" container in the coc qasmoke room, perfectly named and look amazing. So if they actually made Psiijic robes for the player to wear and were appropriately named, why not add them into the game? So frustrating Bethesda, so frustrating. The only plausible reason for doing this is if one of the DLC's involve the Psiijic order, and that's when you get their robes. If this isn't the case then you have done is again Bethesda, congratulations. Until they come out with this possible DLC, i'm going to use console commands on every one of my characters to obtain these robes and won't consider it cheating (plus the robes grant no bonuses and give no defense bonuses at all, so it's more of a handicap to use them anyway). What do you guys think?
  3. No you can't lol, because I think you're suppose to assume you need a lot of blood and not just a little since you can only collect blood from them when they're dead. If it wasn't a lot of blood there would probably be an option to extract blood while crouching behind them as a secondary option to pickpocketting, just as extracting blood is a secondary option to searching their bodies.
  4. Matth85, You are completely off with your bizarre and outlandishly absurd statement, "I am not sure how loose you guys thin the lore is. Because it isn't. Snow Elves can't come back and the Dwemer can't come back. Returning either would be as lore frienly as getting a spaceship into Skyrim." Just as xhofer said, while Skyrim was in the developmental stages and people wanted to add dragons, other people such as yourself were saying how it wasn't "lore friendly" and that they were extinct/never coming back. And yet, a dragon (Alduin) was pushed 200 years in the future with an elder scroll, and is going around ancient dragon burial sites resurrecting dragons to take over the world once again? If you gave that concept when Oblivion was the newest installment in TES, you'd be laughed at and ridiculed by the player community! Yet, when he proposes maybe some snow elves and Dwemer weren't around during the disappearance of the Dwemer and the snow elve's evolution into the Falmer, even when a Dwemer still was around who survived via the SAME REASON he is saying, you say it's not "lore friendly"? Don't be absurd. This is completely lure friendly for many reasons. 100% support this mod and wish you luck in trying to get it made! I have faith someone eventually will get this done.
  5. Great idea, 100% support! I'm just confused about if this mod is available yet or not because whenever I go on the official forums there is an option to download and I'm not sure if that's the mod or something else O.o.
  6. Hi, I liked oblivion armor a lot and the mods that went with it, because they were bulky and made me feel as if the armor was made for a true power house warrior. The armor in Skyrim seems to be more form fitting and a little too perfect, which doesn't seem as epic or realistic to me, From an oblivion mod frostmourne and lich king's armor is a perfect example of what i'm talking about. Massively large armor sets would be an amazing addition to this game in my opinion. I'll try to supply pictures of some armors to give you an idea of what i'm talking about if you don't already have a basic understanding of what I'm referring to. Let me know what you all think!
  7. I support the idea but like someone else said in these posts it would be much easier for people to go along with (especially lore friendly players) if you made it dwemer like. Maybe you could craft them at a forge with dwemer parts and ingots? That actually sounds like a really good idea! and they could use bullets crafted by certain ingots, but another cool idea would be if they were run by magicka, kind of like staffs. Just a thought :). Great idea though, 100% support!
  8. Thanks for sharing your ideas, and I like them all! I would also like all of those options to be in the mod, but that would take A LOT of time and experience to produce such a colossus of a mod. And the quest idea sounds awesome also! I was thinking it would probably have to be after Alduin's defeat, maybe the greybeards would have more training for you to complete, in order to truly unlock the powers of the dragonborn. Also, I was thinking that just like beast form, dragon form would have a limited amount of time each time it's used until you return back to human form. And instead of picking with type of dragon to transform into, it would either randomly choose one or be an elder dragon. And for how long the cool down time would be, I was thinking it would either cost a dragon soul each time to use the form, or would be 2 in game days. Thanks again for your ideas!
  9. Hi. I have a request that might seem outlandish and a large project to undertake at first, but when you get down to it wouldn't be that difficult with the proper experienced modders working on it. Just like beast form transforms the player into a werewolf, why not have a "dragon form" that turns the player into a dragon? It wouldn't even need to fly, just walk around, spit fire maybe, and do the lunge attack dragons already have. It would fit right into the story too, since the Dragonborn has the blood and soul of a dragon. With these things in mind, what's so far fetched about him being able to tap into that inner being for a limited amount of time, unleashing his true power? This would also make the player feel more unique and different then any other npc, since all of them it seems are capable of defeating dragons, and people can learn to shout such as the greybeards. Having the ability to learn shouts faster then most people doesn't make me feel any stronger or more unique than anyone else. Please share your feelings about this idea, and thanks for reading!
