  1. Hey! Probably a noob question here but I'll ask anyway since I didn't find anything about this anywhere. I was wondering if I can ruin my saves by switching too many mods back and fourth? I have quite a lot of mods installed, but regarding bigger balance overhauls I only played with Ghost Mode from the start. The rest of the mods I have been switching in and out on a regular basis though. Especially mods like Super Turbo Lighting, Extended View and tons of different Reshade Presets since I always tend to go back to vanilla lighting in the end. Could this break my savegame in the long run or are savegames completely disconnected from mods? My mod list looks like this: modAbsoluteCamera23 modAutoLootHerbs modBetterTorches modBies modCan modCatArmorColor modFearlessRoach modGeraltHairWorksRealBeard modGeraltHWwhiteBeard modGeraltRealHWhair modGeraltRealisticSweat modGhostMode modGwentPlusPlus modGwynbleidd-AenSeidhe modHDReworkedProject modHDUrsineConcept modHoldForRadialMenu modImprovedSigneffects modMapQuestObjectives modNewGriffinArmor modNoTalkIcon modNovigradReloadedFullPackage modPEEPERS_Witcherless modPreparations modPS4 modSPLASH modSwamp modThoughtfulRoach modUnoptimizedTowerBase modVIPEHD modZZZIncreasedLod I have merged most of the texture mods with mod merger and the script mods with script merger obivously. No conflicts except with increased lod which shouldn't be a problem since the other mods just have the priority regarding the conflicts. Thanks in advance. :)
  2. Hello, I'm surprised there isn't a mod like this yet or any mod improving the water visuals at all. Visually I love everything about the game except the water. (smaller pools in the swamps for example are looking ok) Bigger lakes and oceans look really terrible! So my request would be - can someone make a mod where the water of lakes and oceans is always wavy? (Are there more states then completely calm and stormy) If not, just set the water to stormy all the time, it'll still look a 100 times better compared to the way the calm water looks now. I guess if it would be possible to make a mod like w.a.t.e.r. for skyrim somebody would have done it by now but that would be even better! Thank you very much in advance! I hope somebody got inspired by this suggestion. All the best
  3. Good idea sir! Thats a start at least... thanks :) still need a mod which don't activates the questmarkers on the worldmap until I've actually been at the place.
  4. Can you specify "it didn't work"? All you gotta do is copying each texture folder from the skyrim hd archives to the skyrim data folder. Would be best if you do that before installing any other texture mods, or you just don't overwrite anything.
  5. Yea I already saw that one, would be nice alongside another mod which deactivates the mapmarkers until you really explored something!
  6. Hmm only thing that might help would be a graphics card with more vram or less mods it seems. Since both is out of question I just have to get used to it. D: It actually isn't that bad when I don't focus on it and don't activate fraps. Slight mouselag when I turn in forrest regions. Wouldn't be noticable at all if the game would run with like 80 fps but enb makes the most visual difference for me so I have to live with 40-60.
  7. Hey, isn't there any major quest system overhaul yet? I really miss the oldscool quest system from morrowind where you actually had to read the directions and didn't get any hints on the Worldmap which even was completely covered in fog! Now I talk to an NPC, I wouldn't even have to hear him out since the quest instantly gets marked on my world map anyways. I find this rather dull compared to Morrowind. :( Even though it wasn't really bigger, it just felt that way because you had to completely explore it on your own. I just can't find any mod that does any of this and I don't get it. Maybe this post is more fitting for the request forum but possibly I'm really missing some major mods here. Enlighten me! Also what are your thoughts on this?
  8. I do the backup myself but I think I'll stick to optimizer anyways just compressing the textures. Compressing bsas seems to cause big problems in some cases. Mhh for me it, the low res version of Skyrim HD makes a huge difference in visual quality :/ I guess I'd rather test lush trees and gras instead of sfo than downgrading skyrim HD. Love the summer version of sfo though. It's really hard to kick visual mods when you're already so used to it. :D I'd love to run sfo with that new lush mod altogether but that REALLY screws up my performance. I just made a fresh windows installation, maybe it'll help.
  9. Thanks for the response! @fiewiel Yea that was my guess too but strangely there isn't any lag when I run the game with the texture mods alone (except character textures/meshes) so there has to be something else going on. Otherwise it has to be the case that Skyrim HD, Flora Overhaul, EDT, Better Dynamic Snow and WATER are just as many visual mods my vram can handle. Well I could go for the low res version of Skyrim HD but it looks really ugly compared to high res. :/ also those mods are kinda must have for me by now, don't want to play without them anymore. @korun Isn't smco basically doing the same thing optimizer textures already does?
  10. I always rebuild the bashpatch. Thanks for your advice, I'll check that utility!
  11. Hi nexus! So my problem is, I run the game smoothly with 40-60 fps outside but when I turn I almost always get an fps drop of 10-20 fps and then they go up again which causes lags. First I thought Skytest would cause the stutter but when I ran the game only with Skytest and the major graphic mods I want to use (Flora Overhaul, Skyrim HD highes, WATER), the stutter was gone. As soon as I used texture mods for the characters I got fps drops again, without calientes body mod it was a lot better but the stutter was still there. So I installed all the other mods in the modlist above except any character textures or meshes but I got fps drops anyways. My guess is, I just have to many script and texture mods for the game to run without slow downs. Since I don't have any other stability issues like ctds or freezes I could live with that... I really would like to know if there still is anything I could do against those fps drops. What I did is compressing my textures folder with optimizer textures using the max preset. Anyways, here are my system specs, my modlist and my Inis, I'll add a papyrus log later. Also I'm using a very performance friendly enb (Winterheart II) with smaa. Skyrim graphic settings are on ultra without aa and with shadows and obj detail down to high, 1920x1080 resolution. System: GTX 570 1280 mb, i5@3,3GHz, 8 gb Ram Skyrimprefs.ini Skyrim.ini Boss Modlist - is it important to clean those dirty edits? If yes is there any tutorial how to clean mods properly? Only found one that explains how to clean the official files. I hope my english is understandable. Would appreciate any help! Thanks in advance
  12. I suddenly get wierd freezes everytime I switch to any weapon or spell or even sheathe or draw. During the tutorial everything seems to work normally but as soon those 2 wolfs (with skytest) attack Ralof and me, the game always instantly freezes when I'm switching. I'm running a s#*! ton of mods but I never had that issue before... anybody has a clue what could cause this? edit: Just tried to get to Riverwood without switching anything and it crashes too before I reach it. Now I REALLY don't know where to look. -.- edit2: Got it fixed! Apperantly Textures Optimizer screwed up Enhanced Towns and Cities when I compressed the bsa. Wrote it back and everything is fine again. I'm somehow unable to attach the papyrus log :( so here is the nopaste link: http://nopaste.info/75815e9aaa.html Thanks in advance  Here is my modlist: Skyrim.esm Update.esm Dawnguard.esm RaceCompatibility.esm ETaC - RESOURCES.esm JSwords.esm moonpath.esm Omegared99-Compilation.esm SPIKE.esm HighResTexturePack01.esp HighResTexturePack02.esp HighResTexturePack03.esp FixedEyeAdaption.esp Unofficial Skyrim Patch.esp RaceCompatibilityUSKPOverride.esp Unofficial Dawnguard Patch.esp Unofficial High Resolution Patch.esp Chesko_Frostfall.esp Better Dynamic Snow.esp BWS.esp IceBreaker's Improved Reverb-v0.02-Cleaned.esp Rooster At Dawn v1.0.esp StaticMeshImprovementMod.esp Economics of Skyrim.esp Chesko_WearableLantern.esp Immersive Battles.esp Immersive Brigands.esp Immersive Dawnguard.esp Immersive Factions.esp Immersive Mercenaries.esp Immersive Patrols.esp Immersive Travelers.esp Immersive Werewolves.esp Moss Rocks.esp Skyrim Flora Overhaul.esp Convenient Horses.esp Footprints.esp WetandCold.esp SkyUI.esp 1nivWICCloaks.esp hothtrooper44_ArmorCompilation.esp isilNarsil.esp JSwordsDistributionBalancePlugin.esp Omegared99-WeaponSets.esp Standard-15Percent.esp ImmersiveArmorsNPCs.esp DeadlyDragons.esp DeadlyMonsters.esp quest_andtherealmsofdaedra.esp tos_granitehall.esp moonpath_questdata.esp quest_nomercy.esp quest_pitfighter.esp quest_pitfighter_dlc01.esp quest_sorcery.esp RiverwoodHuntingCabin.esp quest_seaofghosts.esp quest_thebiggertheyare.esp WheezesDungeonPack1.esp Guard Dialogue Overhaul.esp mjhReducedGoldRewards.esp SFO - Expanded Diversity.esp SkyTEST-RealisticAnimals&Predators.esp SkyTEST-RealisticAnimals&Predators-Dawnguard.esp dD-Increase Fall Damage.esp TheChoiceIsYours.esp TheChoiceIsYours_Dawnguard.esp ETaC - Villages Complete.esp ETaC - Morthal.esp ETaC Follower Add-On.esp tos_amber_guard.esp tos_laintardale.esp tos_oakwood.esp Detailed Cities.esp EnhancedLightsandFX.esp dD - Realistic Ragdoll Force - Realistic.esp Diseased.esp Better Vampires ML.esp ToL_SKSE_by_Brevi.esp The Dance of Death - Dawnguard Edition.esp SkyRe_Main.esp SkyRe_Combat.esp SkyRe_CraftingFix.esp SkyRe_EncounterZones.esp SkyRe_EnemyScaling.esp SkyRe_StandingStones.esp SkyRe_Survivalism.esp GDO_Plugin_SkyRe.esp dD-No Spinning Death Animation.esp Brows.esp TheEyesOfBeauty.esp 3DNPC.esp RealisticNeedsandDiseases.esp RND_Dawnguard-Patch.esp RND_ETaC-Patch.esp RND_USKP-Patch.esp UFO - Ultimate Follower Overhaul.esp UFO - Dawnguard AddOn.esp Alternate Start - Live Another Life.esp Height Adjusted Races v4 - Morrowind Lore Heights.esp EnhancedCharacterEdit.esp SkyRe_Races.esp WATER.esp WATER Plants.esp RND_Water-Patch.esp Warburg's 3D Paper World Map - Texture 3.esp warburg's 3d paper world map - dawnguard.esp WMGAtmosphericENBPlugin.esp Bashed Patch, 0.esp ASIS-Dependency.esp ASIS.esp SkyRe_EnemyAI.esp ReProccerNONPLAYERfix.esp WIC ReProccer Patch.esp ReProccer.esp (moved it to the bottom even though BOSS puts it above "ReproccerNONPLAYERfix.esp, Gopher says so in his skyre video... wrong?) 13. The only thing I want to tweak, besides graphics, is the combat system - does somebody know some good melee/archery combat mods that are well thought out? With 'well thought' out I mean not simply removing the miss chance for instance... this would make agility useless and would break the games balance imho. edit: also a nice needs mod like 'realistic needs and diseases' for skyrim would be really nice to have.
