  1. Carrying on a tradition that goes back to Morrowind and Oblivion, I have started one for Skyrim.

    It's pretty simple. If you can't find a mod, you post a description of it here and I or someone else will find it for you. I think it's better to have one thread for all the questions than a lot of threads everywhere.

    Please don't link to pirate sites or forbidden sites.

    Buddah

    Great idea Buddah, well maybe you can help me I've been looking everywhere for a "backpack" mod a lore friendly wearable backpack mod, I've even tried looking on Russian and Chinese and Japanese mod sites with no eval.

    I have very limited modding know-how or I would have made one already, I've tried and I cant, please help me it may sound stupid but its very important to me as I like realism and immersion when playing a good RPG.

    lol I even went as far as to offer money for someone to make me one, so your help would be great thanks bud.

    P.S. Oh, and if you have time try to find a good camping mod to go with it. Thanks Buddah and company ! Funkshiza my nizza.

    Why hasn't anyone helped me find this mod yet ? come on Buddah ur slacken.

  2. hey, i'm looking for 3 mods actually

    1.) a mod that allows more than one follower (i.e. faendal AND lydia instead of one or the other)

    2.) a mod allowing the use to grab objects, i believe it was taken out of the game because of certain videos >.> but yea, i'd like a mod to have that back, so i can decorate houses :D

    3.) a mod that installs a big castle, for my player to live in, thats like...battlehorn castle but for skyrim instead of oblivion

    if any of them dont exist, i would at least like to know how i can make it myself. i know nothing about hex edits or coding or all that, but i love to design and decorate stuff :P

    thanks!

    I can still grab stuff, I just have to hold down the A button, I use a game pad I hate the keyboard. As for the mods to let you have more than one follower there is a few like http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=5416# or this one http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=4590 this one I can't seem to get working though, it seems to work at first but then your other follower leaves, so if you figure it out let me know OK ? And lastly, there will be castle mods out very soon cuz the Creation Kit just came out Tuesday . If you see a "Wearable Backpack mod" out there please let me know ASAP OK dude?

  3. Hi guys! I have a simple question really, I've played Skyrim for like 120 hours now, and I can't look on those Daedric weapons anymore, and every other weapon in the game is just worser then that stuff, including Daedra artifacts (which is nonsense I guess). So I came here to download some weapon mods, cuz that's the only thing that I need MOAR in this game.

    Anyway, downloaded JaySuS Swords mod, and I'm looking for one more good one that adds some new, high quality weapons in to the game. Preferably not just the ones I can only craft, but ones that will be generated throughout the world, carried by NPC's, found in chest and etc. It's not necessary though, I can settle for another high quality, craft-only, weapon mod as well. Just give me a link or a name, it will be much appreciated.

    Look for "Stand Alone" weapon mods, not replacers, theres a lot out there you just have to look, try searching the nexus for LOTR or I've found allot of good weapons here http://modgames.net/load/246 but you have to sign up to download or you could just find the weapon there you like and then look for it on the nexus like i do, i hate signing up for s***. sorry i couldn't be more help.

  4. is there a mod that fixes the drag and drop bug?

    everytime i try to drag a body or item it just drops =(

    Are you using the keyboard or game pad? I don't know about the keyboard but the game pad you must hold down the button.

    tried both..yes i hold the button all the time^^ but the stuff just keeps laying on the floor and doesnt move <_<

    hmmm?, try changing the button to a different key in the options and see if that works, I'm new to this game but not the Oblivion and Morrowind though. sorry if I'm no help i tried.

  6. It's high time someone has made a backpack mod for us seasoned explorers, how can we be expected to trudge into the wild with no backpack to carry our supplies and loot in???

    A good set of camping gear would be nice to, like a fire, a sleeping bag, a tent, cooking pot, exe...

    I've been trying to do this but I just can't I only have very basic knowledge of modding so please someone make this mod soon???

  7. Best is probably to override the quiver slot, if not the quiver will crash with the backpack anyway.

    Must change so you can select arrows but no quiver is visible on back then you use the backpack. the backpack can be taken on and off like other equipment.

    Easier in Fallout as it had an backpack slot and no quivers. I guess this will require the script extender.

    It won't matter whats a little clipping, I had a Backpack mod in Oblivion and the arrows looked good with the backpack and the TH sword to looked good. So I would leave it and let it clip.

  8. I've actually been trying to work one. I've got a few modders resources from FO3 and FO:NV but I personally didn't think that they looked like something that belonged in Skyrim. If you want to try to do it yourself, I'll post up the links. Of course most of these require textures from New Vegas or Fallout 3. I gave up trying to do the mod after a while because one, they didn't look like they belonged and two, I don't know how legal it would be to use textures from FO3 and FO:NV for a mod for Skyrim. It probably wouldn't turn out well for me.

    BlackWolf Packs

    Leather Backpacks

    The Backpack

    The Leather Backpack one looks fine we could make it a darker brown, can you tell me how to do it if you don't want to It doesn't have to actually hold things i could enchant it with feather???

  9. I fumbled a bit in the ini's and fixed the shadows of people being extremely blocky etc!

    but the shadows on the face at character creation is still very ugly and tearing!

    is it even possible to made the shadow look good?

    This is a sure fix for the shadows prob, this goes into your ini files, the one in your documents\games\skyrim --skyrimprefs.ini, NOT your game ones in your regular files in program files. They are laid out in order the top being for lower end computers and of course the bottom the higher end comps! don't copy and past just change the numbers and add a line or two if you need but these settings are dope! they fix the shadow issue and don't take any fps, this guy did his homework! I wish I could give credit but I don't know how to get it again!

    As usual, change this values in your SkyrimPrefs.ini file (it can be found in C:\Users\*USERNAME*\Documents\My Games\Skyrim\ directory):

    LOW SHADOW DRAW DISTANCE\HIGH SHARPNESS (by me, defosh369):

    iBlurDeferredShadowMask=20

    fInteriorShadowDistance=2000.0000

    fShadowDistance=2000.0000

    bShadowMaskZPrepass=1

    iShadowMapResolution=2048

    fShadowBiasScale=0.2400

    iShadowMaskQuarter=4

    iShadowFilter=4

    MEDIUM SHADOW DRAW DISTANCE\MEDIUM SHARPNESS (by me, defosh369):

    iBlurDeferredShadowMask=20

  10. Yeah i think it´s a great idea. it would add i bit more realisme ti the game, even though i think it´s very realistic already. hope to see a modder on this project!

    Hear, hear, I'll endorse that !!!

  11. Above all else, I wanna see some belts. I mean, where does your weapon hang off of if not on a belt? Not just a waist belt, but a belt that goes over the shoulder as well, for your arrows and your two-handed weapons. Not to mention if you had belts, you could attach aforementioned satchels and backpacks to those.

    Yes someone make a backpack mod don't put it on armor put it in amulet slot or ring slot or tale slot ok? Make it lore friendly to.

    Hear, hear, I'll Endorse that!!!!!!!!!!

  12. Why? Just mod your carry weight in the console, or enchant your boots with carry weight or something. When the CK is out someone will probably come along and put a backpack in the game that you can physically wear. I don't really see the point of putting an ugly sack on the back of a warrior/thief/mage when you rely on ease of movement for combat, but different strokes for different folks I guess.

    The more realistic a game the better for me, I and allot of other RPG players like to explore and backpacks add to the immersion of the RPG experience.

    Take that ! backpack hater!

    SOMEONE MAKE A BACKPACK MOD NOW OR THE YETI WILL FIND YOU !

  13. Honestly, that sounds bad idea. The issue with that blade guy talking is known and unpacking it's "voice" files a solution (I don't know if the new beta patch solved it but...). Unpacking the whole thing sounds unecessary and potentially risky. Whatever, the really important is don't delete or change the BSA itself in any way and the rest is OK.

    Edit: I can't remember having CTDs issues in Whiterun ever once but then this might be the cause I never searched about it too... On the other side it is one the most demanding CPU wise places, mainly at Dragonreach entrance from where most AI from people at the streets is maximum, what can cause instability on some systems.

    Since the cell content is loaded at entering the area I can't clearly relate or understand how unpacking the BSA solved that particular issue, but since reported it did, it did.

    It's better than crashing and it works, and some mods require you to unpack your meshes.

  14. Hi guys,

    Legend of the seeker is a novel written by Terry Goodkind, which i liked a lot, and it would be great to see some items, maybe characters from it in Skyrim.

    Is it possible to make it? I've already seen a couple of mods but only for oblivion and dragon age, but no for Skyrim.

    Just some ideas:

    - Sword of the truth ( i found one, but for Oblivion: http://tes.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=33325 )

    - Richard Cypher outfit ( main character of the story)

    Glad if You can make it :] Thanks !

    Sorry for my english, i know it's not good.

    Yea, I love those books and the TV show to, theres a lot of things in those books I would like to see in Skyrim, I made a Zeddius wizard follower mod for Oblivion and in Age of Conan.

  15. Is there any way to change the players voice as far as the battle/pain grunts or do we need the CK for this?

    Yea those kind of mods are cool, there's some for Oblivion that I really liked it made your followers very unique.

  16. I seen some questions and mods about cold winds damages and similar immersive mods. And I liked it.

    What really lack, otherwise, is a real function to all those camps and houses in the wilderness: it's true you can sleep, but what about sitting near a campfire (perhaps listening trashtalking by the near NPC) ?

    It would be fantastic in my opinion !!!!!

    So what about it ? Do you think it would be a simple mod ?

    I hope someone would be interested to make it...

    Might as well just make a camping or exploring backpack with sleeping bag, fire pit, cooking pot, tent, maybe a log to sit upon?
