  1. also this forum lacks the ability to delete double posts.
  2. I have been editing a companion creature, a fire gecko specifically. I recently created a custom breath weapon based on the Alien Blaster. I went to great pains to make the weapon match the Geckos default weapon in terms of how it appears and where it shoots from, the skill requirements, everything while still using the alien blaster damage and animation. I created a custom weapon list for the gecko that had the blaster, and thought it would work. NOPE! The gecko only randomly equips it, and when I go into battle, he just stands there doing nothing. When I put it back to the default weapon, ammo, and weapon list, sure enough he runs in and starts blowing fire and killing dudes. I also tried altering the combat style but that didn't help. Is there a script or something I am missing that informs the NPC as to what weapons it will use? The form for weapons obviously did not help. What am I missing?
  3. Open the location by double clicking it in the cell browser, and then drag and drop the locker in to where you want it. I find the camera to be unwieldy so you may have to use the X/Y/Z boxes in the item dialogue (right side of cell view, double click on your item or hit edit in menu after it has been dropped into cell) I just figured this out last night myself, hope it helps.
  4. Well I fixed it. On the off chance another human being actually uses this forum, the problem boiled down to a matter of filing system. If you open the quest box, and go to topic, pick your topic, and open the response, I was pointing the TESS sound to wvas I had imported as sounds. In this dialogue box, there was data on the folder structure (in this case, data/sounds/gecko.esp/geckofollower and then a box with the unique file name ID with no extension. All I had to do was create the folder system, rename my wavs to the corresponding file ID, and drop them in the box. Then, unlink the TESS so it points to nothing, and voila! it works like a charm.
  5. I was trying to create custom sounds to change Rex's barks to something more entertaining. For some odd reason when I create a new object in the sound window, despite having the files in the right folder and the sound either as 16pcm 44100 WAV or OGG files, it will not play. Not just in the game, but the GECK wont even preview the sample. Any thoughts?
