  2. yeah its all listed in my bash patch, im not running quarls or anything like that as i know my pc couldnt handle it.
  3. Hello, once again im having problems with oblivion. 1st off i get gfx errors like this. Sometimes it just wont load so again i have to exit the game and reload and then it will work/load in. http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d46/Paul2007/ScreenShot13.jpg?t=1311948984 I had a thread not so long back reguarding this issue and thought i'd finally solved it, but as you can see it's still happening. Although at present im not getting any crashes, i still get really bad stuttering which can last anywhere from a few seconds to permenantly, then i have to quit out totally and re-load. My bash patch is as follows Im thinking its either my gfx card or my hdd not being fast enough to load the areas/building's because they eventually load in (the city in the pictures is skingrad), i have just bough a ati HD4890 1GB, so im hoping it does the trick.   4. Hello Ivoryhammer, try the link in my sig for a re-install, if that doesnt work try uninstalling then run ccleaner and use the registry cleaner to remove all traces of oblivion.

Well ive gone ahead and installed what i wanted and some extras, heres my new bash patch one thing i have noticed is that on the short playthrough i had, i couldnt get the Pilgrimage quest from the knights of the nine started any ideas? no-one in the church is dead and the prophet isnt there?! I have a feeling these wont be the last of the mods i install ^_^ im liking this custom version of oblivion very much indeed.
  6. So everythings working well, im about to add all the other mods i wish to use (listed in the spoiler bit). Question is which should i add first or wont that matter? and are any going to screw my game? Also can i make .omods out of them, then run boss and rebuild my bash patch. Thank you.
  7. Did you install oblivion to the default directory? Vista does not like this. Theres a guide HERE also shows you what patches you need Hope this helps you.
  8. Yeah its a lot better now i have a very informative guide (plus a whole website of help) so a big thank you for making and sharing it. So for the Unofficial Oblivion Patch Supplementals, only use the SI patch and use the unofficial official mods patch for the DLC's? I'll do that soon, plus rebuild my patch (am i right in thinking i have to re-build after every mod added/changed?). Next up is a long play-test before adding my other mods. Again thanks a million, couldn't have done it without your help :thumbsup: oh one last thing, the .omods that are created in the obmm/mods folder, am i right in thinking if i screw up i could use those instead of re-making them in the future??
  9. finally got round to installing, only this time i have the goty edition (early b/day prezzie) following your website, heres my new bash load list. hope thats right? btw on your install guide, if you do the obmm install guide theres no mention of installing FCOM! so i had to revert to another guide.
  10. Wll a re-installs on the cards now, i edited my .ini file (cant remember why and now it crashes on loading into game, be it a totally new one or saved. So its a perfect excuse to do it properly from the start. Tomlong im going to use your site as a guide, ill let you know if i have any problems or if i dont understand somthing. Wont get it dont till the weekend though, so ill report back when im done. Thank you again for all your help. Also any other tips feel free to post them.
  11. WeOCPS has now been deleted. I dont have streamline installed, but as i say everything appears to be running well. Just need to test it some more when i have time. If i still have any problems im just going to go for anoter re-install, thanks to Tomlong i now have some valuable links to help me do a FCOM only setup, and i now feel confident enough that it will be done properly. Then ill add one by one my other mods, testing them for compatability. Thank you again, ill test again this week and update on how its all going at the weekend (if you would like me to?).
  12. Most of the stuff posted before me is what you should check, i only have this to add if your still experiencing problems. Win 7 doesnt like oblivion to be installed to the default folder, check THIS guide out Also are you using wyre bash by any chance? if you are v293 wont work in win 7, downgrade to v291.
  13. Had a good mess around last night, starting a new game gets rid of that "ding" sound. So thats a relief, i wasnt on a serious playthough, just more or less testing it all out. The good news is that everything seems to be working fine, the stuttering is still there but after installing OSR and the rebuilt bash patch, its a lot less noticable and only stutters once or twice which is a massive improvement. No more graphical glitches that i have noticed so far, saying that though i am on a new game so ill have to see if they appear later on into my playthrough. Just want to say thank you very much for all your help, much aprreciated. Oh and apparently i can give you kudos, which is well deserved
  14. just quickly booted it up and got that "ding" sound (error in win 7 i think) but it didnt crash? which is interesting, could my save be comprimised now? should i start a new game?. So i quit back out (no crashes at all, did get stuttering still) and now im typing this as i follow your rebuilding bash patch advice. All the green mods in the list i unchecked to see if a + was in the box (but - more merchant money, regrowing nirnroot and symphony of violence, have nothing in the box if i untick them so i have left them blank) and ive checked all the relevent settings you listed (no .csv etc) rebuilt the patch and will extensivly test tonight.
  15. Thank you again Tomlong i really appreciate the help. Im thinking of getting the All Natural mod to replace natural weather (which has been deleted now). If i decide to use all natural will i need the update as well (my wyre bash is only v291. I have removed the UOP fixes you said and did them through bash tweaks. I already upgraded OOO (got the omod version and extracted the update into it before creating the omod in obmm) or have i dont that wrong?. The super encumberance mod isnt recognised by BOSS, all it does it increase the weight of what i can carry, so basically i can clear 10 caves/ruins and loot everything without worrying im going to go overweight. I have replaced this with the tweaks that wyre bash can do, crossing my fingers it works. The only thing im confused about is the merging mods thing in wyre bash, but im going to have a good read up on it tonight when the kids are all in bed. I still havn't managed to have a good few hours of gaming since starting the thread, but hopfully i will tonight. latest version of my bash patch:
  16. Thank you for the quick reply Tomlong, i went ahead and uninstalled Natural Weather and unticked the G&GD MMM plugin, then rebuilt my patch. Also thank you for the link to the FCOM Installation Guide, if all else fails ill re-install and try that. Here is my current load order via wyre bash as you asked. No idea what the different colours mean? Hope that helps, ill test it tonight and see if i still get the earlier problems.
  17. Hello and thank you for taking the time to read this, and to offer your help and advice. I'll start by saying im not the greatest at understanding how things work, but i have been on with this for close to 3 weeks now, and have tried my best to understand and follow all the instructions that came with the mods i have installed, and trying to fix any errors/problems. Unfortunatly im at a loss as to what the problems are caused by, so i am seeking your help. My latest attempt to get oblivion up and running involved a total re-install of the game 4 times, before i found out that wyre bash v293 doesn not work with windows 7 x64, no problem ive fixed that with v291. Also i installed to C:/Bethesda Softworks/Oblivion and Turned UAC off. I was looking to play this with a few select mods and FCOM, which i have followed their install guide at their site to the best of my abilities, also i used THIS guide for the bash patch settings (although this did confuse me as there were a lot of tags already, should i have removed them?). As for my problems here we go... shortly after starting to play, i will get really bad stuttering, it wont last for long, but somtimes i have to quit as it just wont stop. I have noticed that if i go into console and use the command to show my fps (tdt), theres a line of text that reads: Total BSTask Count:0, when i get stuttering i notice this number go as high as 2,000 and somtimes over that, its definatly when this reaches a high number (say over 500) that i experiance the stuttering. Also my FPS is around 30 outside which is fine for me, obviously when i dont get the added stuttering. Next up, somtimes the texture on the floor will look like its see through, its like a big square patch of missing textures, yet everything (be it trees or rocks) are still there. If i try to walk on it, my character will fall through, strangely i may or may not get the stuttering before/when this happens, so i dont think thats the cause. Also textures infront of me, but say at the end of where the tree/grass/actor fade is (im not sure how far away it is but i hope you get the idea), may dissapear or i may only be able to see trees/rocks (the ground/sea will be missing and it looks like clear blue sky). Other times if i look ahead i will see what looks like a blurry wall of a grassy hill, this usually fixes itself if i walk towards it, then bam, suddenly everything is there. I will try to get a screenshot but somtimes its hard because as soon as i notice it, the screen will judder and then everything is normal, or i just plain forget to press print screen. I have also noticed if i do a 180 spin that the game will stutter and textures will be missing and may take around 2-3 seconds to load in properly. Worryingly on occasion i can hear a *ding sound from windows (sorry again i hope you know the sound i mean, i think its the error one) when things get really laggy, shortly after that the game will crash. The next problem is very strange, its as if textures have been added, but only somtimes (wish i took a screenshot because this is hard to describe). For example, in Skingrad, there will be a low resolution generic house front on the mages and fighters guild, plus the stores. This sticks out further than the actual building so if i walk up to it, i clip through and i can then see the respective shop/guild as if it was normal, but if i turn around all the others are still wrong and when i walk back it pops the low resolution house front back. It fixed itself once but the next time i had to quit and reload. The trouble is this has only happend three times so far, which is very odd. Plus i dont have any texture replacers that i am aware of that would make the buildings do this. The only other place i have seen a similar thing happen was at the bridge leading out of the imperial city to weye, it was as if it had been re-textured but the old texture was still there and wierd black lines (god this is hard to describe) kept flicking between the two at a rapid pace, again this was low poly generic looking stone. I would also like to point out that i have only been play testing for around 8 hours. Also i started in Anvil and worked my way East towards the Imperial City. Everything was ok when i began to play. I do have a mod that will let me carry lots of loot (Super Encumbrance), could that be a problem? i have around 300 arrows lots of weapons and armor plus alchemy ingrediants etc, from a few caves/ruins that i have cleared. My Mods are listed below (from boss so i presume they are in load order?) i hidden the notes and bash tag suggestions (let me know if you needed them) This is what wyre bash says (in a box) after i rebuilt my patch.
