Aright guys and gals, got a pretty annoying issue here that im hoping someone can give me a solution to. Whenever i launch skyrim i can not get the steam overlay to work. Theres no notifications, there's no small popup when i launch the game. absolutely nothing. Time is not tracked, achievements don't pop, screenshots wont capture and if anyone messages me i need to minimise the game to answer them. I've had a look round and found various solutions to the issue that have worked for other people including and not limited to: 1.Making sure neither exe file is set to run as administrator. 2.Changing the bound keys to a number of suggested 'fixed it for me' alternatives (such as numpad keys, end etc) 3. Disabling my secondary display 4. reducing all my graphical settings. But no avail. I'm currently redownloading skyrim after deleting everything and doing a full clean steam install. So whilst i wait for it, doesn't anyone have any potential solutions that i can queue up just in case this fresh copy doesn't work? I know steam overlay is a weird thing to get worked up about, but it really irks me that my chievos and screenshots aren't getting counted. as well as having to minimise in order to talk to friends.
