  1. That's odd. You seem to be doing everything right. I'd check this out for you but not near my computer and won't be for a while. You can import them directly into your mod, though. Load up your esp without Tamira's new plants esp, duplicate a plant object, open up its Edit window and edit it so that it uses the new plant model. Make sure the nif/texture paths are correct. Repeat until you have all of the ones you need imported and put them in your worldspace. I did take a look at the plants in nifskope, they look right as rain!
  2. Hi there, I converted a spinning wheel from Stroti's mod resources, with his permission, for use in a mod. It looks something like the pic you posted. I also have it furniture markered to use the tanning rack animation. Unfortunately, can't show you this wonderful object until I can access my CK. This may take a few days. If you think that sounds satisfactory, will send you the model asap. You'll probably have to obtain Stroti's permission for use, and of course if someone comes along who's willing to whip up a brand new mesh, that's great too. : )
  3. Hi, the only reason I can think of about the new plants not showing up is that you haven't actually saved them in your esp. Are the new plants' nifs and textures in their correct respective folders? Assuming you're loading Tamira's esp along with your esp, are you duplicating her plants and then placing those duplicated plants in your worldspace? Could be something else but that's what comes to mind straightaway. : )
  4. You're perfectly right. Which is what I meant by not being near my pc to check out. You can scale objects and yes, you can select multiple objects and scale them together. I'm just not sure how well it works for a shack. Edit: lol, well OP now has three methods to choose from so that's good!
  5. Some of these things have been on my mind as well. - the overturned carriages and dead horses are the outcome of bandit attacks, I think? The only burned down homes I have seen are in Helgen. From what I gather, Helgen is a particularly problematic area to modify. - interesting idea about the homeless couple, not sure how feasible. At a guess, they are like the other wanderers you run into, i.e, not permanently 'in' the Skyrim worldspace but generated randomly, depending on a set of variables. - always wondered about Mercer's nice, big empty house too. - the Vigilants were decimated in the DG vampire attack and the survivors have scattered. Not sure if there's enough of them to even have an Order anymore. - I've always used Frost if I acquired him, so not sure where he gets 'stabled' under other circumstances. At Riften stables? - this is well worth taking up. Seeing poor Fastred roaming homelessly around Riften with Bassianus, I kicked myself for choosing him. He comes off as so feckless. 'Let's elope, m'luv -- and live as penniless vagrants!' The only thing is, since these all deal with vanilla NPCs and locations, what would be the long term impact on the game? If there's any. Edit: would love to give a couple of these a shot and see how miserably I fail at scripting but too many irons in the fire. :D Hope someone can fulfill your request.
  6. Do you mean I should hold down Ctrl while holding down S to scale? Yes. I'm not near my pc right now so can't check it out but it should scale every piece of the shack in a uniform way. You'll have to put the shack together first, of course, and make sure you don't miss any piece while selecting them.
  7. Hullo, not 100% certain on this as I've only once put together a shack. But iirc, you can select multiple objects as you normally would i.e, hold down CTRL key and select the entire shack in the render window, then do the scaling up or down. The pieces scaled uniformly when I did this. Hopefully, it will work for you.
  8. I don't know about dummies, rotating or otherwise, but you can read this thread where someone wanted to know about untakeable items too. :)
  9. Oops, forgot that part. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/740 Just read the section on unpacking textures, the process is the same for nifs. Nif files are in Skyrim - Meshes.bsa. You'll have to save your edited goblet nif and put it somewhere like data>meshes>clutter. Then start CK, duplicate a goblet and edit it so that it points to the new nif.
  10. ^What he said. You'll have to change a few properties in Nifskope to make the object unmovable. It's pretty simple. Open the goblet nif with Nifskope. Click BSFadeNode to expand it. Then click bhkCollisionObject to expand that. Click on bhkRigidBodyT and look at the Block Details window below. Change the values in the fields Mass, Max Linear Velocity and Max Angular Velocity to '0.0000'. Should look like this: http://i.imgur.com/uSFhn.jpg Then if you want the object not to be picked up, follow the previous procedure.
  11. Have you tried duplicating the item and not giving it a name? That usually prevents it from being pick-uppable.
  12. Hi, hope someone can clear up this point. I put a custom circular-shaped bench over the 'CommonTableOneBench' furniture nif, changed entry point to 'Front', imported the mesh into CK using the '-TwoBenches' model as a base and put an additional 3 furniture markers on it for NPC/PC to sit. This brought it to a total of 6 markers. The CK gave an error message about mismatched furniture marker properties. However, the new bench shows up fine in CK and is working as intended when tested in game. Is the message about mismatched furniture properties to be considered seriously. Should I re-do the whole thing or can it be safely ignored? Edit: resolved!
  13. Hi, I was wondering if someone would be interested in making a mod turning Wolfhorn ranch into a good but not overpowered player home? Saw only one on nexus mods and it wasn't exactly what I was hoping for. Example, the workbench and reloading bench could be in the lean-to at the side of the shack (where the useless generator or whatever is), the shack could be more comfortable, better lit and have more storage. Campfire, table and benches otuside for companions to chill out. I like to farm so maybe the fields outside could be made farmable, providing crops for food recipes.:) Oh and the pipe gives purified water, not irradiated. Always wanted this place as a player home, plus it seems kind of fitting, only downside is it doesn't have the really necessary facilities, like workbench and so on. Lucky 38 is convenient but kind of meh for my Courier character since she prefers wide open spaces. I know there's a lot of player home mods out there but I like to keep it lore-friendly, and Wolfhorn ranch is the perfect place. Would be really happy if someone takes an interest since I can't mod a mole rat for nuts.
  14. Just saying hi to everyone here and want to know if this is a known glitch.... I sold a snowglobe to Mr. House's robot Jane. After she gave me the caps, I accidentally went back into conversation with her and clicked on the greyed out dialogue line again, the one saying 'I've got some snowglobes for Mr. House's collection' and whaddaya know, she gave me caps again. I was like o_O and checked my inventory. The caps were there! Exited the conversation, re-entered conversation and yeah, got the option to sell snowglobes again...and again and....wellm, you get the idea. Less than a couple of minutes later, I was rolling in caps and could buy every piece of equipment AND implants from Usanagi I ever wanted and couldn't get cos I was as poor as the proverbial church mouse. Tried it again later and same thing. Recovered all the caps I'd spent just by talking to Jane, lol. A few times the option to sell the globe wasn't there, I'd wait a couple of seconds, talk to her and get it again. Infinite loop of caps. No idea if this is a glicth caused by some mod, tho I haven't got any mods affecting Lucky 38/Strip or its residents, or if it would even work for anyone else. Well so I googled to see if this was some kind of bug...not that I'm complaining :D no mention of unlimited caps from Jane anywhere so just thought I'd share with y'all. Hope it helps someone looking for a way to make massive piles of caps without gambling or caravan, like me. Don't have time to play cards, too busy doing quests and offing Legion dudes with Boone, lol. And sorry, hope this is the place to post this, not sure if it's okay to discuss it on this forum. No spoilers here anyway.
