  2. As far as getting kidnapped when dying in a fight that could be really quite interesting. I suppose it could send you to an interior cell of the faction and automatically respawn the enemies if that cell has been cleared. Then I assume you would figure out how to recover your gear and make your escape.
  3. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/17902 Does something similar to what I am describing though it modifies damage which is something I imagine you wouldn't want for your mod. I wonder if you could use this is a framework for something like that? Not sure how they pulled it off.
  4. I was also wondering if you had considered making your own skill/perk setup using LevelUpMenuEx at all? I think it would be fun to have a wide variety of perks to choose as you level up as in the old days. I imagine that would be a pretty hefty task though. Also is it possible to create a skill or perk or something of the like that improves over time I.E. improved accuracy and reload speed with pistols from using pistols against enemies?
  5. This mod is phat thicc in all of the best ways? Have you been following Cascadia with any level of interest? I would love to hear about any mods WIP or otherwise you are interested in so I can take a look at them. Aside from Ammotweaks framework update. We all moistin over that one.
  6. Also I just wanted to say I am really glad you decided to remove the absurd .50 conversion from standard hunting rifles. They literally already have an existing AMR in their previous titles so that one felt especially like a strange slap in the face to weapon variety. That is probably one of the more major complaints I have with Fallout 4. They don't have that many different weapon calibers in the game in the first place and somehow they can't manage to put enough unique weapons in the game to cover most of them without just lazily slapping a caliber conversion onto a weapon it has no business being on?!?!
  7. Ah. I suppose I just like the idea of having unique things out in the world to discover considering how sparse the more unique content in Fallout 4 is compared to previous Fallout titles. Just looking at the list of quests in Fallout 4 that aren't generic radiant fetch and kill quests made me a little sad at how small it was. Perhaps you if time allows later on, you could have rarer or unique versions of certain guns maybe made of a durable material or something idk. Maybe just some trumped up bullshit lore behind them so that they don't have to be repaired as often and someone who is a fan of the mod could as skins for them or something. I miss having those All-American/A Light Shining in the Darkness excitement moments. I simply suggested Caliber as it is the most straightforward and simple way I could think of to make the weapon more unique. I was wondering how varied the modification on weapons dropping in the world will be. If the weapons are only going to be dropping with more base modifications you could add pre modified version into the game which is what I imagine you are likely doing already. Also how much work would it be to make custom legendary effects just those unique weapons. Maybe Legendary effects that combine 2 of them together to make something a little more unique or even just pumping up the values a bit to have them stand out and be noteworthy would be really cool. Really wish some mod authors would add one or two more towns/quest hubs in the more sparsely populated areas of the map just to fill out the base Fallout 4 experience a bit more because the stuff that is good in the game is done pretty well. It really kinda drives me crazy that there is such a strong framework with Fallout 4 but with some generally lackluster execution. I am really hoping there will be a strong modding scene behind Fallout Cascadia when it releases in probably 1 and half years at the earliest. I would love to do a base playthrough of a more fleshed out RPG experience in this engine and then have the opportunity to experience that again with your work on this ported over by some enthusiastic fans. BTW I have literally all of the time in the world right now as I am out of work and locked up in my home so if there is anything that isn't a priority for you to get done that you think a beginner modder could figure out with some level of perseverance I would be willing to look in to toying around with it. (I.E. some spicier versions of unique weapons legendary effects.)
  8. Hey Antistar I was wondering if you had any plans for unique weapon variants? Honestly would love to have a version of the guns you add with just a slightly customized skin. Finding them adds a ton of flavor to the game experience and I think it would be really fun. Also I kinda like the idea of having a rare variant of a gun be the only version of that gun chambered in a particular caliber of ammunition. Mayhaps you could do that for a weapon that can technically be chambered that way in real life but is not that way commonly. Also I was wondering how many guns in the game will be able to have multiple caliber conversions. I imagine the more varied weapon platforms like the AR-15 will have multiple options. Personally I would prefer if the more powerful caliber conversions were exclusive to rarer or completely unique variations of the gun to give those more flavor. Your thoughts?
  9. The fact they they have interviewed you gives me hope that the next major fallout release might take into account some of the issues with the systems in the game regarding animations and weapon functionality. They always seem to pull a lot from modding in their previous releases. My super uber pipe dream hope is that they will reimagine their survival difficulty or mode to be more functionally similar to WARS in regards to health values and the like. Probably a bit of stretch to make such hopeful statements this far out, but I can only hope that this sort of thing is taken into account even for perhaps it's own specific difficulty mode.
  10. We have had some dope 5.6 earthquake action on top of the spread of covid-19 here in Utah. All this stuff happening everywhere makes it feel like some sort of apocalyptic film.
  11. Hey Antistar what weapon sound overhaul did you say you use again?
  12. Hey Antistar it has been a while since I have posted! I had an idea for an armor system I thought would be great. Is it possible to have a damage threshold system where if you are over the threshold you do full damage bug if you are under the threshold you do a certain percentage less damage based on how many points of damage you under the threshold? (I.E. 1 point under DT is 30% less damage and 2 points under DT is 40% less damage?) I think a system like this if feasible would be great as you could simply adjust DT of armors around the damage of your different ammo calibers in a way that makes sense to you. Just a thought from your friendly neighborhood wall of text poster! (;
  13. Just out of curiosity have you looked into talking with some of the devs of Fallout 4 New Vegas to see how they are getting damage thresholds to work? Also can you modify the different calibers or the receivers for the calibers to have different percentage armor penetration values in order to make it so higher caliber bullets naturally pierce armor better? For armor piercing ammo are you going to have it raise penetration by a set percentage?
  14. shavkacagarikia has a lever action reload fix that allows it to reload only the amount of shots you have already shot out however it does not allow canceling the animation at any point. I hope someone figures that one out someday as I love the lever action's aesthetic and style. shavkac
