  2. I've been working on a pair of heads in Blender 2.7+. I can't get them working because my computer doesn't work well with the older versions of Blender and NifSkope since updating to Windows 10. It didn't work well with my computer before then, either. I need someone's help to make them playable in-game. Since I couldn't get the older versions of NifSKope working, and I can't find the NifTools plugin to export .nifs as .3ds, only the heads aligned properly. All other features, eyes, hair, teeth etc. didn't, so I aligned them manually. Both heads were started in RaceMenu than exported to Blender for fine tuning. I had to mirror both of them because of the irregularities that resulted from RaceMenu. The textures should probably be reapplied to fix that. IDK how... ._.; First is the Bosmer head. I based this on the likeness of a friend. The features are smaller and more delicate than the standard heads, so certain masks and headwear weren't fitting properly. The orc head requires more work, since he's supposed to have his mouth shut and I lack the finesse to make that happen. The teeth are also edited to allow that. The eyes need work because when the natural skin tone is applied to the mesh, the eyes are really messed up as the eyelashes on the texture do not align properly and stretched in an ugly way. I'd really appreciate if someone would help me with this, since I haven't played Skyrim in a while since I haven't been able to play my character how I want them to look, and I've tried so hard to get all the tools working and I can't.   3. I humbly entreat a generous modder with the capability to convert between Blender and NifSkope. I've tried to get the older versions of the programs to work for over a year now with no success. I have a number of mesh work done that I haven't been able to test at all.   4. Edits I made to the Bosmer Armor Pack by Maty743, who has given me permission to show them. I did this mainly as a creative exercise and to practice in Blender. I fitted the armor around the thin male body to streamline it bit. I also created a new mask to fit on the character's face because after heavily editing the head geometry the original mask doesn't fit properly. The Archer's Gloves are made from the farmer's gloves and the gauntlets from the Apotheus Light Armor mod by GuitunScarfin, who has declared all his work open source if properly credited.   6. I started this for my own character, but I think someone can find it useful as a prototype head morph for more orc presets. I am not able to install NifSkope and Blender to convert to nif format so I have to put my work up as open source. Tell me what you think and if you're interested in picking this up.   7. I'm a big fan of the Uruk-Hai and was disappointed that Skyrim went heavy with the standard "green skin, mouth breathing" look.   8. Project I've been working on. Heavily inspired by the Uruk-Hai armor in the Lord of the Rings film series. Original Uruk-Hai armor mesh by Mandarinn, used with permission. This armor was used by specialist orc troops in the service of the Empire during the Great War.   9. I need a partner who can convert between Blender and NifSkope as I can't get the proper setup to convert between older Blender and NifSkope versions. I use both Blender 2.77 and NifSkope 2.0.0, and I have a few armors assembled and a pair of heads I'd like to use in game, as well as release for others to use. PS I myself have followed every tutorial possible to get Blender, Python, NifSkope and all the associated programs working to be able to convert back and forth and none have worked for me. I've asked this before and all I got was suggestions on how to install the older versions, which do not work at all for me. I'm not interested in how to install Blender 2.49 or any of the older version because the *do not work*. I am asking if anyone is interested in partnering up and handling the conversion of Blender files into .nif format, in addition to working on armor mods in general. Thanks again.

  12. I should point out that I'm really asking more if I have minor mods that are rendered redundant by another larger mod with the same feature. For instance, SKYTEST overhauls animal behavior, do I still need NARC - No Animals Report Crimes? I'm not just asking for those two; are there any other examples like that in my LO?

  14. I got a pretty big load order and I'd like to do some trimming to increase performance. A lot of the mods on my list I feel I really need, and I did go through my list replacing and reinstalling mods with the proper patches and newer versions. I wanted to ask if anyone can spot any obsolete or redundant mods that can be substituted with simpler mods, especially ones with less scripting. Thanks :) It's a big list so I'm attaching a .txt file.
  15. Thank you. One of the reasons I wanted to make an armor was because the floppy collar on the iron armor gets in the way of hoods/helmets and the clipping looks bad. I also disliked the fur elements on the iron armor because they lack cohesion with the rest of the armor set and are just unimpressive detail wise.
  16. I'm glad you like it! Thanks for the kind words. I was actually thinking about shortening the skirt/duster because I wouldn't know how to add that. Also, the colors aren't final, they're supposed to look like the Lurtz Premium Format Statue from Weta/Sideshow.
  17. This is an armor I've been working on. It's modeled after the Uruk-Hai scout armor in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. EDIT: I should point out this was done in Blender 2.77, since I can't get Blender 2.59 working properly on my computer. I would need help from someone who has a working 2.59 setup to convert the file to .NIF format along with someone who can do textures. I'll attach a picture of the Lurtz Premium Format Statue from Weta/Sideshow for the color guide.   18. I've been trying to make an armor for Skyrim and I have it fully assembled in Blender there just seems to be no way for me to export it to .NIF format back into nifskope. Tried the older Blender version, downloaded the .NIF plugins, looked at all the relevant help threads, nothing. It's just not happening. Like I said, I have the main armor set assembled, and it can just use the associated in game textures. A little cleanup may be necessary with the weights and other elements to make it work again in Skyrim. I can send it to someone willing to help who can send it back in .NIF format so I can try it out in game. Thanks everyone.
  19. I want to request a mod that removes the generic enchanted armor, equipment and weapons from skyrim and replaces them with more sensible, non enchanted but still improved and usefull variants. There is equipment in the game that have special properties but are not magically enchanted; Valdr's Lucky Dagger for example. It's always bugged me that common stores and traders carried magically enchanted items, and that they had no use because I can't stand that they provide a skill/ability boost based on a small percentage that I don't even notice when they should really have a flat number. For anyone who's played the Knights of the Old Republic single-player RPG's, you'll probably remember equipment, weapons and armor that had special stats, and could give you a better chance at survival during the early game experience . I'm playing with a pair of combat overhaul mods, Action Combat by Proski and Ultimate Combat by tktk, which make the combat more challenging. I am also trying out Legendary Artifacts by Goth79 (check it out), which renders them even more useless. Another thing is that I like the idea of having to balance between a useful but less protective item as opposed to a piece of armor. I would love to do this myself, but I'm new to the Creation Kit, which is dizzying, and I feel this would be relativly simple for someone who fully understands how to maneuvar through it. I'm suggesting the use of the ingame assets, and not custom textures, models, or scripting. I'm also not suggesting anything over-powered. I like playing a meat and potatoes style character who relies on his equipment and wits to survive, using magic just kind of goes against that character concept. Also, there's this undercurrent of suspicion aimed towards magic in the game, so why can everybody walk into the local trader and buy magical trinkets? Effect Types Skill Bonuses +5 +10 +15, etc. Immunities To Poison or disease (I'm kitted out in full armor and one bite from a diseased animal instantly gets me infected or ranged poison attacks always have) or certain magic attacks (these should be rare, and only have on immunity effect applied to them for balance) Armor Rating Bonus +5 +10 +15, etc. I'd like to hear from anyone interested and refine the idea with balance and immersion in mind.
