  1. Hey there, These materials are for the different kind of material channels that are used for displaying texture on a 3d model. Diffuse textures can be seen as some kind of "base" texture, more about these channels can be found online. In order to use them in meshes for Fallout 4, you would need to UV map the textures on a mesh, and convert the textures to the DDS-format as it seems like that is the only supported texture extension. Hopefully you can get on your way~
  2. Hey there, If you're trying to create a new humanoid NPC, it is best to adjust the rig to fit the existing game rig (by renaming bones) or to rerig the mesh entirely. This way existing animations would be able to work with it, though compatibility is largely dependent on similar shape. After that it a process of exporting the rerigged reskinned meshes for the head as HeadParts, and skin/clothing as ArmorAddons for them to be usable for the NPC. Exporting can be done with niftools created for either 3ds max (officially created workflow) or maya/blender, more can be found about this on the internet. Only recently have I been able to dabble into this topic in fallout 4 with limited success, by no means do I have much experience with this as I'm still learning about it, I'm just trying to add additional input. Best of luck!
  3. It seems to be crafted differently from other Fallout environments, but that's not a bad thing. Right now I would stoked to see where this mod will go, as I would LOVE to see some more open landscape in FO4. And I also agree that you should wait until you feel like the mod is in a finished state, having a half-done landmass mod would be such a shame. The screenshots look promising, keep it up OP! :D
  4. Just a heads up that the latest battlefield games are not really about campaign. They are primarily focused on online play. Not really my cup of tea but maybe they'll appeal to you.
  5. Yeah I figured it had to do with the info side panel. Anyhow thanks. Hopefully this helps some other people as well.
  6. I highly recommend Hein84's texture mods along with GRASSLANDS and Vivid Weathers. These mods improved not only the realism of my game, but also the performance due to Hein84's texture optimisation! Man I can't say how much these mods spruced up the game for me. Definitely worth trying these mods.
  7. This is hilarious. But in all seriousness, you can try opening the console, clicking on charlie and and typing 'setscale 1'. Don't know what's causing it though, other than typical bethesda.
  8. As it's simply a log file I think you can safely say yes to overwriting.
  9. Yeah this is a problem for me as well. Only way I can find to remedy it is to run NMM maximised. Nevertheless annoying.
  10. If you run the game from HDD, that might be bottlenecking when loading new areas. Very unusual... I also run a 1070 and can run a solid 60 everywhere. But then again I also run the game off SSD.
  11. The Fallout games seem to fit your playstyle pretty well. So not a bad choice of games there  I think you'll enjoy FO3, NV and FO4. (PS: For FO3 you might want to install some aiming down sights mod like RH_IronSIghts as this improves the FPS part of the game so much).
