  1. OOC> sorry for the delay, guess i overthought the question and my math got mangled. Áni sighs and shakes his head. "20 gold."
  2. Áni rubs his chin, checking his answer again and again. "15 gold."
  3. Áni closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. Moving to each side of the boulder, he looks down at the remaining skeletons. He carefully lines up his shot, and double checks the trajectory the boulder needs to travel on. Placing his hands wide on the boulder to steady it, he pushes the boulder down the tunnel.
  4. OOC> I guess that's what i get for listening to others, hehe.. Áni sighs deeply and grumbles in frustration. Kneeling down he takes a long hard look at the statues, looking for a clue or some way to use them for his next shot.
  5. OOC> I assume the remaining skeletons are moving up the tunnel now, if so: Áni watches the skeletons movement for a few seconds, and adjusts his aim to match their speed. With a quick but powerful push he sends the second boulder on a semi shallow trajectory to ricochet off the left wall. Hopefully close enough to the group of skeletons to give them no time to react but far enough away to eliminate most if not all of them.
  6. Making certain the others are ready to act, Áni stretches and takes a deep breath. He peers down the tunnel carefully, predicting the path as best he can. Aiming the stone so it will take out the lead skeleton and as many of the rest as possible. Then with a mighty grunt Áni pushes the stone down the tunnel, with a very slight tilt towards the left. Hopefully giving the stone a deadly spin when it touches the curve in the floor. Áni quickly pulls his knife out and crouches slightly, ready to charge down the tunnel if need be. "For blood and honor..."
  7. Áni crouches and runs a hand along the floor carefully searching for anything that could make the rock(s) go astray. He glances at the skeletons every few moments to make sure they have not noticed him.
  8. Áni takes hold largest most well rounded rock he can, and moves it as close to the mouth of the passage as possible. With a glance to the others he moves a few more stones into position.
  9. Áni looks at the skeletons curiously, he had been part of such a formation more than once. It worked better when all the soldiers had shields to help solidify the formation, yet not one skeleton had a shield. Even if Ani was fully equipped he couldn't fight all of the skeletons, he played many scenarios through in his head, if they all attacked they might win with the element of surprise. But no matter how many different tactics he thought he could see no way of someone getting injured, if not killed. His mind finally turned to distractions, but for a distraction to work properly the rest of the group had to know how to obtain their goal. Perhaps it wasn't so important he came out of this dungeon alive... Though his mind was racing, Áni only seemed to sigh and check his knife.
  10. Áni scratches his chin. "Often those that are in-insane believe they are sane and all others are insane. Maybe should question them s-sep..separately.
  11. Áni sighs as he moves to cover the rear of the party. It seemed like he was the only one who's weapons had been confiscated at the gate. All he had was a sharp knife and his hands to use in combat. Clearing his mind, Áni prepared himself for battle.
  12. Áni is found looking around suspiciously in a small, somewhat obscured room. As soon as you an indescribable presence overwhelms you.
  13. OOC> Áni is inside, but who is Ari? Hehe.
  14. Áni moves his knife to where he can grab it quickly, and stands in the center of the room. Despite the fact he had no time to get his armor he was intentionally making himself an obvious target. Crouching slightly, he took on a defensive stance as he mentally prepared his body for combat and pain.
  15. Áni stood at the back of the group, having already assumed the role of the intimidating bodyguard. He looked a little disinterested, glancing at the door and evaluating the security of the building. Áni caught the stronger of the two guards at the door looking him over, and engaged in a staring contest with him. Nothing would come of it, but Áni was interested in testing the will of Armindas guards.
  16. Áni looks at newcomer curiously, then glances at Aldhelm questioningly. It seemed Áni wanted to know whether or not he should intervene. He put his hands behind his back, seemingly relaxed but actually keeping his hands near his knife.
  17. Áni nods a goodbye to fighter and moves to catch up with Aldhelm and Tiax. He silently ponders why the man had not answered one of his more important questions. As he walks he checks to make sure the knife he had gotten from Face is still properly hidden on his person.
  18. OOC> Does that mean Áni will have really bad jet lag when he comes back into the room? Áni looks over the man for a moment, trying to get a sense of his loyalty and his motives. His bargaining instincts from his mercenary days kick in almost immediately. "How long is trip? One way or does he want es-escort back? Need time to find out if i am ava... available, where can i meet him to give answer and talk at him about details." He puts his arms behind his back and waits for the answers without another word.
  19. Áni looks at the girl curiously for a moment, then looks to Tiax and Aldhelm for approval. "You need me?" He made no attempt to hide the fact he was curious who knew him by name and knew he was in the city.
  20. Áni stays a foot to the right and a pace behind T'skar as they move away from the beach. Not letting up the bodyguard act for a moment he marches very much like a soldier very used to moving in perfect formation. Halfway to their destination he slows a bit as a Snow white hooded cloak on display catches his eye. Its unique bronze clasp glinting in the sunlight. After a moment he regains his composure and quickly moves back to his place near T'skar, deciding that the garment likely cost more than he had anyway.
  21. OOC> ::beats Karkarinus over the head with Tiax's admirer:: He's not a barbarian, you're a barbarian! Áni catches the frown and responds with a disdainful smirk, his eyes showing authority and an unmistakable ability to kill. He quickly returns to his duty, paying no further attention to the family. He stood on the boardwalk with pride and defiance, his manner seeming to say that he would not be questioned.
  22. Áni sizes up the servant for a moment and when he determines he doesn't pose a threat he replies. "Jourtres... leave me, i am busy." He turns away from the servant and cracks his knuckles as he watches over T'skar.
  23. OOC> No problem butting in, sorry i wasn't around to post earlier. Hope it's allright for me to do a bit in the past tense? Áni placed himself at a spot on the boardwalk where he got the best overall view of the beach, but in the open enough that most people would have to walk past him to get near T'skar. He wore a "permanent" scowl on his and his eyes gleamed with a willingness to injure if not kill anyone that made a wrong move. He seemed to play the part of a bodyguard quite well, if a little overzealous. Though he secretly wished he had something to keep the harsh sun out of his eyes. Áni glanced suspiciously at anyone that came within a hundred feet of him, and stared down whoever was ignorant or oblivious enough to come closer. He stared silently at the flunkey for a long moment, letting him sweat from the heat as well as fear. When Kalmer took the little fop off his hands he nodded gratefully, and returned to his job of guarding the lady and looking intimidating.
  24. OOC> Malchik, you had said that Bharat Desani had given the group whatever they wanted at the beginning of this quest correct? If so, he chose to get a new set of somewhat ornate plate mail armor at the local smithy before setting off to meet the group. Áni, who had been busily polishing his armor throughout the conversation suddenly gets up and grabs Aldhelm by the neck. "Secret of anti-aging potion dies with him." he says grimly. A moment later he smirks mischievously at T'skar and chuckles as he lets go of Aldhelm. "You need change pants now?" Áni sits back down and looks over his armor carefully before strapping it on.
  25. Sighs and nods a silent thanks to both Nikishastra and face. "Hopefully will not need knife, but i not feel safe with nothing but fists to defend entire group. I not much more than meat shield..." He smirks, but the look of a warrior that was about to charge into war and had no intention of coming back alive was all too apparent in his eyes.
