  1. I know the game enigine is old and can't handle that much, but I see some people being able to pull off the seemingly impossible with performance, while making the game look insanely good with enbs and high res textures (ex. The youtuber NCR Vet), so I thought there might be extra to do or I was just missing something... Thank you for the help everybody, I got a better understanding on the way the game and all works now.

  3. Hello does anybody know why my rig isn't able to handle fnv modding. I had a computer that can max out games like battlefield 4 and titan fall 2, but it still lags on the strip with no mods. It's still a stable 60fps in other areas ,but when I throw on a simple enb and some mods it sh**s the bed all around, stutters, lag my rig just couldn't handle it. I've used nv 4gb, stutter remover, anti-lag, fake window mode, and all the tricks and bug fixes you can name, it helped to an extent but not as much as I see it helping others. I know it seems obvious and the recomendation would be simply to not play with enb and not too many mods, but I'm just dumbfounded how mod reviewers like Alchestbreach, NCRVet, and other people on the Nexus can play with harsh ENBS, high res texture packs, and a ton mods and still pull off a full 60 fps and I still couldn't even get it to run 20 fps on the strip vanilla. I'm a little bummed about it, I'd like to get into gaming and get a rig again but if I can't get New Vegas to work right I'm just about to stay away from it :(. PS: idk the specs to my old rig, haven't been home for a while but I can guarantee it should've good enough to handle fnv lol.

  5. It does have to do with the height maps, I just tried to flatten the area around it and the same mashed potato hill popped up
  6. I just tried changing the texture and it didn't change anything, I think it has to do with the height because the mashed potato hill (ugly textured hill) always shows up in the place where the hill used to be after I flatten it.
  7. no specific cell i've tried to use the destroyed bus in a couple mods in different areas and it'll be the only thing that doesn't show up, and since you guys seem to have no issues I probably just messed up my game some how, i'll find a work around
  8. Every once in a while i'll edit terrain and in game what's left behind is is a big ugly textured hill that you can walk right through, anybody know how to fix this? http://i.imgur.com/hZbHKTD.jpg
  9. I just checked, there not, it's weird because I only have the problem with a couple static objects and I can't find a solution. I'm probably just going to have to export the models and just create them as new objects, maybe that'll work.
  10. So after playing with the Geck for some time I noticed that some static objects don't show up ingame, like the destroyed bus and pile of sticks. They'll show that they're there in the Geck, but when I play it they disappear. Is there something special I have to do with these objects? Because as of right now these are the only two objects i've had this issue with.

  13. I know how to make them, I just don't know to put them into the Geck.
  14. For my next mod I want bring back Albino Radscorpions from Fallout 3, but I don't know how to create a new creature and apply unique textures (and models) to it in the Geck. Can anybody explain how to do it?
