  2. Badass indeed, I've just learned how to actually make my 3d models work in-game with nifskope. I've actually not rigged stuff before but might atleast try to make the helmet. Another concept to my pinterest :p
  3. Ye, the substance package got me into texturing, so much more fun than 2d photoshopping/reimporting textures for every iteration. Realtime 3d texturing FTW. Someone should just make a Fallout4 export template for Substance Painter so we can get ppl to see it.
  4. I just got super excited to use Substance tools now for Fallout modding, been sitting with photoshop :(. Just gotta get my exported normal maps from fo4 to work. Thanks for pointing out the PBRish maps. Fallout 4 sure got some strange PBR system, hybrid as you say.
  5. You need to add a material swap file and from there assign a new .bgsm swap material. You should have the "Armor" making the ingame item, the "Armor Addon" telling it what mesh it is and then "Material Swap" for the material it should have.

I cannot for the life of me figure out where the meshes/textures for the trench coats are, I've found the piper and valentine trench coat but not the normal ones, faded, worn, yellow etc. Anyone know where they are? EDIT: Nvm, found out it's valentine coat mesh, just gotta find the material now.

Make sure you copy the folder structure EXACTLY or else it wont work, I asume you got the .ini changed since other mods work for you, For example, If I wanted to change the t45armflames_d.dds texture I would put it in: Fallout 4\Data\textures\actors\powerarmor\t45armflames_d.dds ,not in data\textures\t45armflames_d.dds
  8. Anyone found out where the location for tattos/facepaint corresponding materials/meshes are? Found the textures but I want to edit the materials for them
  9. Do you mean camo like a paint, or a simple retexture like this? http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/166/? Get B.A.E http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/78/? Extract the texture .ba2 files and retexture them, save in same folder structure and In the Fallout4.ini file located in documents/My Games/Fallout 4 change sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\ to sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, TEXTURES\
  10. I just copied the data from the alpha channel to RGB and then export as 3Dc dds, alpha channel is the only intact, no idea why RGB gets distorted to destruction
  11. Basically, can I add glow maps to items/armor without waiting for "nifskope" so I can add the texture map to a specific mesh?
