I also play in offline mode - thanks for the link, it works. I also added a little touch: I managed to bypass the Steam windows almost completely by creating an icon on my desktop pointing to SkyrimLauncher.exe (in my case it's located at C:\Steam\SteamApps\common\skyrim\SkyrimLauncher.exe). Now when I click the icon it asks for confirmation (run in offline mode or not) and then Skyrim appears - no more Steam library, store...

Steam on dial-up? Ugh.... I feel for you Grue -.-
