Both. Changing the color in the DDS to anything besides green auto changes to green in game. Dot is not on the DDS to begin with it's just "there"

I am the author of the only reticle editing mods current on FO4Nexus and I am having issues with the DDS's. Irregaurdless of what color I change my reticles (Purple = Black [wtf?], all other colors automatically change to Green.) Also the green dot that exists before editing isn't in the DDS file? so eventhough I make a custom DDS there is still a green dot in the center. (I cant remove it?) I can't figure out what is going on here or how to fix it. I've used BAE to extract all BS2's the game has to offer and cannot find anything else related to the reflex round with dot sights.
