Everyday of my life since I found out about this has just been a state of purgatory waiting for it.

So, I'll just get right into this. We never really learned what happened to Butch after the events of Fallout 3, right? He was the weakest companion overall, correct? No longer. I like to imagine that(non-canon s*** comin' up) after LW dealt with project purity and moved on, Butch was confused. so, he ventured out west, leaving the Capital Wasteland behind. He took many a detour and became a jaded, hardened wastelander. There is only one thing he kept from his former life: A ripped leather vest with the Tunnel Snakes logo on the back(sleeves are just ripped off his original jacket). Butch would be in his late thirties, but five times as deadly as in F3. He's grown a bit of a beard but still keeps his hair fresh like a Tunnel Snake. He carries a .44 magnum and a machete called "Butch's Toothpick". I imagine his voice wouldn't have the same twang as it did in the day and it'd gravelly and deeper. His outfit would essentially just be The Wasteland Strider Armor. I have none of the resources or know-how to make this mod, so I'm just throwibng this idea out in the open for anyone to play with.

A friend told me of a mod that allows you to attain Arcade Gannon's quest, "For Auld Lang Syne" without any effort. My game has a bug in which it seems impossible to acquire the quest.

I'd like to see the Kings and the Followers in a joint effort to better Freeside and Westside as well as the smaller communities in the Mojave. I'd enjoy it if the Khans patrolled the wastes, making sure everyone stays in check. The Boomers could be called upon to help the other factions if needed. The Chairmen would control The Strip.

I just don't like heavy armor. I'm okay with the Enclave Remnants armor. But, I only wear it for big battles.

The first three don't really matter. But, for climactic reasons, you should do LR last. I did once play LR first and then OWB. DM, HH. It was interesting. I liked the idea of having dealt with Ulysses, and then having hints about him given to my character by Graham, Klein, Christine, and Elijah.

Nothing quite comforts me like the notion that all my Couriers I have grown to love are based off of a confederate general. :huh: Yeah, it makes some sense, seeing as how the independent Vegas is canon.

Those who liked 3 and those who liked NV. I think it all depends on where you're coming from in life. I think one of the main reasons I like New Vegas more is because the desert has a certain nostalgia with me. I also love the idea of ancient Rome being resurrected. Ave, true to Caesar.

See, I feel like FO3 was good and all, but very lacking in comparison to FO:NV. New Vegas's writing is superb compared to FO3. The characters are in depth and the DLC's were tasteful and built off of Fallout 1, 2 and Van Buren lore. Something about New Vegas just makes it so much better than Fallout 3. I think companions definitely had something to do with it. In Fallout 3 all the companions were about as lively as potatoes, while in New Vegas they all had a great bask story and interesting personality.

I second this heartily! I may be biased seeing as how I'm from the Pacific Northwest, but it is truly a great idea. Plus, you could build off of some Fallout 2 lore that way.
