Ok, so whenever looking the the direction of a town such as Riverwood and Flakareth, even if behind an object or a long distance away, my framerate drops to almost unplayable. This isn't anything to do with mods: my main graphically intensive mods are realistic shaders and enhanced shaders, and I actually get better performance using them than vanilla. I am using Skyrim 4gb and Simple borderless window. Bitdefender (anti-virus etc.) is set to gaming mode. Latest AMD drivers installed. Previous versions cleaned with driver sweeper. My rig isn't too shaby: MSI 6950 2gb OC Phenom x6 3ghz 4gb ram windows 7 64 bit 500 w psu res: 1440 x 900 I was thinking of upgrading my ram, and perhaps overclocking my CPU. Would this help? Is there any other upgrades I could do with?

When I play Skyrim, I am running TESV, Skyrim 4gb and Simple border-less window. I want to make the game priority, hopefully increasing performance. Should I make all of them priority, or just one, and if so, which one?

Seriously, no one? Fine, if there isn't any more comments after this, I'll let it die. -
Umbra Culling - possible fps mega fix

So I was playing Red Orchestra 2, way before Skyrim was released obviously, but that was possibly the worst optimized game I am ever likely to play. Even though I beat it's recommended requirements by a thousand miles, I still got got incredibly poor fps. To the point, there was a console command on there, I believe it was umbra culling, which meant only stuff you could see was loaded (or whatever you would call it). This meant a large fps boost, perhaps not when staring across the map, but when behind objects or a large building blocking your view for example. My main fps drop on Skyrim is when I look in the direction of a town such as Riverwood or Falkareth. Even if I can not see said towns, I get stutters which are incredibly annoying. This is also pretty much my only slowdown in the game. In fact, my fps was unplayable without FXAA PP injector, which I would strongly recommend to anyone having fps problems, but also because it makes the game even more beautiful than vanilla. My question is this. Is there a command or way to use this 'umbra culling'? Side Question (unrelated) Could somebody help me with using FXAA PP injector with Skyrim enhanced shaders. I have followed the installation for compatibility but I just can seem to use both, only one or the other. Could somebody post a dummy's step by step tutorial for me, or a video tutorial? Fisher

LE A few mods to satisfy my OCD - small but mighty mods
LordFisher posted a topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
I don't mind admitting I am slightly OCD. So seeing my sword and arrows floating near my body really bugs me. With some swords and armour it looks fine, such as any town armour (such as stormcloack amour) and an iron sword are all attached. However my favoured steel plate armour and steel sword seem to be like trying to push one positive side of a magnet to another, and it bugs me. The arrow case is even further away. A few things for when the tools are released - someone for the love of god fix the rabbit animation. Nuff said. - can someone stop animals suddenly developing gills (mainly the bloody rabbits) and swimming away from my god damn arrows. I'm pretty sure most of the more err...realistic animals would veer away from water (elk, wolves, rabbits etc.) Small changes but ones which will help me sleep better at night. -

Help! Skyrim not working after patch!

I have a tone of mods. Some include FXAA injector and Blood effects, enhanced water, rain ripples, distant terrain and more....mainly graphics mods. My specs: MSI 6950 oc 2 gb Phenom X6 windows 7 64 bit 500 w power supply 4 gb ram -
Instead of getting onto the starting screen with the options to continue, load etc. It just shows the symbol and fog in the background! Help!

Sorry, idiot here. Could somebody explain it to me, perhaps with a video?

How would I go about making a machinima?

Nothing too fancy, just showing my character walking through Whiterun. I know I can use the console command to move outside my body, but I want to show my character doing stuff.

A humble hunter you shall be, once the mod is made :P

Oh yeah of course, You will need to have a pretty good sneak skill level to hunt pray effectively, I'll even be using the 3d sound to help you find what direction they are in, For example, You wil have a dear horn to make a mating sound, If there is a dear close, it will reply hence you hear what direction it came from. Just an idea but i will make it reality. This project wont be out the day the CT is released, it takes time as i go into detail with my quest mods, Stuff that are essential for me to do before i ever release them are voice acting and lip sync, Everything else is a piece of cake! That sounds truly awesome. Please, message me when it is made in the future!! :D

I would have thought this would be quite simple to make. Essentially you just open the book, type what you want, perhaps ingredients for a particular potion, then exit. This could be very useful, especially if you are quite forgetful like me. You could even implement a way to draw on the paper, like in Duke Nukem, except perhaps with less penis drawings...oh who am I kidding. Any willing modders?

Ooh, do tell :D

Stalking? Explain lol Having to sneak up, and even track prey for a while, to line up a perfect shot yada yada yada. If the animal was as large as a bear, it wouldn't be killed. Perhaps leave it wounded so that we can also gain skill with other weapons when finishing it off.

I'm guessing this would be very hard to do, and may have already been posted, but I would love to be able to go around with a friend.

Fishing, I'm not sure about, But lumberjack is in the game, You just need to buy an axe, Chop a tree then sell to a village lumberjack for coinage. As for the hunting, For me to make it realistic i could add what you suggested "Bleed out over time" But crippling them would be tricky for me as my specialty is making quests not modding npc's, But for the effect i could use a simple "Slow down" effect if you hit a certain part of the pray, It would do the job but it wouldn't be animated with a limp. hmm, I think it would look odd simply slowed down, so maybe leave that one out. As for stalking? (I have no experience with modding, so I may be asking allot)

Also maybe fishing (with a rod), and being a lumberjack (not sure if that is in the game).

Sounds great! Maybe also, be able to sell hides and antlers to people in bars or taverns that want them on the walls. It would also be great if you tried to make hunting itself more realistic in the process.
