Thanks. That seemed to do the trick. I guess some mods use elements of DX9 not installed by default, which seems silly.

I think installing either enb or the 4gb mod caused a problem. The launcher failed to run getting an error message saying d3dx9_43 was missing from the computer, and to reinstall the program. Not optimistically, I tried a manual replacement into System32 and SysWOW64 which resulted in the launcher working but not the game. Here's hoping the problem is a telltale sign for something easy to fix. Any advices?? Thanks!
