  1. Morrowind is the best of course, every one who doesn't agree is simply wrong :P Skyrim is surprisingly good, even as a console port. I'm loving it and I can't wait for mod tools to come out. And Oblivion.... Well, let's be honest, it sucks big gorilla bolls. I is terrible, the level scaling, shitty generated world, uninteresting main storyline. I could go on forever. Of course with FCOM, UL, MM and a couple other big mods it turns into an amazing game but as vanilla it's still absolutely s***. Beth did a good job with Skyrim, the dumbing down hurts but it's worth the awesome world and atmosphere they created.
  2. 1. No idea. 2. Yeah they get re-populated and the loot will come back too I think it takes around a in-game month.
  3. I don't think so, I also like the finishing moves, although IMO at parts its not slow mode when it should I'm sure the modders will fix it.
  4. I think that the Dragons that are higher level then you won't attack you.
  5. Terrible UI, Shitty Font, No Horse combat, Other then that it's great, the graphics are awesome and well optimized the story is interesting and, well It's a TES game! Although its not as good as Morrowind (No big surprise here since Morrowind was like the holy grail of RPG games) and it's kinda dumbed down, in it's vanilla state still much, MUCH better then vanilla Oblivion was. Oh and Morrowind isn't for hardcore fans only, it's by far the best Bethesda game (well maybe Daggerfall is better) and is completely amazing, if you can get through the fact that combat is s***, you'll fall completely in love with it. Trust me, I played it since it was new, probably more then 1500 hours and I still find so much new stuff in it.
  6. 1. There about 30 torches in there. 2. Does the torches last only 5 mins? O.o If so sorry mate, didn't realise that.
  7. Don't be lazy mate, the mine I was talking about is really close to Rivenwood, it will take you no more then 4 minutes to get there :P
  8. The UI is indeed a console port, but it's easy to get used to and then there are mods. The graphics are beautiful, the textures may be a little low res but other then that, awesome. Oh, and you can bind weapons/spells/items to 1-8, you so silly ^^ Oh, and I forgot about the stability and bugs, and for me, well its awesome. Almost no bugs and had no CTD the 18 hours I played.
  9. Erm, yeah. The horses were quite a disappointment. I hope mods will make them more fun, more stats, horseback combat, all that fun stuff. About the design, I like it, it fits IMO. Kinda reminds me of Icelandic horses.
  10. Torches are really common in mines, and there is one right south of Rivenwood or whatever the first town you're suppose to go is called, you can take them off walls in there.
  11. That's kinda bull unless you're using a very rare and powerful 2hder against enemies that didn't level up or you're just spamming power attacks and crits. Bandits on master difficulty can take 5 or 6 hits no problem with a normal 2hder, at least in my game. Meanwhile, they can 2 hit you :) Well, I was using a good 2hnder and a heavy ok armor, but nothing more. Well, maybe not 2 hits but 3. Still too easy for my liking =P Although I did heard that a 2hnder plus heavy armour is easy mode, so maybe imma just gonna make a mage or an archer next time ^^
  12. I was playing on Master in the beginning but since I sneaked into a dungeon and in the middle of it accidentally quick saved after failing at sneaking through one part and got killed around 20x times as I tried to run away I changed to Expert =P. Master didn't stopped me from one hitting wolfs and 2 hitting bandits anyway
  13. In the beginning it felt like a disappointment, the UI, the graphics, the lack of attributes, zodiac signs and a couple of my fav skills. I was ready to play it just for the storyline. Then it got better, I love the crafting and other stuff that may will fun to do when RP'ing, I also really like the way towns are now much more alive. After playing it for around 8 hours I must say that it's good. If the moding community will work hard, maybe after around a year it will be an truly amazing game. I mean, Oblivion is awesome with FCOM and a couple of other mods. And I can already tell that Skyrim is much better vanilla then oblivion is.
  14. I just dumped it on the floor outside the inn. Now I kinda feel that it was a bad idea....
  15. Yeah, I had the same problem. *Me playing for the first time* "ZOMG a chicken!" *Swing, Turn around and see the blacksmith charging me* FML
  16. Vanilla Skyrim is much, MUCH better then Vanilla Oblivion, even though the dumbing down really hurts me inside (I'm a hardcore Morrowind fan) I still must agree that the game itself is just simply better. I really wish they would leave attributes, zoodiak signs, athletics skill and a couple of other things in though. Also as everyone else stated already the interface is terrible, the ability too watch the item model is cool but other then that there is no good things about it, it was designed for consoles not for PC's. Oh, and the font is IMO completely not fitting. It's too modern looking and immersion breaking.
